Jeppy's Review I am reviewing Jeppy's Gourmet Pizza Shop on White Horse Avenue in Hamilton Township, NJ. The nice Jeppy's delivery person brought my meal quickly on a crisp Wednesday night. It only took about half an hour after we called. Jeppy's has a big menu, and are known for their Italian hotdogs and their pizzas, I picked the honey barbeque wings with ranch dressing on the side. This meal is commonly served with bleu cheese dressing, but I have an allergy. Jeppy's gladly made the substitution without any problem or extra charge. I added a side of steak fries. My honey barbeque wings came in a styrofoam container with a plastic cup for the ranch and my fries were in a paper bag. The first thing I noticed was the smell of the barbeque sauce, the aroma was appetizing. The sauce made the wings messy to pick up and I wish Jeppy's included wet wipes, or napkins with my order. The taste of barbeque sauce hits first with a small hint of the honey flavor. The flavor isn't too salty and is perfectly sweet. The chicken is the right kind of chewy. The ranch dressing tastes the same as the ranch you get most places, but compliments the wings. The fries are soft rather than crunchy but are not mushy. The seasoning on the steak fries is nice and salty and spread well over all the fries. While I didn't have it in this order, do also recommend Jeppy's pizza, which I have enjoyed on other occasions. In the middle of a quiet northern New Jersey neighborhood is a small pizzeria that's making big noise in the New Jersey food scene. The outside, a simple Mom and Pop storefront with advertisements of their many many choices (too many in my opinion). The staff are friendly, charming (in their own New Jersey way) and were so helpful in me making a choice. So I went for their staple: the Italian dog. It's a foot long all beef hotdog covered in peppers, onions and......potatoes??? Nothing spectacular... it was just okay.... I also got a small order of Buffalo wings. If you have never heard of an Italian hot dog, odds are you are not alone. This is definitely a Jersey thing and more specifically, a North Jersey thing. But it seems that the Chambersburg section of Trenton, New Jersey has its own take on an Italian hot dog that has created its own fan base in and around New Jersey's state capitol. Jeppy's Puzzeria got its start in the Chambersburg neighborhood, but this outpost lies in the Trenton suburbs. An Italian hot dog is one of those culinary greats that was born and thrived in New Jersey, but never really expanded beyond the Garden State, if you are unfamiliar with an Italian hot dog, think two hit dogs topped with fried potatoes, peppers and onions. Truly a wonderful creation, one worthy of the endearment of a state and the people who call Jersey home. Jeppy's does a fine rendition of the Italian hot dog and one that has created its support base for those in the 609 area code. I would definitely recommend trying Jeppy's Italian hot dogs. Since Jeppy's is by definition and its business name a pizzeria, I had to give their pizza a try. Jeppy's has a good pizza. The pizza has a good blend of dough, sauce and cheese and the spices only enhance the total product. It has the appropriate amount of grease to make it a true Jersey pizza and one that makes you realize why Jersey has the best pizza around (sorry New York). Finally, they make a good cheesesteak. Not too surprising since they are close to Philadelphia, the mecca for cheesesteaks. All in all, I have to applaud this establishment and I would definitely recommend a visit here. Had a Lg Sausage pizza the other night. It was above average. I like a thin crisp crust and either the cheese or sauce has to stand out for me to rate above average. Jeppy had the think crust that crisp but not burnt and I thought the sauce set this pizza above average. I thought the prices we reasonable. Parking can be an issue but I was lucky and had a spot on the corner. Bottom line is go ahead try the pizza for yourself it won't be a waste of money. read more

As others have noted, Jeppy's is more of a take out than sit down resteraunt. It is tiny with only two tables. If you visit you can watch your pizza being made right behind the cash register. We have been buying their tomato pies delivered for years. They arrive hot with their excellent thin crust still crispy. Our favorite is topped with an excellent Italian sausage and onions. We ask for extra sauce, which is fresh and delicious. A true Jersey tomato pie (little or no cheese). We also stop by occasionally and pick up a slice or two for lunch to reheat at home. Jeppy's is small but mighty. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We like a chicken, broccoli and garlic alfredo pizza. Not on the menu but they make just the way I ask for it. As the nearest pizza joint to my office, I really have not taken advantage of its prime location. After trying Jeppy's Brooklyn Pie that oversight will soon be corrected. Today I dealt with the man himself. Affable to the nines. He recommended slices of the 'Brooklyn' sitting in display. Agreeing, he hand selected the best two available and put them in the oven to reheat. The mozza was homemade, and tasted it. Mildly salty and soft. The crust, airy and cracker firm and crisp. Really superior work. This shop is in the first floor of a converted residence with apartment above. The restroom is back in the kitchen, requiring an escort. The WC itself is unusual, in that it shows its previous adaption for family living with full shower. Given the surprising quality of this pizza, it is definitely deserving of an upgrade to 4 Stars. I ordered the Italian Salad with Grilled Chicken- The tomato was cut in chunks and the very small torn pieces of mozzarella were scant at best- the chicken wasn't real but was processed manufactured meat that had an odd texture, taste and smell- when asked I was told that this is the chicken used on all salads sandwiches and pizzas.... Ok its Monday night chilling at home and went out to my go to pizza joint only to find its closed on Monday. I am craving a cheese steak and ended up going down the street to a little corner joint jeppy's. I order two Philly cheese steaks at $8.95 a piece because my human fat body told me to. The establishment is very small with only two tables so its mostly take out. I got my artery bloggers and went home. Now are they Philly cheese steaks? No however the steaks were very good and the bread was fresh. Of course my arteries needed more clogging so I ordered them with mayo and ketchup. All in all I enjoyed them and will order them again. My son and I are attempting to try all of the local pizza joints in Hamilton and Trenton this year, and we have encountered some great ones. Jeppy's is at the top of the list, for sure, but since we've only visited once, I'm holding back a star until we have a chance to sample more menu items. The good news, kind of, is that my incredibly fussy eater has now expanded his approved food items to include pepperoni. Not exactly healthy, but flavorful, and perhaps a gateway to other yummy foods. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, a small calzone, along with a side of pizza fries. The pizza fries were the weak link of the glorious meal, to be sure, but I suspect if we had eaten them in the restaurant, they'd be just fine. They were a tad mushy by the time we got them home, though the sides of the dish, uncovered by sauce and cheese, revealed a nice crunch. And, the sauce and cheese were tasty. Fries do not travel well, especially the saucy ones, so I blame myself for this disappointment. The pizza, however, was excellent. My budding connoisseur​ declared Jeppy's to serve the best cheese in all the land, and wants to go back for his birthday meal later this month. The calzone hit the spot. The menu is expansive: all manner of standard Italian fare, plus a large assortment of salads and sides. I was happy to see cannoli on the menu -- I spoke with the owner's son who said they are available all the time. I may order some next time, since we'll be back soon for a birthday dinner. My parents live close to this location and eat here all the time. I've been meaning to write a review because we go here whenever we visit. Today I dropped my kids off to stay with my parents and we got Jeppy's for lunch. I ordered a tomato pie, 2 cheesesteaks, Italian hotdogs and cheese fries. Growing up in Chambersburg nothing brings me back to my childhood like this place. The food is always on point. Just got a brooklyn pie from here, brought it home and enjoyed the flavor. Great crust, perfect amount of crushed tomatoes and mozzarella. Only 2 tables and a few seats at the counter. Luckily I live close enough to pick it up and get home while it is still hot. Will go back and try another type of pie, or maybe even sandwiches or dinners...Great food....it's small inside, but the pie was awesome. I have ordered pizza and it was alright. We just ordered dinners and sandwiches and that was sub par. Actually, my husband hated his veal parm sandwich and threw out after a couple of bites.
