We started with a 1/2 dozen Kumomoto Oysters. I enjoy a splash of cocktail sauce and horseradish on mine. For dinner, I went with the Farmed Colombian Tilapia and my boyfriend had the Shrimp & Scallop Combo. I went with sautéed fresh spinach and Sweet Buttered Brentwood Corn, while he chose Brussels Sprouts with Mac and Cheese. They offer a basket of incredibly warm bread and butter. We skipped the option for dessert this time. They have indoor, bar, and outside patio seating. In inclement weather, ceiling fans or heaters help patrons stay comfortable. The restrooms are clean and the tvs show a variety of sports on them. Reservations are encouraged, especially when the Angels or Ducks are playing a home game. Sunday for lunch at 11:30. My friend and I ordered calamari and it was good and crunchy. I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop combo with a side of Mac and garlic mashed potatoes. It's hard to explain why a Restaurant can be soo disappointing. The Shrimp were small dry and very hard. You couldn't even take the fails off. The Mac was way over cooked and the cheese was very light. The garlic mashed potatoes, I would have liked to taste some garlic! I wonder if they cooked this Saturday night and served it Sunday morning? It's possible? This dish was $35 dollars. I've had better shrimp at a taco restaurant for $3. Very disappointed!!! We celebrated Father's Day two days early and the men chose King's Fish House. I usually make most of my reservations through Open Table, but nothing was available for a party of nine for lunch, so I called the restaurant. The hostess who answered my call was able to "squeeze" us in at 1:15 PM. Service was fantastic from the moment we walked through the door. Both hostesses were so friendly and welcoming and seated us right away (we did arrive about 15 minutes early). Our server, Colleen, was also fantastic! She was very easy to talk with as we had a couple of short conversations during our time there. She was also very pleasant when my daughter's cheeseburger came with everything on it, which she only eats plain, and took it back and had it made the way she likes it. Everyone was very happy and satisfied with what they ordered. I wanted to try something different and decided to order the Seafood Cioppino. It had a nice variety of seafood such as fish, crab, three shrimp, calamari, clams and mussels. It was a bit hard to eat because I had to peel the shrimp and crack open the crab, so it did get a bit messy. I was given a bib to use, which came in handy. My son and I ordered the Crunchy Roll and it's one of the BEST we've ever tasted! My family and I would agree the BEST food was the sourdough bread and butter that comes with our meals! Came here for dinner and had a pretty good experience overall. The crab cakes were delicious and packed with flavor. I'd definitely order those again. I also tried the clam linguine, which was just okay for me. It had a very strong seafood flavor and I wish it had a bit more butter to balance everything out. The fish and chips were good with nice flavor, but the batter was a little soggy on one side but still enjoyable just not as crispy as I was hoping for. For mains: Seared Yellowfin Salad -- super fresh, light, and flavorful. The citrus ginger dressing really brings it together. New England Lobster Roll -- buttery, packed with lobster, and comes with fries + slaw. No complaints here. Had to end it with dessert since we were celebrating--went with the bread pudding this time instead of my usual butter cake. Honestly... no regrets. This place has become a special spot for us - it's where we had our very first date, so I thought it'd be meaningful to come back a year later for our anniversary. They also went out of their way to seat us at the same table where we sat a year ago upon our request! They are so sweet for doing that! They surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert - a generous portion of bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (forgot to take a picture!) - which definitely earned major brownie points! The bread and butter here are always a hit - freshly baked, hot, and perfectly crunchy every time. My go-to entrée is always the Chilean Seabass. They make it perfect here - flaky and "stringy", and seasoned just right. They offer it two ways: Miso Yaki (my favorite) which is sweet and saucy with veggies, and Wild Ross, which is grilled and a bit on the drier side. We ordered both tonight, and they were solid dishes all around. I'll admit the price is steep at $44 each, but they're consistently delicious. It came to our table warm, fresh, and with that classic sourdough taste present. We actually ended up asking for a second loaf since we ate it so quickly. *Clam Chowder: A classic seafood soup. There are bits of clam and potatoes throughout, no complaints here. *Crispy Calamari: The plating made it seem like the serving size was on the smaller end. Quantity-wise no one mentioned it, so I wonder if it's just how it appeared or if this is the standard size. I like that the calamari breading is thin and doesn't drown the calamari. The breading is seasoned well, and the dish was crispy. *Grilled Shrimp with Corn: The shrimp were large, cooked well, and tasty. They give a decent number of jumbo-sized shrimp (about six). The corn sides (my younger brother insisted on ordering corn twice instead of two different sides this time) were grilled and seasoned, so at least it was delicious to eat and didn't taste tinny or canned. *Chilean Miso Sea Bass: The fish was tender and flavorful! The miso is strong in this dish and on the thicker end, and it pairs well with jasmine rice to temper it. I appreciate that the cut of fish was large and there were plenty of mushrooms in the sauce. It's on the pricier end of the menu, but in a range that's common for sea bass dishes overall. Due to the size, it's a good shareable in my opinion. Overall, this is a great spot for seafood. So 2 years later I decided to come back here and give this Orange location another try and the Service was Excellent!!! Yay! Christopher helped my family and he was attentive, friendly and provided the best customer service. Our meal was delicious and perfect thanks to him! The food is always good here (love the oysters, artichokes, scallops, the amazing sourdough bread!) and just make sure to make a reservation on Open Table so you don't have to wait. Also when you make your reservation you can request indoor or outdoor seating. Since it was January I preferred indoor seating and the ambiance is nice with a mixture of booths and tables plus the bar area. read more

My friend took me here for my birthday 12/14/25. The LA Rams were hosting the Detroit Lions so I requested a table close to a TV to watch the game. The host abided and sat us where we had a TV to ourselves and switch to the Rams/Lions game. We were approached by our waitress who took our drink orders. Over the years, Kings has become one of my favorite restaurants. The sand dabs are my favorite dish. I love the lemon and caper sauce and the fish is coated with just the right amount of crunchy parmesan. The garlic spinach is fantastic. I also enjoy the mashed potatoes. Service was really slow. Typically wheat people depend on tips and you're gonna get tips based on selling more. We never got asked if we needed another drink we had to ask for another. My husband ordered the oysters, which is a mix of different kinds and love them. Clam chowder was pretty good. Then all down hill from there. I had the macadamia crusted halibut which was completely overcooked, possibly a bit freezer burned. I love spinach, but theirs was so bland. Hubby had the Louie. The worst ever.
