I hope they succeed, and we were so lucky to encounter this man and, I assume, his daughters. Food was fantastic. My husband had a falafel wrap, and said it was delicious. Falafel was made well. I had their version of a steak sandwich. All of the veggies were grilled and seasoned perfectly. My steak was hot and juicy. The ingredients were fresh. I had Parmesan fries, my husband had chipotle fries. We got ginger beer and waters. All for 30 dollars. Worth every penny! While the photo I uploaded is a limited menu, they had other things available as well. They had fish sandwiches (grilled, never fried), chicken dishes, veggie sandwiches. You can also turn any sandwich into a wrap. And the fries? Crispy, hot, and the bag is huge. They give you a literal lunch bag of fries. Very kind, personable service. Great views of the water and right near the ferry and the train. I hope this truck succeeds to the fullest in its new location!

I was (thankfully) early for a train (normally I am running late and have to leap up the station stairs two at a time, sliding between the closing train car doors, slumping into a seat as a sweaty heaving mess... but let's get back to the review, shall we?). I had time to get something to eat and Q&N looked inviting. Spacious, clean, bright with a pretty deep menu, I ordered an egg white wrap * and a large black coffee (I'm a badass**). The coffee was good. Really good. Much better than the average fare. The wrap came out quickly, was wrapped really well -- you can tell these guys care. The wrap was tight with egg along every curve of the spiral. And it was very good, a blank canvas on which I could have put hot sauce, or salsa, but I ate it plain. It was filling and was a solid choice. Oh, and the prices here are very fair and, as far as my repast was concerned, a good value, especially compared to similar fare just a mile south. The store itself has a surprising number of products for purchase and is more than a convenience store. There is a very long hot food steam table, which also has fruit and vegetables (I only have it a cursory inspection). As I like to say, this place is a go! A little background: I was early for my train, and hungry... well, more peckish than hungry. See, I've been trying to lose weight and I walk every morning, and often I take another walk in the afternoon. Each walk is a minimum of four miles, often five or six. Knowing I had to catch a train this morning I only did four, which is a bit disappointing, but my girlfriend always tells me no matter how many miles, what counts is that I'm out there. Needing to get to the train on time, I had to skip breakfast after my walk and threw a snack bar into my bag in case I got hungry on the train. For the record, I don't like eating snack bars. I don't care how "healthy" they claim to be (and this was an Rx bar, which doesn't have an added sugar), they metabolize pretty quickly and can spike one's blood sugar. Which is to say I wish I had something else to eat. That's why I was so happy to find Q & N. Real quick, I forgot to tell you, when I was out walking (I walk along the river in Riverside Park) I saw a guy catch two sharks. Bull sharks. The ones that bite people. One was around 20 pounds, the other at least 30. I saw someone else catch four sharks in a 20 minute period. The sharks are out this summer, so if you ask me, those guys who kayak in the Hudson are just tempting fate. When I asked the fisherman said he doesn't eat the sharks, but the Chinese fisherman a few poles away does. "I give him the sharks, and he'll trade me a striper when he has one." The Chinese fisherman hadn't caught any stripers yet, but I was assured that they usually come out in the afternoon. *I got the egg white wrap because I'm trying to lose weight and watch my blood sugar. Sure, I should have probably gotten just some scrambled egg whites, but I was looking for a format I could take on the train, so getting a wrap might have been a net zero with regard to my dietary goals. **I normally drink my coffee black, and this coffee was good, but it was hot and I couldn't leisurely sip it, so I asked for some milk (they only had whole, or soy and almond and... I took whole) and they counter guy suggested some ice cubes as well. Like I said, they are friendly and helpful.

Read on if you desire genuine knowledge and only dine out with intention. First, and most importantly, shouts to Myles and the team working this day. The salmon in my Jerk Salmon Bowl and my friend's Atlantic Salmon Bowl was flaky, tender, juicy, and perfect. The rices (white with Jerk, black forbidden with Atlantic) confirmed and celebrated what Chef JJ Johnson wrote in his must-have book The History of Rice. This is to say there is no rice like FIELDTRIP rice: soft, sturdy, sweet, savory, herby, attaches to sauce and protein and vegetables when you want it to, remains on its own when you simply want to enjoy it by itself. The plantains and greens that accompany are ridonkulous icing on the salmon sundae. If you aren't a fan of Brussels sprouts, you likely have good reasons. And, you owe it to yourself to order Crispy Brussels. Besides being cooked so they are toothsome, textured, and still sweet, they're quartered or sixthed, which makes them easier to enjoy and perfect carriers for the crispy bits that top them. I love oxtail. To enjoy this rarely served beef element in a perfectly wrapped and fried egg roll added to my adoration. After bite one, I literally unwrapped my half to see how the shredded meat was coexisting. No saucing was necessary, though the Avocado Cilantro and New Jack Sticky BBQ (both of which were enjoyed by me via spoon) would have enhanced the roll most righteously. Lastly, when you dine in or take away from FIELDTRIP, you need Nana's Bread. It is what you might enjoy if a freshly made flour tortilla, naan, pita, and focaccia met, joined, and were put through a presser. I would dip and dredge Nana's Bread in everything. Your next meal needs to come from FIELDTRIP. Period.

Ordered three Al pastor tacos, NO CILANTRO, w/ extra pineapple. The lady taking my ordered repeated it back. The food was smelling amazingggggggggggg during the wait so I was def very happy when our food became ready. I got home & opened up my tacos & there was mad cilantro on my tacos & to add insult to injury, there was NO ONIONS! at first i wasn't gonna eat them but i picked off as much cilantro as I could & man I was mad them tacos was still good as helllllll omg. Def will be going back, just gotta make sure my order is correct before I leave this time.
