This is heading out to pull crab pots

My family and friends went crabbing with Jeremy and his wife they are so fun and professional and just plan cool people. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. We literally got in the boat they had everything ready and off we went. Every pot we pulled in had several nice crab in it (nice keepers) Jeremy's obviously very skilled at operating the boat and his wife is right there to help if you need anything. (We needed help keeping track of how many crab we had after every pot we pulled because we were laughing and talking so much LOL) They are an awesome team.

Took my finance fishing with Jeremy. She got seriously hurt crossing the Umpqua bar. When we told Jeremy her arm could be broken, Jeremy said nothing. Offered no first aid or any help. Yelled at her when she hooked a fish because she couldn't get the pole out of holder because of her injury. I told him I was taking her to emergency care after we got in, again he said nothing. I texted him after 3 hours at ER. "She has a major sprain. She's in a arm/hand brace for support." Jeremy's response "Least it's not broke and she is ok. Not always a smooth ride when ur on the water Least everyone is safe and got there fish" (his exact words) Look at the picture. Is she ok? Still never apologized or offered to cover our medical expenses. Needless to say I'm very upset at this point. I had to drive home. When I got home I sent him a picture of arm and medical bill from ER. He replied his wife would file a claim tomorrow and he needed her name/phone number. No claim was made. He did finally cover her deductible and offered her free fishing trips. She took money for deductible but refused trips. She told me she would never go with him again because he is unsafe. She had to see the doctor again a few times and pay the deductible because no claim was filed. Her arm was black and blue for a very long time. We filed a complaint with the Oregon Marine Board. Will never fish with him again.

Excellent day with Jeremy. Caught crab and he showed us where to get them cleaned and cooked. This was perfect for what we wanted. Thank you

This is a no-brainer whale watching experience. Our family of four took a 90 minute, noontime Depoe…read moreBay tour with Captain Gary. No line for the boat. Got there early and left early. Gary is not the most chatty fellow, but he's super nice, knowledgeable, and skilled. The other captains clearly respect him. Check his credentials and I can't imagine you'll find a more qualified captain. Taking one of the smaller boats was clearly an advantage. Only one other couple who sat up front, so it was a private family experience. Depoe Bay is small, so you don't travel far for this tour, but the swells are real and this boat was nimble. We saw larger crowded boats listing dramatically. Gary seemed to know where the whales were going. We basically followed a mom and her calf the last thirty minutes. First thing we saw was spray then a dorsal fin and fluke. After that, mom and calf sprays, fins, and the baby head popping up to check us out. We traveled the Oregon coast for a week in late July and Whale's Tail was a top experience.

Silly me worrying that we wouldn't see any grey whales. We actually heard them before turning in…read moreawe to see these giants swimming amongst us. Our guide Gary got everyone all safetied up and vested. The boat was a kickass Zodiac that was nimble and stable as we passed sunbathing seals on our way out of narrow Depoe Bay harbor and into the Pacific. We motored just a short bit before we were trolling and watching whales feeding in the kelp beds. It was an amazing experience. I could be greedy and wish for a full breach. But, really everything after you see that first whale is all gravy. Sometimes life just comes up all Milhouse for you. Whales all day, tip your Captain

First, they did an excellent job caring for our safety, and the set up everyday was beyond what we do at home. We got to a lunch spot and they'd have chairs set up, a full and plentiful spread with choices for gluten free or even just the more picky eaters. Dinners were delicious and they even had dessert every night. They were clean when preparing food, washing their hands often. Of and the first day, they noticed that we were early risers and offered to have coffee earlier if we wanted. The equipment was good, I can't compare to anything since this was my first rafting experience but there were no issues along the way. The duckies were a kick and Drew was careful to give detailed explanations on maneuvering the rapids (although I didn't follow them well, I was still okay). They also brought a ton of water and kept it cool, we could add Gatorade as we wished. 100% A+

Booking the trip was relatively straightforward, but Morrisons highly encouraged us to do trip insurance because they don't offer refunds, which should've been the first red flag. Before I go too far, I do want to give a huge shout out to our guides Drew, Adam, and Johnny. They were amazing, and if I were rating just them, this review would be 5++ stars. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cared about us and our hike. The rest of the Morrison's staff...not so much. There was an active wildfire in the area before we started the hike. We talked to Morrison's several times in the days leading up to the trip (before we flew out) and even asked about rebooking the trip for a different time, when the forest in the area wasn't on fire. We were assured that even though they were planning a few modifications to our itinerary (i.e. at least one day of rafting instead of hiking), they were confident that it would be a wonderful trip. Fast forward to the end of day 2 of our trip...and they had to cancel the rest of the 4-day hike due to safety concerns and, ultimately, a mandatory evacuation. To be clear, I'm not upset that we were pulled out of the woods, as that was an obvious safety decision. I'm mad because we specifically asked about rebooking for different dates and were told no. Morrison's got us back to their main lodge the following morning, at which point they considered themselves done with us. There was no refund, no help finding rooms for the night, and the last lodge we were in literally wouldn't even let us use the bathroom in the hour we were waiting for vans to get us back to safety. Morrison's did at least send us all an official email about the trip cancellation so that we could share that with our travel insurance (if we'd purchased it) to try to get a refund, but that was about it. Morrisons also made the guides tell us, rather than having anyone higher up in the company talk to us. From what we can tell, they also didn't do anything to help their guides (e.g. helping them find lodging) once the trip was canceled. I will also add that I'm vegetarian, and although there was a lot of very tasty vegetarian food available, vegetarian protein was extremely scarce. For dinner the two nights we hiked (~9 mi on day 1 and 15 mi on day 2), there was no source of vegetarian protein for me to eat. (The gluten free and dairy free people fared much better.) It would've been so easy to roast a portobello mushroom the way they roasted salmon, or to do some kind of meat substitute when they did ribs (they did have meat substitute at the lunches, and eggs or veggie patties at breakfast). I had brought some protein powder with me, but not enough to make up for dinners without protein. My friends ended up giving me the protein bars they'd brought for themselves to try to make up for the dinners. To Morrison's: please consider all macronutrients (carbs, fat, AND protein) when planning meals for your guests! Overall, I would absolutely go back to the river with any of the guides, but I'll never use Morrisons again, and I recommend that you don't either.
