My biggest fear about braces was pain. Dr Sharma was very upfront that there would be some soreness after adjustments but explained exactly what to expect and how to manage it. She was right. The first few days after each adjustment are tender but completely manageable. Dr Sharma called me to check on me as I was very nervous. The team always checks in to see how I am doing. Having that honest conversation upfront made all the difference. I would rather know what is coming than be surprised. Coordination with insurance was smooth. During our many years under **Dr. Wong**, including as recently as **April** , our appointment reminders did not include cancellation or missed-appointment penalty language. The reminder highlighted in red reflects what we consistently received during that time, while the other reminders that are highlighted in black shared were sent after the ownership transition. This review is long overdue! I've seen Dr. Wong on and off (due to moving in and out of the Bay Area) since early 2000s when I was a preteen until now in my late 30s. I had my braces done with him back in the day when Invisalign wasn't as common, and I have had my retainers done every now and then by him. 20 years later, I had invasalign done by a different orthodontist only because I was living elsewhere far away. If I was close by, I would have gone back to Dr. Wong. My brother had his Invisalign done by Dr. Wong. I highly recommend Dr. Wong for any orthodontic care. I am very picky when it comes to selecting any doctor, dentist, optometrist, etc. because I value taking care of my health. I do a ton of research on each person before picking them. Dr. Wong is not only the best orthodontist, but the best healthcare professional I have EVER met. He trained at Harvard! That alone should convince you he's the best. Besides being super knowledgeable and a great communicator, he explains details well and is good at making you feel comfortable. He's very friendly. His office is very clean. His staff are excellent communicators, kind, and provide the best customer service. I have found him to be affordable. I would strongly encourage you to look no further. A trustworthy orthopedic staff and family friendly establishment. My brother and I went here for braces.. now my daughter and a few of her classmates go. Easy building area, plenty of parking and directions to find their office. My daughter's dentist had recommended her to see an orthodontist. I reached out to Dr. Wongs office. The first appointment was great. They had my daughter take a series of photos / xrays that showed her teeth. Dr. Wong met with me and my daughter to go over what his plan of action would be. He is a very polite and knowledgeable orthodontist. He went through all the photos thoroughly and answered all my questions. I then met with another staff member to go over a plan of payment. Everyone was very nice and helpful. True, they are very strict with how they operate. I remember my younger self going through the list of requirements, when/ how to schedule appointments and food not to eat. Now I my daughter is and I am hearing an updated version. Although, nothing seemed out of hand. For example if you break a bracket they have only a few appointments later in the day that will be available. Like every establishment, appointment times are sensitive and communication is key. Let's just say, they run a tight ship because they really take care of their clients! I first met Dr. Wong through a family friend in the early 2000's. Back then, I remember getting braces and having to wear cervical headgear due to a bad overbite that I had. I eventually got my braces removed in 2005 when I was in the 8th grade. Not long after, I was told I had to wear retainers so my teeth don't shift and are able to maintain its new shape. I still see Dr. Wong every few years or so to get my retainers replaced with new ones. Whenever I have questions, Dr. Wong always responds with a detailed answer. Very BAD Experience. Their attitude is so rude, so hard to work with and not caring their patient. I do not recommend it if you are considering it, especially in a long term. They schedule me appointment at 8am and told me that's the only spot we have. We are fully book. If you are 10-15 min late, they'll BLAME YOU for not calling ahead. And this is not the first time it happens. In a long term process with Invisalign, do not choose them because they are very time sensitive and so hard to communicate with 0 flexibility. They do not care about patient experience at all! And my GUM HEALTH is impacted. My general dentist recommended me to stop doing Invisalign because it causes serious gum recession. It made me worried so much (my dentist, too) and lost trust because what Dr Wong told me is that he feels ok to move my teeth a bit more. My CONCERN about gum health hasn't been addressed properly. On Oct 4, 2021, Dr. Wong put braces on my daughter's bottom teeth. After 3 weeks (today is OCT 25), my daughter found this small metal piece (in picture below) in her mouth when she was brushing her teeth. Did this bracket fall off? I am glad she didn't swallow it! I will call the office tomorrow morning to schedule a visit. This reminds me of two other visits. One time we had to go back to get instruction on how to clean teeth. The office didn't tell my daughter after they added rubber band on braces. The other time we had to go back to cut her wire. Her wire was too long and constantly poked her gum. We found out this during the regular dental cleaning appointment with our family dentist. I hope these incidents won't happen in the future. I will continue to provide update. read more

Thanks to a referral from a very close friend, and a rubber band bracket that fell off, I found Dr. Andrew Wong and his ALL STAR team! A little backround on me, I had braces growing up, and being the irresponsible teen I was, I had lost my retainer at age 13 and never looked back. Fast forward to last year. My teeth had shifted, and my Sister in Law (who is an Orthodontist in Nevada) gave me and my hubby Invisilign for our wedding present. Yup, It's my second Rodeo. I will be done with my treatment soon, but I needed to find a local Ortho who could help me replace my missing bracket asap. I grew up in the area, and always saw this office building in the parking lot of the Newpark mall, but never ventured in. Well, today was the day! There is plenty of parking, and a large portion of it was shaded too! Score! I took the elevator to the second floor, and soon found myself in the company of the kindest Ortho team I have ever met. I was also greeted by a smiling by Dr. Wong who happened to be in the front office as I walked in. Not all teams are this great, and boy do I have experience on that. I wish Yelp was around when I needed braces the first time ! Other than the friendly office, everything was clean, modern and felt very open and bright. A friend who is also a patient here mentioned they have a digital scanner for impressions. No more choking on that uncomfortable mold for your impressions. Coming here is like going to Disneyland. Dr Wong and his team treat you super extra special. Everyone are so nice and they really care about their patients. Doesn't matter what service you are getting, they treat you as special. I first came here a year ago to replace my 15 years old retainer. I found their price to be very affordable so I decided to come here. Little did I know Dr Wong and his team provides an excellent service. He told me, when you get a retainer from here, you are my patient for life. WOW! How many business can actually say that? I recently had a re-treatment for braces at Dr.Wongs office (I have braces back on as of today). I went here about 5 years ago and since then forgot to wear my retainers...So here I am later in life with braces (although its not that bad) My first experience as a I believe I was (6th-8th grade) wearing braces was very good. Dr.Wong is super friendly and his office is super kid friendly, he does games, and keeps his waiting room fun (although I have never spent more than a minute in the waiting room and I have been there 20+ times - I guess it is for the people you come with...) Today though, obviously I don't want to have braces...Well Dr.Wong said he can fix me up quick(within 6 months) and gave me 3 options: 1.Braces 2.Braces w/ clear brackets 3.Invisaline (almost invisible) They gave me payment plans as well as early payment discounts for all 3 options and used as much of my insurance that they could. Here I am with braces and I feel great in the hands of Dr.Wong! When I get my teeth straight again, retainers are included in the treatment and the new design is wayyyyyy more discrete, they look more like a clear mouth guard. My eldest daughter had two treatment phases that ended when she was 14, and she is off to college this fall with a most beautiful smile. My other daughter is currently 14 and in her second phase. I told Dr. Wong that I'll need a baseball bat to protect my daughters from boys after their braces have been removed. Since I was always accompanying my daughters to their office visits I decided to have my lower teeth straightened in 2008-2009. Dr. Wong installed wire braces that have resulted in perfectly straight lower teeth. My treatment only required one year in total. Dr. Wong's staff is very friendly and at least three of his staff members (Kim, Jackie, Betty) have been with him for at least the last ten years or so. That says something about how great Dr. Wong is. Dr. Wong has been schooled at UC Berkeley, U Penn, and Harvard - WOW! I am a medical device engineer and when I expressed interest in the science behind orthodontic treatment, Dr. Wong let me borrow a great textbook he had describing the force vectors and the mechanics involved. They have a extensive selection of colored rubber bands. The girls loved changing their colors with the seasons, orange and black being favorites at Halloween, and also since those are the colors of their high school (Washington in Fremont). Dr. Wong does conventional wire braces and also offers "invisible" braces. That is important since the invisible braces are not right for all situations. I needed the wire for my lower teeth since a lot of movement was required. Braces through Dr. Wong's office are more affordable than I had initially imagined. After each treatment phase is paid for, there are no additional costs for office visits regardless of how many you need, even after your braces are off and you're just wearing a retainer. Also, discounts were available for multiple family members and for paying the full amount in advance. On the whole, my family and I have found Dr. Wong and his staff to be an awesome orthodontic team. I highly recommend them to anyone with crooked teeth! read more

My son has underbite problem and the dentist referred us to Andrew. My son loves him! The clinic is nice and comfy, the nurses are great with kids. Wearing the brace doesn't cause much problem for my son, after six weeks we started to see significant improvement. read more

My daughter's retainer was broken and her previous orthodontist retired. So I called a few places to ask price and if can make appointment. Got some replies, but either they wanted her to take unnecessary X-rays during first consultation or the price was much higher than we expected. I saw Dr. Wong's website from Yelp, left message and got reply the next day. My daughter was going to college in a few days at that time. She called them and they worked efficiently to accordance with her schedule. She got the new retainer on time and the price even lower than the quote I got. My daughter is very happy with her new retainer because she grinds during sleep and new one's material seems much thicker and durable.
