Visited after a meal at Belles next door. Our waiter recommended it after asking for an ice cream recommendation. It's a cute window counter and they had their flavors and specialty menu items written on a sandwich board. Sampled their goat cheese and cherries flavor and it was superb. Decided to order it on a waffle cone - so good! We also ordered a double scoop on a cone (banana pudding and a peanut butter flavor). Also a double scoop in a bowl with a waffle cone piece. Went here with some friends after hanging out at the nearby skatepark. We've always walked by but never stopped in, so we figured it was a good time to finally try it. The store itself is very small, so there's not much space to sit inside. We just took our ice cream outside and enjoyed it there. I ordered the signature 3-flavor waffle bowl with brambleberry crisp, toasted s'mores, and wild berry lavender. The flavors were interesting and unique, and each tasted fresh and well-made. Portion sizes were reasonable for the price, though it is a bit on the expensive side -- which isn't surprising given the location in Venice. Service was fine, just two employees handling a busy day, but they managed to keep up without any issues. Nothing particularly stood out, but it all ran smoothly. Overall, a decent stop for ice cream if you're in the area. Worth trying for the creative flavors, but probably not a place you'd hang out in for long. read more

We showed up about 10 minutes before closing after dinner at Si! Mon and were so glad we didn't skip it. We stood outside eating our delicious ice cream while music from the clubs spilled into the street was such a fun little moment. The energy totally pulled us in and right after we finished, we walked straight over to Belles Beach House for drinks and dancing. Eating ice cream with nearby parties thumping in the background was the perfect start to the night. read more

Great ice cream, definitely on the expensive side, but worth it while you are walking along the Ocean. Service was fantastic. Trying flavors on little silver spoons does make you feel fancy. Lots of construction work going on nearby but with the beach so close, ambience is great. Over all great spot to try. jeni's has one of my favorite chocolate ice creams, the darkest chocolate is amazingg for someone who really loves rich dark chocolate. the brambleberry crisp is great if i want something lighter, but i would always recommend sampling all the seasonal flavors too, they're always so good! the standard size is around $8 for two half scoops which is pretty pricy but also somewhat expected in venice :') read more

I almost skipped Jeni's. Almost. And thank god I didn't, because this ice cream saved the night like a sweet little rainbow-swirled superhero. I got the Rainbow BFY (Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt) with Buttercream Birthday Cake in a waffle cone, and OH MY GOD. The tangy buttermilk base of the Rainbow BFY is bright, citrusy, and wildly refreshing--like sherbet's cooler, more sophisticated cousin. Fun ice cream shop with some vegan/dairy-free options that are quite tasty. On a hot day, it's very refreshing. They have 3 dairy free options and all of them are delicious. My only complaint is how sweet it tastes. The sugar content is just a little too sweet for my taste buds. Otherwise, the place was clean, employees were friendly and prices were decent. read more

Premium flavours! Be sure to check out their seasonal exclusive flavour board! And don't be shy to ask for samples! In my photo, we have the darkest chocolate, mint chocolate chip, bay leaf cheesecake, and wildberry lavender. The wildberry lavender left a lasting impression, really nice lavender flavour balanced with citrusy berries, really refreshing, paired quite nicely with my darkest chocolate; I felt it would've paired quite nicely in an affogato too. It's a flavour I'll be sure to look out for on my next hunt for ice cream and try to replicate back home. The bay leaf cheesecake deserves special mention too, it's a crumble cheesecake ice cream with a refreshing kick to it. read more

They also have an Excellent dairy free flavor choice. Larchmont village offers free public parking lot on Sundays. Otherwise it's a zoo on the weekends for on street parking especially with the farmers market. read more

Ever since I came here for a yelp event, I've always looked forward to returning to this particular location, even though it's one of the furthest for me. This location just has a window, and not an area where you can physically see what is on offer, but of course they have the flavors listed outside, so you're bound to find something you'd like. Found out the friendly employee I had that particular day at the event was Melvin! If I go on certain days, I get to see him AND get two (or three) awesome scoops of some of my favorite ice cream, so it's worth the trip. Parking is horrible in the area and of course, I always seem to come on a street cleaning day, so if this is a make or break, avoid Monday and Tuesdays. read more

Jeni's is probably one of my favorite ice cream places! This location is located in the downtown Venice area and it's just a little window so no seating really. The parking can be difficult since it's such a popular area but there is some street parking. I got the "single scoop" which comes with 2 mini scoops and you can mix and match flavors which is great! This time I got the Gooey butter cake and coffee with cream and sugar. Both are really good and the gooey butter cake is a classic! I love how consistent the ice cream always is. read more

What's not to love about ice cream in warm sunny weather? I know Jeni's is a chain but they don't have them where I am. I saw the board with fluffer nutter pie and couldn't resist. Last minute I decided to add a scoop of gooey butter cake and this was definitely a good move. The cake pieces are so salty with a caramel-like quality. Really decadent and indulgent. Ice cream is creamy and really flavorful. The staff was kind and quick. A nice spot to grab a cone while strolling the sidewalks or the boardwalk. read more

Had a wonderful experience here. Ordered the 3 scoop option with Gooey butter cake (12/10) bramble berry crisp (9/10) and rainbow BFY (10/10) I loved that they allowed me to try as many flavors as I wanted before making my final decisions. Service was great. I will say that it is a bit pricey and the portions are half scoops not full, so you don't get a whole lot of bang for your buck but it is Venice beach they have to pay their rent somehow! Overall I would definitely come back. My hubby and I agreed it was some of the best ice cream we've ever had!! read more

Very convenient Jeni's just off the Venice boardwalk. It's to-go only but you can just walk nearby and find seating on the beach or boardwalk somewhere or in the neighborhood. This isn't my favorite Jeni's location because you can 't see all the flavors since it's just an order window, and it's complicated to easily choose and taste the flavors. Jeni's flavors are very special and the limited flavors are always different. You have to taste them to really know them ('jelly doughnut' or "everything bagel" are prime examples). So tasting them is part of the treat. For myself, a lot of the fun of a visit to an ice cream parlor/store is seeing all the ice cream out on display before I order....borderline drooling over all the colors and textures in the ice cream tubs. You don't have that experience at this location. But it's super convenient and quick. if you're lucky you might find parking outside at the meters or a few blocks to the west. Otherwise you're stuck with the pricey beach parking. I wouldn't choose this location as a destination like the one on Rose Ave. nearby (which was closed). But if you're on the Venice boardwalk already and walking around, it's a fantastic choice for some amazing ice cream. I love the special limited flavors. And don't forget that Jeni's has a downloadable App! You get free upgrades like waffle cones and points towards extra scoops when they scan the code on your app when you pay. read more

Tried this place, while on the way to Venice Beach. Very close to the beach and great customer service. I got the salty caramel and milky chocolate, however the flavors were not too good. It was tasty, but definitely tasted like something I could buy at a grocery store. read more

This is supposed to be one of the best ice creams out there, it was started as an artisanal LA based vegan ice cream pop-up, and I had no idea that it was vegan when I ate it. The service was a little slow, but I think they were busy and slammed so I didn't mind waiting a few minutes for the ice cream. The ambiance is unique, but it is very cozy and there isn't a lot of room inside so I wouldn't plan on staying there, haha. This place happens to be the first place to offer chimney cake in Los Angeles and so you know I just had to try that. Even choosing which chimney cake to get was hard! They've got 18 different types or you can even create your own! From oreo to nutella to coconut to Disney inspired or unicorn inspired; they've got something for everyone! I ended up getting the very cute Minnie Macaron chimney cake which has Italian-style soft-serve gelato, French Macarons, Rainbow sprinkles, and a handmade Minnie Mouse bow on top. It was definitely a magical Disney inspired creation. We also got the Nutella Dream. This one is a must try for Nutella lovers. It's a chocolate delight that even includes Kinder chocolates! Tastewise; I really liked the freshly baked chimney cakes from here. The chimney cakes are so soft and fluffy. My gelato ice cream melted pretty quickly but I still enjoyed the sweet, creamy soft serve. One has the option to get the chimney cake upside down in a cup and I have to say that is not a bad option because it helps with eating the ice cream and you won't have to worry about the oozy, dripping mess hehe that you will get a with a cone. The more expensive the sandwich, the more irritated I get when it instantly turns into soup upon holding it for a bite. I like Gjelina for other items on the menu. Service is good. Location is nice for Venice. But I'll never order a sandwich here again until they toast the bread or use thicker slices to maintain sandwich firmness.
