(Last visited 3/31/2022.) Every Wednesday Jerry's hosts music bingo with a chance win all kinds of free prizes, so needless to say I've been here quite a few times not only for that, but for their delicious wings! Let's begin! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is pretty much a dive. Lol. Not a bad dive. It doesn't present a risk of being killed or harmed in the parking lot, but once inside and you hang out for a minute, you'll understand. Lol. There is a private parking lot on the side of the building that Jerry's shares with a couple of other businesses. It's an elongated sort of restaurant with a drop ceiling, many TVs a slightly raised "stage", a pool table toward the back and a big bar rail on the right side. Like I mentioned, it's a dive, so it's loud in here. Service: I can't remember all of the servers names who took care of us, but I've never actually had an issue here. Things are fine, nothing like a fine dining restaurant, but it's all good. Food: I'm here for the wings! Throughout my numerous visits I've had their Bacon Ranch, Sweet 'N' Hot, Marinara Parmesan, Cinnamon Chipotle and Honey BBQ flavors. They're all very good, a decent size and full of flavor. Value: I feel like there's some sort of #WingWednesday special on the same Wednesday where there's music bingo, but I'm drawing a blank on what exactly is. Lol. Just trust me. In conclusion, this place is cool. I'm not gonna pull up on my own merit, but if some folks wanna get together to play some music bingo and get some wings, I'd be down!

When Jerry's does things well, they're great. When they don't...you wish you went somewhere else instead. Consistency is a problem here. I've had one of the best pizzas of my life here, and many pizzas that I've had to go home and finish cooking or otherwise doctor up. When they make my chicken cutlet grinders as I order them, they're spectacular, but sometimes they're missing toppings and they never ever ever give extra pickles like I ask them to. At least when you dine in, you can ask them to fix it. They have live music at the bar a lot, it used to be called Matty's Next Door Sports Bar, but then Matty got ousted post divorce so now it's all just under the Jerry's umbrella (it was always connected inside). It's a good local spot to hang out and eat, I just wish it was a little more consistent.

They do exist!! The Thai peanut butter & jelly wings are not just a myth... they are a real thing! After trying to order them for what seemed like an eternity they finally had them! Omg they are PHENOMENAL! The the spicy peanut butter on a perfectly crispy wing coupled with jelly, life changing!!! Jerry's Bar is a fun place to go. They have live entertainment/events on most nights. My favorite is Music Bingo on Wednesday nights at 7. It's a night of singing and seat dancing over drinks and good food. If you win the prizes consist of free cheese pizza, well drinks, appetizers, wine or traditional wings. There is no charge to play. I am a fan of their calzones, salami grinders, & buffalo chicken salad - they make the best chicken cutlets!!

Absolutely love this place!! Shannon is the best waitress. So attentive and friendly. We usually go on Wednesday for music bingo. It's something fun to do while hanging out with friends not to mention prizes when you win. Who doesn't want a free drink? All the food is delicious. Wings, pizza, fried pickles, sweet potato fries--all very good. Always served hot and we've never had to wait too long for the food

Stopped in with some friends for a quick bite. Delicious cheese pizza! Adding some oregano, crushed red pepper and cheese to it made it that much better.

Love music bingo night at Jerry's pizza. The staff is amazing always so friendly. Tonight we had the Hawaiian pizza and Buffalo wings. I was pleasantly surprise at how delicious the pizza was. The wing were a dry rub I typically prefer a sauce style wing but these were great. They have so many flavor options.

    Burnt pizza

Haven't ordered from Jerry's in a while. Unfortunately it was not good I used to really like their pizza. I ordered a small bacon pizza and the bottom was all burnt. Also ordered the Cajun shrimp skewers. There was very little Cajun if any at all and they were so overcooked they were hard to chew and just inedible. Not sure why they would let food go out like this. All went in the garbage.

Soooooo...the food is ok. The service is ok. It's not the closest place to me, so why do I keep going back? For the Music Bingo on Wednesday nights! They do have happy hour until 6, so if you can get there early to save a few bucks before music bingo at 7, that's even better! I've had some wings I enjoyed here, then have gone back a week or two later and they're bland or are supposed to be sauced yet come out looking like a dry rub. If it weren't for the entertainment, I wouldn't drive almost a half hour to eat here, that's what it boils down to. There are sweet potato wedges which I enjoy, though I always have to add salt and sometimes ketchup. I did order a pizza once and that was actually better than I expected it to be. It was the Blizzard Pizza with spinach and ricotta. But, when there are happy hour wings I generally stick to those, but they're just not consistent. I think they need more staff on nights they have entertainment, but maybe they just can't find anyone right now. If the food was great and the service was slow, I'd give that a pass right now as places are getting back into the swing of things post-pandemic. There is a pool table and touch-tunes available as well. And, I'm not sure what came out of the soap dispenser last Wednesday night in the ladies room. It was foam yet barely sudsed up, and smelled like rubbing alcohol. Did someone mistakenly put hand sanitizer in there that day? That would be my guess. I like to lather up and it just wasn't possible last week. If you're there for the entertainment and don't have super high expectations of the food? You'll have a great time!

They do offer a free lot in the back, but judging by all the cars, Mondo is very popular on a Friday evening. Sure enough, there was a big line of people picking up orders, but we walked right in and were seated immediately. We started off with a beet salad, which was surprisingly delicious, combining candied walnuts and sweet orange and green apple slices with salty feta and tangy balsamic over a mountain of mixed greens. We then moved on to paninis, generous portions of meat and toppings on freshly baked, crispy bread. One of us chose more mixed greens tossed with dressing while the other chose crunchy French fries. We also ordered a third panini to go, the Mondo combo. We asked for fries; the kitchen accidentally gave us a salad. Our server, Heather N., saved the day by noticing the error and giving us both side orders. Mondo is family friendly, and there were plenty of children during our visit. As such, the volume was a tad loud and boisterous, but nothing obnoxious that would prevent us from returning.

Over the past 2 years the service & food quality has been in steady decline. My most recent visit was inexcusable and I won't return. We decided to visit for "reverse happy hour" as an alternative from our usual thirsday night visit to Esca. We had Michael for our server and sat upstairs in the lounge. We were brought menus as we were sat and we ordered drinks to start, but weren't sure on food yet. Our server then proceeded to visit our table 4 times over the next 15 minutes to ask if we wanted to place a food order. It felt rushed. The vibe : awkward. The music was so loud I couldn't hear my server, my date or anything else besides the droning voice of Amy Grey. She had no spacial awareness and didn't know when to shut up. Incessantly talking over every song and not realizing that a bar gig is inherently different from the radio. The food : mediocre. We ordered steak frites from the happy hour menu which noted that the steak was "marinated". The 4 piece of tepid steak that came to our table were covered in this cloyingly sweet sauce that tainted the entire dish. Since the steak was served atop the fries, this sauce caused the fries (straight from the Sysco box) to become soggy and absorb the sauce which made the fries not so appetizing. We followed that up with a Cheese Pizza which was pretty good. The pizza here is their saving grace, and this place would do much better as just a slice shop. The drinks : abysmal. I started with a Skittles fruited sour from Transcend Brewery that Sicily had on tap. I was excited because it's rare to find their beer on tap outside of the brewery. It was served in the wrong glass. The F&B manager at Sicily needs to do a better job at making sure the bar is properly serving drinks. Teku glasses are essential for fruited sours. It didn't taste the same as it did in the brewery, however, for $6 I decided to just chalk it up to inexperience. I followed the beer with a Paloma, which was advertised as $5 for happy hour. When I ordered from my server I pointed at the menu showing the tequila listed for $5. As soon as I tasted the drink that was brought to me, i knew it was way off. I asked my server to ask the bartender what was in the drink because it didn't taste right. He told me that the bartender said "grapefruit juice", which is not the proper mixer for a Paloma. A Paloma only has 3 ingredients - Grapefruit Soda (Squirt or Jarritos are acceptable), Tequila & Lime Juice - it's a very simple cocktail. If you didn't have grapefruit soda, which is the main ingredient in the drink, just tell me that... I would have picked something else. The service : Impersonal & rushed. When i sent back the drink, the affect of our server visibly changed, almost as if he was angry or insulted that I would send back a drink that wasn't made properly. He asked if I would like something else, but my confidence in the bartender to make a proper drink had waned and I stuck with water for the rest of the night. My date continued with a 3rd glass of wine. About 10 minutes after this, my date got up to use the restroom, and our server came over and handed me a box for the remaining pizza, without asking if we would like anything else or if my date was done with her wine. He whisked away the half full glass and dropped our check effectively ending our visit. We weren't ready to leave. My date came back to the table and asked where the rest of her drink was and I explained the our server cleared the table and dropped the check. She said "I guess it's time to go". The nail in the coffin was when I picked up the check to see that I was charged for a $16 "Casamigos" cocktail. So i suppose if i had continued to drink the Paloma he would have been happy to charge me $16 for a $5 happy hour drink. The whole experience was off-putting and we didn't feel welcome. It felt as if our server was just trying to turn tables as fast as possible. I won't be returning and recommend others to stay far away.

The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. Well the reputation of Sally's initially came from recommendations from acquaintances and uber driver. So I figured: Sally's must truly be the best pizza in New Haven the pizzz capital of USA (well that's what the signage at New Haven Tweed airport says!) So on a Monday mid-afternoon (July 13 2026) I made sure I put my Teams offline and drove to New Haven from Milford. Traffic on 95 but that's I guess typical. This doesn't happen in VA Beach where am visiting from; but not a novice in dealing with I-95 traffic since I've lived in Northern VA for 36 years. Anyway why am I describing all this? Is Sally's truly worth the hype, long lines and oh btw for pickup/delivery you get in line to order, and have to come back 45 minutes to pick up your order!?? The notable thing is that service is a 4 for takeout. You have to wait a few minutes for the staff who takes orders to be at his station to take the order. He disappears for minutes. But ordering was quick and when they tell you ready gif pickup by 4:15pm, it was ready (but of course got to get in line for that too!) The answer is: only if you don't want to drive to NY to get really great pizza. I ordered the garden (signature) pizza. It looked like a garden alright: vibrant green not overload of red pizza sauce or overly sprinkled cheese. The crust was pretty thin (way I like it) but not as thin as real pizza in Italy. The toppings were fresh. But it was on the bland unseasoned side. I'd give the pizza a 3.
