Jenos steaks is a great place to eat and a big part of the severna park community. I even worked there at one point and still eat there if that says anything. Even though I live in Nebraska now, I still get a steak there whenever I visit my parents (if you want a recommendation try the Asian persuasion). We found this place about a month ago when we were looking up great cheesesteaks in Maryland on Google. It's about a 35 to 40 minute drive from me but we decided to go check the place out anyways and see if it was worth it. Happy to report that it totally is! I got the Terp cheesesteak (without the blue cheese) and it is hands down the best cheesesteak I've ever had. The sandwich is absolutely stuffed with toppings and all the flavors complimented each other perfectly. I just went back a few days ago to get it again and thought it was just as good if not better than the last time. I normally don't use Yelp and other websites like it but I have enjoyed the food here so much I was inclined to create an account just to let Jeno's know how much I enjoy their food. The staff couldn't be friendlier and they make you feel like you're welcome the minute you walk in the door. You can't beat amazing food and fantastic customer service! Looking for something new and we love cheesesteaks so we gave Jeno's a shot. Was greeted by the cook when we first came in, then the young man running the register came a few seconds later. Both were super nice. Only issue I found is other then a little table out front there was no place to sit down. That problem was solved shortly after we ordered when the gentleman put an extra picnic table outside for us! Now the important part..... the steak and cheese was amazing! The steak was seasoned perfectly and the fries we got were some of the best I've had from a takeout joint. So disappointed... I've been coming here for about 2 years. When I first had them, they were amazing. The sub was perfection, the fries were amazing, and the service was great. I was surprised when I first had a bad experience. I ordered take out and when I got home I bit into the sub only to find a mouth full of sadness. The sub was bland and had barely any cheese. There was no flavor at all. For the money I spent, I expected my old Jenos. I hoped it was just a bad day but I had them 3 more times and it got more and more bland. The thing is - the subs are really good in flavor, but not good enough for the price!!! I waited to write this review because I really wanted to give them a second chance. I paid about $10 for a sub - a light-on everything but the bread sub - and the bread is not a fresh in-house baked roll, so extremely disappointing. I also ordered a large fries for my husband ($5) and a side of cheese and gravy ($1.25/each I think) - the fries were practically kid size for $5!!!!We barely touched the dipping sauces in comparison! Jeno's - please pay attention to these reviews- they all say the same thing!! We want to love you as a local business but I can say for sure I won't be back until I see a more positive trend on yelp. As I was sitting, watching the meat sizzle, two guys walk in, talking about how their buddies referred them here, talking out their steaks. Don't waste your time. The bad reviews are legit- over priced, bland food that is a joke of a proportion for what you pay for it. I've eaten cheesesteaks dozens and dozens of times in the city of brotherly love... This place isn't even a hint of the real deal. You can find a better, CHEAPER, cheesesteak at almost any local place here in MD. They don't even give chain places a run for their money. I won't name names but there's a place in Odenton that serves a CS that the steak alone weighs more than the entire sandwich I got from this place AND it costs the same and comes with fries. This is the second time I have had a Jeno Cheesesteak. The first time I thought it was great and the fries were also amazing. I just had one for lunch today. It was really good and the steak was cooked fresh right in front of me. It was a cater truck so I did have to wait a little bit to get mine (understandable since they had alot of costumers already in front of me). When I got it, I was very pleased with the taste and how it turned out. The only problem was that it was not too filling. It was on the small size and I was hungry about two-three hours later. Good for a quick lunch but I recommend buying some sides if you want to stay full until dinner read more

I go to Jeno's everyday for lunch when I'm working near by. I think that the service is friendly and fast. As for the price, the lunch special is $10.55 for a big over stuffed sub, cup overflowing with fries and a soda. For those saying the place is over priced, how are you going to feel when places who give out fast food are paying their employees $15.00 hr. to flip a burger, throw it in a bag upside down then throw the bag of fries on top and charge you more than $10.00? This place is friendly, has awesome food, heavy portions and I can get in and out WAY faster than any chain. read more

Jeno's used to be the best thing since sliced bread. Ever since ownership was transferred it has seemed like the subs have gone down hill. The meat is always dry. There's never enough meat and if you want anything on the sub it will run you over $10. Sad what has happened to this once amazing sub shop. read more

Worst chicken cheese steak ever! The chicken had no flavor and was extremely tough. I will never eat here again! They are also unsanitary. I love it. The owner is the primary chef, and he's super nice. He brings his food truck to my work location at least once a month and I always make sure to go. The cheesesteaks taste great, and have wonderful flavor. I go with melted cheese and peppers for my cheesesteak, but other friends get the "8th Wonder", a cheesesteak that has buffalo sauce and blue cheese, and say it tastes great as well. The food is good, but the customer service is nonexistent, if the quiet son/owner is running the place. I ordered a cheesesteak with raw onions, mayo, lettuce and American cheese and a cheesesteak with fries, cheddar sauce and old bay. The four orders that order after me were completed prior to my order. When I asked what was going on as I was now there for at least half hour and the ONLY customer remaining, I got a sheepish sorry and NOTHING else! No discount, no refund, no additional food. In addition they had to make the last sub I was waiting on twice because a new employee (2nd day on job) could cut the sub and destroyed it in the process. Is it really the right time to be training a new employee on an order that a customer is already disappointed on? I live in Owings Mills and usually when I am in Annapolis I stop here because the cheesesteaks are good. However, the last 2 times the service has been HORRIBLE! I think the outgoing son and the father need to have a training on customer service with the introvert quiet son/owner since he doesn't get it at all. I had a chance to try Jeno's Steaks when my employer arranged for some food trucks to visit our campus. They aren't a true food truck, but they have a portable set-up and they even brought a few picnic tables with them. They offer a variety of cheese steaks and chicken, and I think their open air grill really helps them out in selling their product. I opted for an 8th Wonder Cheese Steak, made with steak, bacon, onions, provolone, and a couple sauces. It came on a soft roll which I found perfect for a cheesesteak, as it wasn't too hard as to crumble everywhere and it was soft enough to soak up the juice without falling apart. The steak was tender and tasty and bacon makes everything better. However, I found the bleu cheese sauce to be fairly mild and I did not notice the buffalo sauce at all. It was tasty enough regardless, and I could go so far as to say it was great, but maybe not a Wonder. The crew is incredibly friendly and they make sure to acknowledge everyone waiting in line, so you really have to appreciate their acumen and professionalism. read more
