On a day trip to Stowe VT and the area surrounding Burlington. Going along VT-15 and found this great place. Had a 1st Republic Pilsner and some dry rub wings with a side of Buffalo sauce. The wings were perfectly fried and the rub was spicy but not overwhelming. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Glad we found this gem.

We are living in Jericho and get our mail at the PO boxes here. It's a treasure. Friendly, hardworking staff; we told John the owner he is the coolest mailman we've ever had and it's true. The place is well-stocked with all sorts of treats and staples if you're in a pinch. Seem to get some rare Ben & Jerry's which is fun...plenty of local libations plus Trent's bread, Slowfire, Poorhouse Pies. Breakfast here is clutch and the burgers are solid too. Oh and CREEMEES- get the maple sprinkles!!

One of my favorite places to stop when visiting Vermont. Nice local feel with super friendly staff. You can find a variety of things at this store...from your regular convenient store items to freshen cooked food. You can also find local goodies like the amazing pies from Poorhouse Pies.

It's like stepping into the past that has all your current favorites. We each ordered sandwiches and took home a gallon of milk at the same time. The creamees are seasonal so get them while you can! Family owned, they are as friendly as your hear Vermonters are. You don't feel rushed and could wander through the small store all you like. Go early for those yummy sandwiches, they get really busy at lunchtime.

Unique Vermont products, essential staples, this store has it all. They also offer Vermont Maple Creemees and local grass-fed beef from Jericho Settler's Farm. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly. Beautiful surroundings, especially during foliage season...worth the drive if you are in Northern Vermont! Skip Burlington and tour the small towns instead. You will not be disappointed.

The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. They ran out of croissants but made a fresh one for me on an English muffin. So good!

Fire sandwich's cute little shop. Has old fashioned candy store vibes. I like the Mansfield. Expensive but it's Vermont so...

We were pleasantly surprised. The food here was excellent. We started with the fresh bread and maple butter - yum! I had the fish and chips, my spouse had a Greek-style pasta with salmon. My fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crisp crust. The fries were obviously hand cut. My spouse's salmon was also perfectly cooked, and the pasta was tasty, although he questioned the addition of a copious amount of feta. As for beverages, I had iced tea that tasted freshly brewed. Spouse opted for beer. He felt that the beer list, although good, was nothing special. It was mostly IPAs. I wonder if this will change during the high season. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As for ambiance, it was rustic in a clean, friendly, and cheerful way.

We started with the picklesand skins. For dinner, we got the beet salad and BBQ pork sandwich, and I got the fish sandwich with a strawberry pound cake for dessert, which was not your typical pie but very good. We enjoyed ourselves and the meal, and the drinks were reasonably priced.

It pains me to write this review, but after many major fails, I have to speak up, because, there is something rotten in the state of Vermont. This local franchise has rested on it laurels for years, and very often deserved; but over the past two years it has gone downhill, so far in fact, it's basically a rest area pit toilet. My most recent order is in the photos, but the general experience is the same between the South Burlington and Williston locations: hope, disappointment, and disgust. The South Burlington locations specializes in extremely overcooked chicken sandwiches and sad, soggy fries. I gave up on that location months ago. Earlier tonight, I gave the Williston location another chance; well, we all make mistakes. To say it was disgusting and inedible is an understatement, but the presentation was just plain creepy - (see photos) - it looked like someone tore off/ate a piece of the over-sized nugget they sold as a "chicken breast" sandwich. All of my "just doesn't look right" sensors went off. This was very, very unsettling. I put it in the trash where it belongs. I'm very upset that I spent my money and literally had to throw it away. The burger would have been salvageable (if i wasn't already creeped out by the "chicken sandwich" with a chunk missing). Besides, they put a cup of mayo on it. They put so much mayo on it, it not only liquefied the bun, but had begun liquefying the cardboard box it was in! This place is typical Burlington, Vermont mentality. Completely self-absorbed, self-important, and self-righteous - they think their stuff does not stink - and have no ability to process constructive criticism. Honestly, don't wasn't your time and money here. Go to Al's French Fries (Williston Road, South Burlington) if you want truly good, local, and sanitary food. Go to McDonald's if you can't get to Al's. Either way, you will get better food than at this self-righteous, stoned-out/"vibed-out," incompetent clown show.
