We ordered a dozen pizzas for a large gathering and were so impressed with the quality of the pizza, for such a great price. We scheduled a day early, and we're able to pick up at a time before they got too busy. All of the signature pizzas were incredible, we regret not ordering more than we did. Don't waste your time or money...:find somewhere else!! My family and I went to dinner here in a weeknight and from the moment we walked in the service was bad. We stood there for several minutes before someone acknowledged us kind of rudely and we should've honestly walked out but there weren't much choices as a lot is closed and there were good reviews for this place. It wasn't very busy but yet it took forever for everything. I ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce to share with my son and after about 20 minutes the waitress came over to tell us they were out of the sauce. My son doesn't like much so we just got buttered noodles. My husband and other son got a sandwich. After we altered my order, it somehow still took long to get us our food that I felt like going back there and making my own pasta. I was waiting for them to tell me they were out of butter. We finally got our food and my husband's sandwich which was the same size as my son's was somehow 1 inch shorter. The pasta was...well pasta..they added some cheese. My husband was never asked if he wanted his soda re-filled and of course it took us time to get our check. We wound up leaving cash so we could just get out of there. read more

I'm giving 5 stars *just* for the crust. I don't even like crust. I'm one of those childish people who eat everting but the crust. I'll even lick off remnants of tomato sauce clinging to the crust to avoid eating that millimeter of crust. But here's what I just did: I didn't think I could eat another whole piece of our takeout Grande pizza...so I tore the crust off a slice and ate JUST THE CRUST. I always get the "Grand" because I love a lot of toppings on a pizza. Load it up. (And they do! Tons of toppings). --Bar also. For a small place in Richmond Vermont and especially with Stones throw right down the road, Papa McKees food was pretty good and the mini corn dogs were actually really hot and delicious and the pizza was a decent pepperoni pizza and definitely on the cheaper end probably around 26$ for a large pizza and the corn dogs which is very good for the portions and taste of the food. read more

Happy Labor Day We stopped by for a late lunch today, our first time at Papa McKee's a, and very impressed! The Round Church paintings throughout are very sweet, many TVs for game watching, and booths galore ( if you're not into sitting at the bar. The customer service was excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly & had great energy. The menu actually said GRINDERS which is a rarity. Sold! The turkey grinder was delicious, fries were great & cheese pizza did not disappoint. Found out the use their leftover pizza dough to make homemade ciabatta bread. Visually, McKee's may appear as a dive but it's great! Definitely make this your go-to pizza/subs joint. read more

Place is expensive and the food I had was really not great. One 12 inch pizza, garlic bread, and a soda was $25. I know its one of the only places over there, but still. It was a one man meal! The pizza was not crispy in any way, all sloppy. Not a happy customer at all. read more

Consistently serving great tasting pizza, My favorite pizza place in Vermont. We always get the "Champ Monster" pizza which is loaded with crumpled bacon and sausage. My daughter sticks with the regular cheese pizza which doesn't disappoint either. Having a hard-working, super friendly staff is a big plus too. Hit em up on Monday's, half price large pizzas! Looking for a simple place with great burgers Papa's is a really good choice. The burger was much larger than expected and tasted great by itself - but when served on ciabatta bread it is outstanding! Fries were good. Small and friendly place that can use some TLC, notably at the entrance. Would definitely go again. Looking forward to trying the pizza. read more

My son and I stopped in here driving home from Montreal and, as it was the only food option open in the area at 8:45pm and we were starving, we were resolved to enjoy it no matter what. The pizza here is ok and the burgers are decent but lack flavor. The burger is unseasoned and they can be dry. Their spinach and artichoke dip is really good and the bartender pours a stiff drink. I had been there befor and had a horrible experience but decided after a couple of years to give it another chance. Easy to miss since it's on a rural highway, but you must stop here. A pizza place within in an interesting bar setting. Great for watching the big game or the debates as was our case. For a mom and pop joint, they have fantastic pizza at a reasonable price. They are happy to make it any way you like. They also have gluten free pizza which blew us away considering this is a small place. DO NOT miss out! We were staying in the area and went back twice during our visit. Went on a Thursday around 5:30 with my toddler and father. An HOUR AND A HALF later my daughter and father got their food (and FINALLY my father his coffee!!) but I had to wait another 15 minutes for mine. When it came it wasn't even correct. The waitress never checked in with us during the almost two hours we were waiting. Not even to offer more water or apologize for the wait. I understand being busy but more waitstaff and apparently kitchen staff was needed. Very frustrating. We had gone to lunch before and had no problem but this experience has ruined the restaurant for us and we will never be back. read more
