I had to hop on a plane for a few hours, so I wanted to pack the sandwiches for a later time -- but I had to try them FRESH. Oh boy. These sandwiches were an absolute EXPERIENCE -- the bread (which is schiacciata) was warm, pillowy, with the most amazing crust. The porchetta on the L'INFERNO was so tender and full of flavor paired with the nduja. The LA DISTRICT was a nice calm contrast, instead of strong flavors, all the elements worked as one -- and that pecorino cream was an absolute masterpiece. After I arrived, the line behind me quietly filled up quickly (it was the 10:35 AM)! As with most locations, come early if you don't want to wait. I did eat the rest of the sandwiches about 3 hrs. later but it got duller the longer it sat (as expected). It was still good though! I repeat: I was a bit skeptical because of the virality of this slot, but at lease at the UNCOMMONS, location, the hype is indeed real.
