The "Hi House" is absolutely gorgeous, starting with the panoramic view of the sky and trees all around you when you wake up in the morning. You can't get much closer to being in the elements, except you have central heating and a comfy bed. There are decks all around the place for just sitting and taking in the scenery, and I bet if you brought that certain someone, you might not leave the place for days. This little house is made for two, with one central room made entirely of glass, a tiny kitchen and even tinier bathroom. There is a Jetson-esque tram that actually takes you from your car up the hill to the house, so you really do feel like you're in a tree house, far up from the world down below. Antlers and succulents and 1960s furniture are the backdrop. Between the hiking trails and the oysters, the ocean and the Scotland highland-ish surroundings, there's tons to do and explore. Just one rule... no rocks! You are in a glass house after all.

Imagine our surprise when we found an additional raised seating area out back behind the kennel! We could not have been more pleased with our stay. We will definitely be renting from Moore vacation. Rentals again!

We cooked a lot there, and the kitchen was beautifully kitted out. The cottage offers all the creature comforts, including a hottub with a view; about the only problem that we had while we were there was that we couldn't get the Internet access to function, and there was no cell phone coverage, so it was an off-the-net experience; this added to the serenity. The views across Tomales bay from three directions are magical (but be warned: this is probably not a good house for families with small children - there is not much barrier on the patio) Well worth the money, and highly recommended.

The views from the house are absolutely incredible, and our family loved greeting the seals perched below each morning. Highlights from our stay included soaks in the hot tub, countless family walks on the bluff trails, exploring the Hot Spot Loop/San Andreas Fault Interpretive Loop, breakfast at Trinks in Gualala, lunch at the Lodge, grilling dinner on the deck, watching tons of World Cup games in the spacious and comfortable living room, and magical visits to Pebble Beach, Ohlson Beach, And Black Point Beach. This year, our boys also attended a week of Sea Ranch Kids Camp at the Links. They enjoyed their time there, especially the bounce house, art projects, and kayaking trip on the Gualala River.
