For the longest time we drove by this place and always wondered how Italian Ice and ice cream could go together. A friend brought me here for a treat, and boy how I wish we had come before! Yummy, yummy, yummy. I had the salted caramel with the swirl ice cream. It is so good. They will give you a sample of any flavor you would like, which is nice to be able to figure out what might be your favorite. My daughter got the peppermint special and you could smell the fresh peppermint and she loved it. The service is great. They are very friendly, patient with questions, and are quick with the service. Italian ice is so refreshing and here there are lots if flavor options. There are only two locations in this area, one in Mandarin and the other on the South end if Orange Park. We have visited both on multiple occasions and always happy with the service and yum yum treats!! Never thought of ice cream and flavored ice? I visited Jeremiah's Italian Ice a couple of weeks ago because my sister had a coupon. She had told me that they were very good so we went out to give it a try. I was very skeptical as I didn't see how ice cream and Italian ice would go together but it went together very well. You cant try a sample of any flavor you would like which is great. I am a coffee lover so I got the Caffe Latte Gelati. It was very good. This is definitely a place that I will go back and visit many, many times in the future. read more

Need something refreshing on a beautiful sunny day?! This is thee best place for Italian ice. Flavors are so flavorful, the ice is nice and smooth, it's not overly sweet. I love coming here and trying a different flavor every time. Today I had the peach and it was so good. I've tried lemon basil which is amazing! Mango is really good. Bahama breeze is good too. But my all time favorite so far is the green apple! Looking forward to my next visit to try strawberry lemon! They have a drive thru and an outdoor seating area. The workers are really nice. I left a review about a month ago of a bad experience that I had. I appreciate the owner responding to me. I did decide to give them a try again today when I was in town from Gainesville. The employees were pleasant today and didn't give me any hassle about trying two samples. I told them that I don't need very much in the soufflé cup, but they filled it to the top anyway. (They were generous). I was glad to try the sample at the window this time instead of in the line. The gelato was delicious. Today I didn't mind leaving a tip for good service. This is the closest thing to "water ice" I have found down here. Anyone from up north knows what that is or means. I got a soft serve cone with rainbow sprinkles and my son got Italian ice and both were really great. Prices were fair, the service was excellent and there was not much of a wait. I prefer soft serve over hand scooped ice cream and it's not always easy to find good soft serve so I am happy that we just moved nearby this location. It's the simple things in life :) the girl at the window was great explaining everything since she asked if I had been there ever. Will be back, probably a little too often. read more

My dessert-island (#SeeWhatIDidThere?), all-time, go-to favorite is the cookie butter gelati with vanilla soft serve. The food is great the staff is great i do have one complaint though. Ever since roughly after christmas break happened they had to put up signs saying that we couldn't go in there unless we were buying something. Just recently they put up a sign saying that we (high schoolers) couldn't go in and sit UNLESS we have a parent and or guardian. Most hs won't have an adult because a lot of us went right after school. Ever since they put the signs out they have lost so much business and will lose me very shortly. You also aren't allowed to use the restroom unless an adult is with you. I highly doubt that hs are going have parents go with them especially right after school. read more

If you are looking for a cold ice treat then this is the place. Their customer service was excellent. They have 2 drive thrus & a walk up with outside tables. There's a wide variety of flavors. A must for gelati. Favorites are Bahama freeze, peanut butter & chocolate gelati, and depending on how strong the basil is in the batch- lemon basil. Lesson learned on lemon basil - always sample it before ordering, usually it is good, but one time the basil was extra strong and it was gross. read more

By far my favorite location because of the drive through. I also go to the one on San Josè but I prefer this particular location because at the San Josè location you have to get out your car (if you couldn't tell already, I'm pretty lazy). Me and my Dad always get Jeremiahs on Saturday's after a day out and it's always so good. I've never had a bad experience at this location or any other location. If you have not tried Jeremiahs yet you are 100% missing out on the best ice cream in Duval. The best thing to get is their Italian ice and ice cream. Yes, I know how weird it might sound but trust me on this, it's bomb. I always get the cookies and cream plus the vanilla ice cream and it never fails me :) read more

The next time, both husband and son ordered the same thing and I switched it up to try the meatloaf stacker, wow! Once again, the meal was delicious and paired it with the corn casserole. I can't rave about this place enough. We ended the meal with homemade strawberry cake, another winner!! The service is wonderful, everyone is attentive and wants to make sure you're taken care of. Waters refilled, which is a rarity these days and food was served prompt. Although small, Birdies is mighty with flavor, service and cute decor! From the cuckoo clocks on the wall to the bird theme throughout, it's definitely welcoming and cozy and not that sterile vibe you get from some establishments. We can't wait to go back and now look forward to our weekly ritual, dinner at Birdies!

Showed up at 10:22pm with my girlfriend to this location. We knew we were close to the 11pm closing time but figured we had some time to spare. People were out in the parking lot enjoying their treats. Walking up to the window we could see multiple people running around cleaning things. Three people made eye contact with us before one girl had a conversation with her peers behind the closed window before opening it and saying blankly that, "We're closed, sorry we're closed." She then shut the window without further explanation or helping us in anyway. We are from out of state and this was WELL out of the way for us to travel for one last sweet treat while we are visiting friends in Jacksonville. Will never be making that choice twice I can promise you that when we find ourselves in this area again. Disappointment cannot sum up the annoyance that we both felt with such a short and candid explanation from whoever decided to take a break from their cleaning tasks to chat with us. The sign clearly stated open daily 11am-11pm. They had gone so far out of their way as to park a car in the drive through to prevent anyone from disturbing them from getting out early. Simply change your sign and online pages to reflect this because what may not seem like a big deal for someone local this can be a huge hassle for people not from around here and find themselves committing to a decent travel only to be completely let down. Will not be recommending this company or specific location to anyone. Huge let down. read more
