Do not take your vehicle here, they are a rip off! I have a simple window repair and they charged me $180 to tell me the window motor needed to be replaced for over $400! So over $600 total. I actually have a motor but they said they would not use outside parts. It took them literally no time to know the issue and charged me for it. My honest "fact checkable" customer experience history shared on other platforms too. Jerry's is a good auto repair shop that found a major problem with my Ford and fixed it when many others shops couldn't. They had come recommended by Certified Transmission and some other nearby specialty repair shops. I have several vehicles and the recommendations are the reason I first went to Jerry's. Still there is an alarming caveat. Their service is "hit or miss." I subsequently took that same vehicle back in for another repair. I've listened to other returning customers complain about Jerry's work while waiting in line. Jerry's had the ability and means to perform my repair work...but just because I didn't accept the "up-sell"...they refused to do the job. So I had to get the work done at another auto repair shop....that was willing to provide creative and better customer service. Jerry's work and cost seemed good and they had been my "go to first" repair shop but there are inconsistent customer care signals now. They are not rude...rather they're pleasant...so your choice to take the risk. I went to Jerry's for an inspection on a car I just purchased. They found 2 things wrong that failed the inspection. I had to replace a sway bar and a broken tie rod. They quoted me $510 for this work. They were very nice and quick, however, the parts out the door at NAPA cost $130 and it took my husband about 2.5 hours to change these things out in our driveway. The first time was a simple safety inspection and the second was a diagnostic and repair. I thought that my alarm system was going on the fritz and I asked them to do the repair. They called me right away with an explanation of my problem and informed me that it was a simple repair. The price was very reasonable and I was very satisfied. The work they've done on my car has been good. HOWEVER, the last time that I went to have it done, it was regarding an insurance claim that I had. I told them to go ahead with the work since the insurance money was set to come to me anyway. But though I paid for half of the work up front, they continued to wait and talk to the insurance company, which had been taking forever to get anything done. So work on my car didn't commence for 10 days after I paid for half and gave them permission to do the work. AND THEN...when I got the car back, it smelled. On top of that, I found a cigarette butt in my car. My car didn't come with an ashtray and I don't smoke. It was tossed in an opening under the radio, where there was some paper that had burnt spots on it. So thanks, Jerry, for trying to catch my car on fire in order to feed your addiction! read more

Went to jerrys about a month ago to figure out why my a/c was not running. The people at the front desk barely acknowledged me and were quite cold, acting as if they didn't really want to be asked to many questions. I told them I needed it done by a certain time and they said it would be and they would give me a call when it was done. Never called. I had to call to see what was up. They told me it was the compressor and quoted me 1500 dollars to do the job. That is ridiculous! The job only takes 2 hours to do and shouldn't be anywhere near that. They charged me 125 dollars to diagnose it!!!! So i took it somewhere else. Turns out the compressor wasn't the issue at all. I will never take my car here. Way over priced, front desk not very welcoming, and couldnt diagnose problem correctly and still charge you a ridiculous diag fee. read more

I DO NOT trust them. When I pick up my car with a problem it didn't have before it went in, it makes me very suspicious. I had them put a new bulb in the headlight, but when I picked it up the other headlight was out. I find it unlikely that from the time they parked my car to when I picked it up the light mysteriously blows out. read more

One hour to get an inspection to have my man tell me there was a crack in the windshield that was more than 3" that blocks my passenger side wiper. (Not a reason to fail an inspection) Cracks are for vision only. Go spend an hour at Jerry's if you like grandview. It's a real rush! read more

on two separate occasions I've gone to this shop to get service. I went to get a state inspection . I was told that because it will take 30 minutes to do a state inspection that I would have to schedule an appointment . I've had state inspections completed at different shops and it's never taken 30 minutes . The staff there are rude . They made me wonder if it was the color of my skin that was the issue.
