The donut is pretty thick and doughy but had a great flavor with just enough sweetness. The cream cheese and salmon did not have enough salmon flavor for me. But it was still good. The lucky charms donut was sweet and tasty with lucky charms sprinkled on top. I also had a vanilla latte which was delicious. I recommend getting one while you walk around town. read more

These Brioche style donuts are a treat just glazed. I do recommend trying a few of their flavors, we had S'mores snd maple bacon. I was not adventurous enough to try the salmon, which Jellyfish is famous for. If traveling on a cruise ship, don't wait until the last minute before last boarding call. Like most donut shops, Jellyfish is small, cute and colorful decor welcomes you in. You place your order on a dry erase laminated sheet then wait for each donut to be made to order. After disembarking from our cruise in Berth 3, it was a short 6 minute walk. I was pleasantly surprised to not find a long line outside Jellyfish Donut. My son immediately saw the Unicorn Donut with all the sprinkles and wanted that to be his donut. I opted for the Salmon, and my husband got The Homer. We also got iced coffees. We sat on the curb out front and ate our donuts while watched the cars drive by. My salmon donut was DELICIOUS. My son and husband both enjoyed their donuts, as well. Loved this place!!! We stopped here while we were cruising and heard about this local spot, and it did not disappoint! The donuts were so amazing -- flaky, sweet, and flavorful! The staff was so funny, helpful and soooo nice. I also love how they support local artists with the art/mini shop inside of their store. Overall, the vibes in this place were amazing and you should definitely support a small business by going here the next time you're visiting!! I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed. The salmon donut was simply cream cheese mixed with very small pieces of salmon atop a heavy dense raised doughnut. Certainly not $15 worth. The doughnuts all tasted were raised yeast style yet were all as dense as a grandmas fruitcake a year after its Christmas birth. The differences in varieties sounded cool, but were really simply the same sugary glaze with maple, bacon, cereals etc. Don't waste your hard earned money on this marketed tourist trap. read more

If you're in the area you HAVE to stop in for a donut! With so many flavors it was so difficult to choose! And they have dumplings and slushees that I wish I could have tried! In the end I got a Cookie Monster donut and a chocolate sea salt donut. The Cookie Monster donut looks phenomenal. I love the blue icing and that it's topped with cookie crumble. Even though the donut is covered in icing, it wasn't too sweet or overpowering. The donut also has a really nice chew to it. Very good and very filling! The sea salt donut blew me away! The sea salt is in large enough chunks that it lingers in your mouth as you chew, ensuring that you get both the sweet and salty for the duration of your bite. So so sooo delicious! Located across the street from the cruise port, it's hard not to be tempted to stop by for a donut! The space is small and packed with fun jellyfish merchandise - from sweatshirts to jellyfish earrings. They have a white board listing the donuts for the day. There were at least ten options. I went with the oreo. The woman at the counter was lovely and called out my donut choice to the back room. Within minutes my donut was ready! The cake part was fresh and the chocolate icing on top still hadn't dried. This donut was definitely prepared for me! While the price is a bit higher than a standard donut, it's massive in size! We stopped by here for a quick "specialty" donut and got 2 Nutella donuts, which were quite good. The staff was really friendly and there was no wait. Interestingly one donut had the glaze dried on (appeared to have been made a few minutes earlier) and was much easier to eat while another one was "freshly made" and the glaze was runny and quite messy. Jellyfish Donuts was right across the street from where our cruise ship docked. It was a rainy day and we thought to duck in out of the rain and try a donut. So glad we did. We got there just in time and there wasn't a line. With so many options available it was a tough choice. I went with the Lavender donut, wow! The lavender was present especially in the pieces on top but it was not overpowering. An excellent show and mix with the vanilla frosting. I really wanted to like this place and received stellar recommendations from several friends. I stopped by during my Alaska cruise on April 25th. Customer service was top notch, and the place was clean, but unfortunately, the actual donuts I received -- the Salmon and Unicorn -- were extremely stale. I enjoyed the salmon cream cheese topping with green onion, but the "dough" part was almost inedible. It was cake-y and chewy, two things that shouldn't be associated with donuts. There was no redeeming qualities to the unicorn based on the day-old staleness. I would not recommend checking this place out unless they are guaranteeing a fresh donut before ordering. Your luck may be better than mine, but I'm still left wondering whether my experience was typical or simply a fluke. And I really hope it was the latter, because if the taste matched how delicious they looked, this concept would have worked well. We visited Ketchikan, Alaska on our 7-day Carnival Cruise last week and we decided to give Jellyfish Donuts a try after reading the Yelp reviews. The little shop was situated right across from where our ship docked so it was an easy walk. When we got there, there was already a line out the door with locals and cruisers alike. After about a 20-minute wait, we were presented the impossible task of selecting a donut to share. To ensure we could best represent the experience, my travel companion and I decided to each get one - and we each added a beverage as well. The things we do for our fellow Yelpers! ;) The staff (we think owner?) was nice and kind in a no-nonsense kind of way. With a line out the door, chit-chat isn't something you'll get at this donut shop. Know what you want, order, and move on to the next person was the routine for the 20 minutes we waited. As for tast, i give the maple bacon a 8/10, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 7/10, salmon donut 9.5/10. Everyone was very friendly, first time I went in, as soon as they opened, I got my order pretty fast and I was in and out despite the long line. Second time, I did wait roughly 12 minutes. It's more of a boutique donut shop with a small selection to choose from which are made fresh with unique flavors. A very friendly owner had about ten different donuts on display and explained what each was. She explained that she uses fresh and natural ingredients. We ended up purchasing pretty much one of each to take back to our ship. Yummy! Pay no mind to some of the hater reviews here. These are tasty donuts. Some better than others. I actually am not a big doughnut fan, never have been. I'm from Portland where Voodoo Doughnuts appears on all the national food shows, and gets lots of hype, but I've always been "meh." I happened on this little spot in Ketchikan one evening wanting just a small sugar snack. This place doesn't have a case of doughnuts, rather they sort of make it after you order. The doughnut I had was piping hot, with a very light cake texture, not overly sweet, with a smooth sweet, but not crystallized sugar frosting.
