We have been here a few times and I have yet to leave a review so here it goes! The ambiance is homey and warm without trying to be something it's not. There is a comfortable easy vibe without being overshot. It gets packed so definitely make a reservation! Great cocktails done right (spicy margarita was on point!) and my hubby had a lovely dirty martini. Wine list is a great selection and not too over-priced like some places. My hubs and I split the wedge, shared the shrimp appy, and split the halibut with the risotto (yum!) and perfectly roasted asparagus (double yum)! We also split the dessert which was 1/2 cheesecake and 1/2 chocolate cake. Both delicious. The service was also amazing and I'm sorry if I butcher her name but I think it was Cessy. She was very attentive and a fabulous server all the way around. I did hear recently, that Jeff's is under new ownership and I must say, the improvements are noticed! Our first visit to Jeff's was absolutely wonderful. This cozy, intimate restaurant has such a warm and welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. We loved learning that they don't even have a freezer--Executive Chef Paul shops for ingredients every single day, and you can truly taste the freshness and care in every dish. The menu is creative, delicious, and full of interesting choices. Mariann, our server, was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and even took the time to learn our names, which made the experience feel extra personal. What a hidden little gem! From the exterior this spot is very unassuming, curtains block the windows and with the lighting dimmed they almost look closed. When you enter you welcomed with sleek decor and an upscale ambiance. I was greeted almost immediately and shown to our table. The staff was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Our group ordered the ribeye, shrimp, and Chilean sea bass and everyone loved their meal. I opted for the sea bass which was so flaky and flavorful, and for my 2 sides I ordered asparagus and mushroom risotto. I was surprised that risotto was a side option and was very happy with how it came out! The citrus sauce that was on the sea bass and asparagus was a tiny bit overpowering, it had a good flavor but needed a touch more of either butter or oil to cut the sharpness but that is my only note, everything else was 10/10 and I can't wait to be back read more

Jeff's has long been on my list of local places to check out; not only are the menu and food pictures attractive; the reviews are consistently positive; and more recently, friends have raved about the good food. With a desire to sit at the bar top, it's a good thing we arrived a few minutes early, as there were already 4 couples ahead of us (whew, we succeeded at getting a comfy bar chair -- which, to my delight, was the appropriate height for their counter!). I'm confirming the reviews of others -- and neighboring guests at the bar top, the cocktails were tastefully strong -- filled to the brim (that hubby and I slid our martini glasses along the counter towards us to take our first sips to avoid spilling a drop!). Despite the entrees having the option to add a Caesar or Dinner salad for $8, I'm glad we started off with their flavorful Iceberg Wedge, $20 (which they appreciatively and attractively split). Grilled bread is available upon request! Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his 14 oz. Rib Eye ($51); I, too, very much enjoyed my order of Pan Roasted Salmon - with savory sides of mushroom risotto and roasted mixed vegetables ($35). After browsing through Yelp photos, I figured I'd be able to identify Jeff; however, learned that Jeff has been replaced by new owner, Paul! We feel so privileged to having met him; Paul described the goal of making dining there an "experience" -- which it was! Comfortable and casual atmosphere, with a fine dining experience. Such a hidden gem of a place. Jeff's Inviting Food and Spirits has limited opening hours and is also quite a small and cozy place. It's very easy to miss as the restaurant is almost hidden within an undescript strip mall off of a major street in Orange. However, their food and service are of the upper echelon. To start, their service was excellent. The staff was very attentive and our waitress was just the friendliest. She steered us in the right direction regarding the menu (although I'm sure the other options are just as good). The food was delightful. Each of the dishes we ordered had great flavor and were enjoyable to the last bite. My personal favorite was the garlic shrimp, makes sense why they have both an appetizer size and an entree size. I didn't order a drink myself but I had a taste, their drinks are also very good and were poured quite generously. I am definitely making it a plan to come back as I want to try more of their menu and drinks. read more

Wow, what an amazing place! Went with my friends and could not have ask for a better time. My Halibut dinner was so stinking good and both of my friends enjoyed theirs also. This is a hidden Gem!!! I will be going back with the hubby and other friends. Service was awesome, Staff was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Its small so I understand why reservations are needed for Friday/ Saturday but so worth it. I kind of wish I didn't write this because it might be harder to get in the next time! As someone who has lived In Orange all my life I can't believe I had not been to Jeffs prior to my first time this week. I know something was different when we got to the restaurant early and there was a line to get in before it opened. Luckily, we had reservations and they had our table ready to go. We ordered Salmon and steak, and both agreed it was one of the best meals we have had in a long, long time. Paul came over to say hello and was genuinely warm and welcomed us. Eating here for the first time and not the last. I am working in the hood from out of state and was a little skeptical when I arrived as the place is in a strip mall and totally non-discript. I walked in and immediately felt welcomed and was impressed with the decor and set up. First time ! Wow ! How did I not know about this hidden gem for so long?! The lobster ceviche was our starter and it was incredible! Followed by the filet, accompanied by mushrooms and brussels. The buttery filet which melted in my mouth. I never eat a full meal. Until tonight. I ordered a second side of the delicious brussels that I just couldn't get enough of. The Chef greets you at the door with a welcoming and inviting demeanor. Honestly, he made the meal. Besides the fact he is the creator, he made the whole experience for us. He came to check on us after the food arrived; after we had time to indulge in the incredible food. We finished it off with the new york cheese cake and chocolate cake. Did I mention the lemon drop martini pour to the rim ? Not a detail was missed by this experience. I will definitely be back and will not forget this wonderful experience. Wow, we had our first dining experience here after recently moving to the area. These are the absolute nicest people. We met the owner, and he was so kind and welcoming. I went with 3 others for dinner. All three said their steaks (filet and rib eye) were fantastic as were mushroom risotto. I pieced my dinner together with a salad, balsamic brussel sprouts and french fries. Came here to say they were the best french fries I have ever had! Lol perfectly done. Fresh not Frozen! Fresh food is the name of the game at Jeff's. There is no freezer, so everything tastes excellent. My favorite is the amazing risotto usually paired with scallops. Tried Jeff's in December and wow! The food is fabulous along w the service. Many ppl there (that were obviously regulars) celebrating the Christmas season. First off the staff and owner, Jeff, made you feel right at home upon sitting down. I love that the waitress is taught to ask for you and your parties names after introducing herself. Very professional. We had the ceviche and the bruschetta toast. Ceviche was as expected but the Bruschetta was amazing. The Steak, Sea Bass and Hanger Steak were all phenomenal and I would definitely recommend any of these dishes to a friend. Tug away in strip Plaza, place a bit small so expect to get warm in there we came 4 off us at 5.30pm and this time crowds were coming in, glad to wear short dress sleeve, our gal Cici was attentive and awesome, drinks were strong too we had raspberry martini and espresso martini that last me long time. Our food fresh made from scratch so need time to prepare, kitchen work open by the bar, behind, so you can see how much work chef do. Decided to make a reservation here for Friday night to celebrate an event. Do highly recommend making a reservation as soon as possible on high volume nights, as it's quite a small place, so it fills up quickly. We came as a party of four and we're sat at half past 7pm. We ordered drinks and waited for bread. The owner brought out some French fries for our kids and they were excited about them and though they were very good. We ordered a variety of seafood and filet and we all thought everything was very good! The sides varied for all of us from Brussels to sweet potato fries but they were all delicious. We also ordered dessert which was great- a chocolate cake and a cheesecake with varied fruit accompaniment. The reason for the 4 stars instead of five was really for the service. It started strong but as the restaurant was getting close to close our server became less visible. There was a decent amount of sitting around looking/waiting for her while (I think) she was working through her closing tasks. Overall, this place is great! So my husband and I recently visited Jeff's inviting food. We saw some yelp pictures and all looked yummy. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a really nice server. She was efficient, quick, friendly and made sure we were great at all times. We ordered their cheeseburger. Oh my god! The best I've tried around this area. Sooooo delicious and perfectly cooked. Their fries were bomb also. You literally taste the quality of ingredients. We loved this place and are so glad we found it. Definitely a gem. Their staff is so nice and ask you name :) to create this familiar ambiance that makes you want to come back. Since it was my husbands birthday, he was treated with some cake. Gosh!
