This might be the best Korean food I've ever had. Every dish had so much flavor and creativity. The hwe was my favorite way of cold fish and the kimchi with it was incredible. 9.5/10. The salmon tartare had a great texture and tasted good. 8/10. The scallop was cooked perfectly with a crispy top and great sauce. 9/10. The kkanpungi octopus was insane. So flavorful and crispy, almost like honey hot Korean fried chicken. I've never liked octopus this much. 9.8/10. The jjajangmyeon was also great with the bacon, potatoes, and sauce combo. 8/10. The wagyu was really unique too. I loved that it didn't taste like a typical American steak. 9/10. For desserts, the citrus dish was super refreshing. 8/10. The sujeonggwa tasted like apple pie and had really interesting textures. 9/10. The roasted barley cocktail might actually be one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Caramely, citrusy, and you couldn't taste the alcohol at all. 9.8/10. Service was great. Friendly, attentive, and not overbearing. They checked in at the perfect times. The ambiance was dim, elegant, and perfect for a nice dinner. 9/10 vibes.

Love the service and ambiance of jeong. The menu is a tasting style menu, so many smaller dishes. Every dish was such a fun play on more traditional dishes that we've had before, and the staff were very knowledgeable on what each dish was. Loved the plating on all of them and you could tell a lot of thought went into every plate. jeong is for sure a special occasions kind of dining experience and would recommend if you're looking for a high end date spot.

Jeong is an intimate tasting restaurant serving eight dishes. Every course was explained very thoroughly, although half the time we didn't know the ingredients. Hwe - The first dish was excellent; it was light and had many flavors and textures. Tartare - also amazing but a bit simpler. The crispy pieces added a nice crunch and the white drops were creamy and delicious. Scallop - savory with a rich sauce. The spinach and roe was a nice add-on but I felt like it was missing something. Kkanpungi - this one was very interesting and tasted like a sweet and sour dish. I would've never guessed it was octopus, but it really worked. Jjajangmyeon - this was the only course I really wasn't fond of as the flavors seemed a bit flat. The meal was cooked nicely, though. Australian Wagyu - delicious, tender, and rich. An all-around excellent plate. Citrus - this first dessert course was amazing. Multi-layered with a variety of flavors. The shaved ice had a citrus flavor incorporated in it which I thought was fun. Sujeongghwa - a bit heavier dessert to finish off the night. The ice cream was delicious and paired well with what reminded me of peach cobbler and rice pudding underneath. Overall, a great tasting experience and definitely recommend.

If the chef could strike a better balance between Korean flavors and the natural taste of the ingredients, I'd be more than happy to recommend this place to my friends.

We had a solid experience at Jeong. The interior is clean and minimalist. Reservations were easy to make a week in advance. It's great to have fine dining options that are not in the usual American-Italian-French spectrum. The menu is tasting menu style, and it is paced well. I thought they did a great job elevating traditional Korean flavors, and every dish was a recognizable food. Our favorites were definitely the octopus and desert. We didn't go with the pairing, but opted instead for the makgeolli. The drinks menu is diverse and it was great to order traditional Korean liqueurs as well to accompany the dinner. Unlike some fine dining experiences I've had, Jeong serves genuinely tasty food that makes for a great meal. Docking a star because the wagyu, which felt like it should have been the star course, wasn't really up to standard for us. We may have just received a bad batch, but the wagyu was poorly dry aged as to be overpoweringly funky. Instead of being tender, it was tough, dry, intense almost like beef jerky and completely defeated the point of using wagyu. That was disappointing and none of us in our party opted to finish this dish or take home. In general, I've wanted to try jeong and so happy I did. That being said, not sure I would come back.

Ambiance - modern and intimate Service - exceptional, staff explained each dish and all the dishes came in a timely manner/doesn't feel rushed Food - scallop was cooked to perfection, loveeeeee that they made a sorbet/ice cream with jasmine tea, least favorite was the Australian Wagyu (slightly too "beefy" to my liking)

I've wanted to go to Jeong for a while and finally had a chance to go for my birthday! Overall, the service was great but the food wasn't as good as I was hoping. There were some standout dishes but some fell short of expectations. All of the staff were super nice and we were greeted warmly. I put birthday on my reservation and they immediately wished me a happy birthday upon entering which was super nice. At the end, they even gave me a cupcake made by one of the owners which was so sweet and made my day! For the food, my favorite was definitely the salmon tartare. It was super delicious and the yuja sauce was a great complement. The two desserts were probably my next favorites. The other dishes were all decent, but I thought the wagyu and the scallop were a bit too rich especially when paired with the sauces. Both wagyu and scallop are already pretty fatty/buttery so I think a lighter sauce would've been better. My least favorite was definitely the eomuk - I normally love fish cake but I thought the flavor and texture of the fish cake itself wasn't really good. I did like the sauce it came with though! I'm glad I got to try it once, but I probably won't come back for a while given the price point!

Amazing experience here! The space itself was chic but inviting. The ambiance was warm and sophisticated, ideal for a relaxed yet elevated evening. Our service was exceptional--friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff. The food was incredible. Each dish was creative and unique, with flavors that were bold yet perfectly balanced. The presentation was artful, making every plate a visual delight. Just as important, the pacing of the meal was spot on--each course arrived with perfect timing, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment without feeling rushed or left waiting. We left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied--neither overstuffed nor still hungry. Every element of the evening felt intentional and thoughtful, and it's clear that great care went into crafting not only the menu but the entire dining experience. Definitely worth every penny!

Oh wow is this place special. You know the moment you step in and are greeted with warm energy and smiles. The tasting menu is perfectly portioned and reasonably priced. My favorite dish was the scallop im still dreaming of it but everything was truly amazing. The vibe is upscale without being too stuffy and very inviting. Can't wait to go back!

Wow, this may be favorite restaurant right now. It's a cute, cozy space. Staff were incredible. Attentive and friendly. And the food... wow, wow. There are 8 total courses with the last two being desserts. I will say each course was amazing and frankly a pretty good portion. The standouts were the wagyu, scallop and the final dessert. For $150, it's a steal. I'm surprised they don't have a Michelin star, but I'm sure it's coming.

We had an incredible experience here. Service was friendly and not at all pretentious. We enjoyed every item on the tasting menu. The standouts were the scallop, tartare, and especially the boricha dessert. Will be telling all of our friends!

Then I saw the KBBQ menu and all bets were off. I immediately pivoted and ordered the chef's tasting set, the Diweji, featuring pork jowl, pork collar, and pork belly, complete with an assortment of banchan. Zero regrets. And here's the part that should tell you everything you need to know: I am a certified radish hater. I avoid it whenever possible. Yet somehow, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the radish banchan and asking for more. Even the soup - which also featured radish - was absolutely delicious. If Perilla can convert someone who actively dislikes radish into a fan for one meal, that's saying something. The soju was exactly what I wanted with Korean barbecue: crisp, clean, and refreshing. I appreciate that it was neutral rather than overly sweet. The flavored, sweeter versions aren't really my thing unless the food is setting my mouth on fire. Speaking of spice, the wings were good: juicy, well-executed, and satisfying but I kept wishing they packed a little more heat. They weren't spicy at all, and a bigger kick would have taken them from very good to unforgettable. As for the meats, the pork jowl was gloriously rich and fatty, exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The pork collar ended up being my favorite: flavorful, tender, and with just the right balance of meat and fat. The pork belly was comforting and familiar - the classic KBBQ staple done well, with beautifully rendered edges and that indulgent quality that makes it a crowd-pleaser for a reason. The set also came with potatoes that were unexpectedly delicious. My only complaint? It was far too much food for one person. The service deserves its own mention. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The entire meal was delivered with efficiency and a smile, making a solo diner feel completely comfortable lingering and enjoying the experience. What I thought would be a quick happy hour stop turned into one of my favorite meals.

We ordered a seafood soup, seafood pancake, and a salmon crunch roll. We quickly realized that this was an atypical Korean restaurant experience as we did not receive banchan and there were not many traditional options on the menu. I think that should've been our cue to go, but we stayed and were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask multiple times when it was coming, and when the food finally came out, it was underseasoned and the texture was very off. The seafood pancake tasted deep fried and had chunks of imitation crab. It had the texture of an unrisen focaccia. The soup was tasteless, and the salmon roll was drenched in mayo and eel sauce. They also gave us a "special" hot sauce that tasted like just a mix of sriracha and Tabasco. Small highlights: the ambiance was nice; it seemed clean. Waiter was nice enough. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was quite a shocking meal.

Perilla is a tastefully decorated restaurant, both loungey and rich, but still makes you feel like the joint is all for you. You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. We arrived about 20 minutes before opening, expecting a wait, which is totally normal for a popular pop-up. What wasn't normal was that once they opened, they started pulling people out of the line if they wanted full service and planned to eat inside. This created a confusing system where people who arrived much later than us were able to order, eat, and leave before we had even placed our order. I understand that pop-ups can be busy, but the line moved painfully slowly. We ended up waiting about an hour and a half, which felt excessive, especially given how the line was being managed. There were also some smaller issues that added to the frustration. The menu advertised everything bagels, but that's not what we received. The sandwich was around $20, which is pretty steep for a breakfast sandwich. When we ordered, we specifically asked if the sandwich came cut in half and were told, "Yes, it would be way too messy if they weren't pre-cut." Then the sandwich arrived uncut. As for the food itself, it was fine. Not bad, but definitely not memorable enough to justify the long wait, confusing organization, and price point. Overall, the sandwich was okay, but the experience was frustrating and ultimately not worth the time we spent waiting.

I was also in love with the tapioca fritters with pepper jelly. The texture of the tapioca fritter was so unique and fun, and the pepper jelly was seriously out of this world. Bottle that stuff up and sell it! Whoever said the ttebokki pad Thai didn't taste like pad thai was wrong - it does and was a satisfying dish that I'd order again! I love twists on a classic and it was so smart to use rice cakes instead of the traditional noodles. The cocktails all sounded amazing, especially having names like pineapple upside down cake and black sesame. They got me intrigued for sure. Both cocktails were well balanced and enjoyable. Can't wait to return to try more from the menu (like that burger!)
