The only difference between a large late and a small late, is more milk, well that's a caffeine junkies disappointment. Maybe it's because they were busy before close, but they didn't seem to be to happy to be there and they missed the target on my order 3 times. The coffee was good, just missed expectations. I inquired about a wedding cake and couldn't get anyone to get on a phone call with me to discuss. They wanted email only. When I originally called the girl who answered was extremely rude on the phone and again said I have to wait for a response via email and that she nor anyone one else could answer my questions. The woman who does their coordinating took forever and finally started corresponding with me via email. However again it was like pulling teeth to get her to schedule a phone call with me. She sent me a contract with 0 estimate of what my expected total at the end would be. Every other vendor I've worked with for my wedding has sent a proper contract with an estimate included. I explained how I was not going to put a deposit down until I got on the phone with her. I gave her times I was available. She again took her sweet old time responding so by the time she did I had booked another meeting during that slot. I again gave her other times. And was told none of the other times worked for her and again most communication with their clients is email only. This became so frustrating and honestly a huge let down. I told the coordinator due to their lack of basic customer service that I was going with another vendor. As someone who has worked in customer service and scheduling myself this is not how you treat your clients. Might I mention no in person option or tasting was ever offered to me either which again seems very strange for a restaurant and catering company. So the bottom line is if you wanna play Blues Clues on one of the most important days of your life put on a blind fold because there is no face or personality to this business read more

My group got: everything bagel and a sesame bagel with lox: more like a lox sandwich, $7 was a pretty good price for what we got, had a lot of capers. I was visiting a friend in Jericho and this was the spot for grabbing some morning goodies to go with our coffees. Small shop with only a few tables, but plenty of patrons going in and out with their boxes of breakfast goodness. Quite a selection of freshly baked pastries and muffins to choose from. I selected six to take to my friend, her husband, and her two kiddos. There was something for everyone! We cut up pieces of these large goods, so we each try a little bit of everything. A little bit out from where I was staying, but worth the drive for the smiles and satisfaction that started a perfect Saturday visit and catch up. read more

I adore this sweet little bakery and often take friends here when they are visiting from out of town. There are always vegan and gluten free options available. Their oreos are particularly fantastic* and so are their croissants. *In the early days of the pandemic I ordered a dozen of their oreos and rationed them carefully to last as long as possible (which wasn't very long, because they are so delicious). After reading the reviews, I was happy to drive over 40 minutes to hang around, drink some espresso, and work. Unfortunately they have removed all the seating in the restaurant, and you are not allowed to eat or drink in store. The maple latte was good, but not outstanding. Their spinach cheese biscuit is delicious. This has been my lunch on more than one occasion. However, the poppy seed muffin and blueberry muffin are really dry. The chocolate cake cupcake looked gorgeous, but the cake portion was a bit dry and crumbly. The frosting was a bit too dense, was expecting something fluffier. I was curious about this bakery, which opened a couple weeks ago. On my way back from skiing at Bolton, I stopped by to give some pastries a try and sit for a caffeinated beverage. The shop has a friendly open atmosphere with 7 tables for casual seating. The bakery cases had some great choices of pastries, cookies, and scones including a gluten free option. I enjoyed my cafe mocha with a chocolate croissant. The croissant had a wonderful crust and soft texture of the inside along with a wonderful semi-sweet chocolate on the inside and drizzled on the outside. The mocha was a nice warm treat to compliment the croissant. Children gravitate to the pastry cases as it the assortment is tantalizing. I happen to be around to see a couple have a wedding cake tasting. They had three cakes (3 inch round mini cake versions) that looked great and friends, who happen to know the couple, got to taste these treats which they said were a delight. I could not help bringing home a sampling of scones (one sweet, one savory), a tart, and a New York style crumb cake. This bakery is welcome addition and draw to Richmond. read more

This is a nice little cafe and bakery. They close early so be sure to get there before they do as you ont want to miss out on all of their tasty treats. I REALLY enjoyed the tartlet! We stopped by a few weeks ago on our daughter's recommendation. Three years ago Sweet Simone's made a wonderful carrot cake for her wedding. I went head over heals for the molasses and ginger cookie. I immediately tried to imitate it at home but haven't worked out their magic. Don't buy them all cause I'll be right behind you in line for more whenever I'm in Vt. Easily the best bakery in Chittenden county. Almond croissants are unbelievably good. Crumb cake reminds me of what I grew up on in NYC. The cupcakes (I've had all of them) are great to share if you're generous but I usually eat the whole thing. Even the cookies are delicious and buttery. Incredible flavor. We drove over from Essex junction because we've gotten really yummy raspberry bars made by sweet Simone at nomad. But it was a major disappointment. Couldn't find a blueberry in my expensive blueberry muffin. Would have done better at hannafords. Expect more from a bakery. Bummer. Also wish they included on their website that even though they were open on a Sunday at lunch time they were not serving any breakfast or lunch sandwiches only bakery items. Two stars deducted for the girl with the side-braid who has SUCH attitude every time I visit. I don't know if she's mildly prejudiced or maybe just always in a bad mood, but I've picked a different coffee/breakfast spot several times because her sour attitude is a deterrent. One star deducted because the baked goods never really achieve yumminess; they all need a pinch of salt or something to wake them up. Consistently delicious. We have tried most of their menu and have yet to be disappointed. The desserts are complex and have great texture. The almond cupcake had a delicious chocolate frosting with a thicker chocolate ganache center and a wonderfully flavored almond cake. The almond croissant was flaky with the right amount of filling. One of our only local options for baked goods. We had a terrific bagel with cream cheese and lox. Great coffee. But it is somewhat insulting that on more than one occasion, we have had baked goods leftover from days earlier (not labeled as such but just obvious when you bite into the item). Yesterday, for example, I pointed to a piece of crumb cake in the display case. Instead the person grabbed a piece wrapped in plastic on a plate from behind the display case and handed it to me. So beware to those that seek FRESHLY baked items. You will pay the same for yesterday's less fresh goods. read more

The last 2 times I've came here I got the egg sandwich with spinach and tomato. I love it. The egg is big and fluffy, and the style of bread its served between is always perfect with a nice crunch. There is also some kind of spread on it and it's awesome. Iced coffee is always good when I come here was well. read more

Stopped in recently and fell in love with the cozy interior and delicious treats. My one comment is I wish that they regularly had lunch items. Even a small selection of soups / sandwiches on house made bread would be wonderful. I was in over lunchtime and specifically hoping for something lunch-ish but ended up with a latte and scone. I inquired with the girl working the counter but was told what they had was what was available. I know many people love this place, but their baked goods are mediocre in my opinion. It's almost like they don't add enough sugar. I mean, I know that our population is more overweight than ever, etc. But this is a BAKERY! I go in for a treat, something sticky and sweet.
