A tasty passion orange drink from the store nearby that sells drinks. They don't actually sell drinks at Jen's Thai Food.

I honestly was not expecting this to be as good as it was. There was only one other table of people there who were finishing up. Most of the other little shops around were closed, and there was no more coconut candy. I'm glad we decided to stay and eat here anyway. They don't sell drinks here, so you actually have to walk a couple of stands down to a little coffee shop/market and get something. They had a lot of interesting local drinks. I got some Aloha Maid Natural Passion Orange Juice that said it was from Hawaii and didn't have corn syrup in it. It was quite tasty. It took about ten minutes for our food to come out. You eat outside on picnic tables. It's a covered area that's nice and shady. My husband and I both got the special for the day which was a red curry with fresh fish. It was a little spicy and had plenty of veggies in it. The curry sauce was very flavorful, and way better than most I get on the east coast. The portion was a good size too. I would stop here again on the road to Hana. I'd like to try some of the other dishes here, and maybe next time I'll be lucky and there will be coconut candy next door.

Stopped by for some Thai food on the way back from road to Hana. This definitely hit the home run after an entire day of winding up and down roads. The chow fun was good but not spectacular. It's one of those I'm hungry and this really is the only food that will hold us until the end of the road. Worth it for a random Thai spot on the mountain top! Hallelujah!

    My Thai! Yum!

This is such a great stop on the way to (or from) Hana. We actually stopped here on the way back and got the spicy shrimp and basil. The food was fresh and tasty- she makes it right there!

Shockingly good Thai food! We had the shrimp curry and green curry with pork. Both excellent. Tasted just like the food I had in Bangkok last year!

Great location right before Hana Town.

The curry was amazing! Not too overkill on the spice, and perfectly balanced by the coconut milk and veggies to compliment the dish. Her trailer was very nice and clean as well

Red curry with chicken, steamed rice, and vegetables. Two plates for $26.

Awesome Thai place on the road to Hana. I had mahi mahi and it was definitely the right choice. Super fresh and quite tasty.

Be sure to watch for the sign as you approach - we drove by the first time and came back to make it into the parking lot. The person taking orders was helpful and warned us right away that they were out of curry. The person who makes it measures from her heart, won't share her recipe, and was out shopping. We shared the fried rice with chicken and some spring rolls. It was all so delicious, and fun to sit on the deck and watch the road and town while relaxing after the crazy road. My real praise starts a couple hours later. As we made it to our next stop, I remember that I had never taken my bag off the back of the chair back at the restaurant! I called as soon as we had a phone signal again, and the gentleman who answered the phone assured me right away that he'd seen it and was keeping it safe. I told him we'd be back for it the next day, and he told me what time he'd be there. Luckily for me, hubs drove back alone the next day (he loves the road, and it's more fun for him without me panicking from the passenger seat). The man at the restaurant said he'd tried to get our attention as we left, and again when we drove by after visiting the shore! I was so grateful to have my stuff back, and be able to board our plane the next day with my id. P.S. - the food and service was 5 stars even if they hadn't helped with my mix up later!

Well no bad guys ever showed up, and the hucksterism was pretty low key. The excitement was not to be had either but it was obvious that these trucks are feeding a lot of people. If they were only able to lower their prices even a little they could be feeding even more but I guess their overhead is probably pretty high even for a parked truck. Anyway I was expecting a bit lower price scale, but it is what it is. So .. For fifteen bucks plus tax and tips I got the seared salmon. The fish was nicely cooked, I enjoyed it. The vegetables were pretty meh but did help bring more of the sauce to the palate. Yes, the sauce was good, right on the verge of too much soy, but they did a good job keeping it balanced. The salmon portion size was small, but not insultingly tiny. Could have been a bit larger for the $15, the value is not there only if you compare to what you make at home, otherwise it's probably disappointedly normal. When you get your six inch diameter bowl you will see what I mean. The heap of rice made for good entertainment feeding the chickens. You're discouraged from feeding them so I just sat the bowl down behind the coffee guys trailer and watched them pig out. It is not exactly "Fast" food here, they are actually cooking the meal while you wait. I had my order in 12 minutes though, exactly how long she said it would take.

We got there about 1.5 hours before they closed and once we arrived, it took a while for someone to come out from the back. We then realized they were getting many to-go pick up orders back to back so it seemed like business was booming for them. Eventually, our server did hand us the menus with the specials for the day. It's a very small restaurant with very limited seating indoors but we were the only patrons so it didn't feel crammed. There's $5 parking directly in front or you can park a bit farther away for some free spots. For starters we split the spring rolls, pretty good nothing extraordinary. I got the Tom Yum soup with chicken and my partner got the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Honestly, we could've gotten away with splitting the second meal because the serving was way bigger than we expected. Nonetheless, the soup was delicious and had so many different vegetables in it that I lost track. What I enjoyed most about the fried rice was it contained browned cashews and I think that really sold it for me. I like crunchy textures like nuts and i feel that it balanced out the usual softness of the shrimp. It seems like a lot of people don't dine in, rather they just come to pick up their food and head out. Either way, I'd recommend trying it out if you like Thai Food. They had many specials going on and a good variety to choose from.
