The entire process, from location scouting to outfit guidance, was so thorough that the shoot itself flowed naturally and resulted in some of the most beautiful photos we've ever taken. More recently, Pooja did a senior session for my son, and she made him feel completely at ease from the moment we arrived. She has a true talent for bringing out someone's authentic personality. I've done a lot of professional family photos and this is hands down the highest price per image (unedited, that would have cost more apparently) I've ever paid. $40 for one image is pretty darn high. On top of it, we were required to put $20, non refundable, down because the photographer was very worried we'd remove the watermark. Watermarking is standard, I get that. Usually its a clear colored name of the business and that's it. Lol, this image is SO watermarked we were all laughing. You can barely see what the picture is that you're buying. I'm talking every color of the rainbow ginormous letters that cover the entire photo. It's not physically possible to remove this watermark, why on earth did we need to pay a deposit for this? I'm not personally one to remove watermarks anyway, but it'd be nice to be able to see the image I'm paying for.

Where do I start?…read more Karen is such a hidden jewel of a photographer. Our pastor/officiant recommended her after previously working with her on another project. From the onset, she was extremely responsive and communicative in both texts and over the phone. Karen worked with us on our "shotgun wedding", which was a daunting three-part series: (1) an outdoor wedding on a point along San Francisco / San Pablo Bay (with fog and wind compounding fast-changing temperatures and lighting conditions); (2) an indoor lunch reception with lots of moving parts in a relatively packed space (with poor lighting and limited angles); (3) back outdoors again, but this time, on the range with gunfire surrounding her while she's handling the camera. We also didn't keep the pressure off before the wedding: my best friend and "Man of Honor" is a professional photographer as well... he purposely asked to NOT photograph the wedding as he wanted to participate and be part of it, so Karen had to deal with me as a process engineer (nearly everything was metered out, with timed intervals down to the minute) and Mark with his technical background performing assessments. Armed with a four-page laundry list of shots and a Pinterest account as our Image Board, we shared the shots that were "absolute musts" and planned a solid 5-6 hour day. Karen delivered! She captured every shot we asked for. She also captured the playfulness, the solemnity, the posed portraits, and the candid interactions between my husband, my best friends, and our guests. Though the wedding was on Friday last week, we received the photos this evening (a Monday, three days later) and just spent the last hour grinning and laughing at the wonderful photos. She provided all outfits, decors and settings for the photo session, so all you have to do is schedule the time. Now into 2026, I haven't heard from her since that message on November 15th, countless phone calls and text messages with zero response or explanation. Beyond disappointed and frustrated with this experience, unless I get reached out to with my photos, this review will stay posted.
