#13 The Original Italian - Added mustard, pickles, pepperoncini - Very Good

Great sub sandwich. I get the mini which is plenty along with a bag of chips and a Mountain Dew. I always get my favorite - #13 The Original Italian with mustard, pickles, pepperoncinis, and jalapeños.

I received brisk service from the employees behind the counter. However, the music was louder than their voices, so both the customers before me and I had to ask them to repeat themselves.  The vegetables and bread were fresh.  They made my sub to my specification. I appreciated that I was not asked if I wanted bacon on my Club Sub (as other locations have), since it's part of the sandwich. Other than the loud music, the two employees I encountered were simply not engaged. I don't know if they were tired, stressed, or what. But communicating was difficult.  I felt I was practically a bother when I had to ask them to repeat themselves. That's poor customer service.

I never understand how their subs could be made better than other sub places. I went for the first time this week and was pleasantly surprised. The three people working were so friendly and when I said I wanted a cheesesteak, the cashier recommended the 43. I'm glad I went with his recommendation. It was phenomenal and I had no idea they cook their steak once you order. The bread was also so fresh and light. You get a ton of meat on the sandwich. I'm looking forward to returning.

I first came across Jersey Mikes while living in SA and instantly became smitten. I always order the # 13 The original Italian - Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. I get everything on it, including banana peppers, and pickles. Tip- Sundays kids eat free

The drive-thru line looked like it wrapped halfway to tomorrow, so I decided ordering ahead and picking it up inside would save some time. Unfortunately, that's where the good decisions ended. This location had recently reopened after what I assume was a remodel, so I expected it to look... well... fresh. Instead, it looked like the adults had taken the day off and left toddlers in charge. While waiting for my order, I leaned against one of the half walls only to immediately pull away because it was sticky. Not "someone just spilled something" sticky. The kind of sticky that makes you wonder how long it's been since anyone wiped it down. Then I started looking around. The floors looked like they'd survived an entire day's worth of traffic without seeing a cleaning. Nearly every surface I noticed looked neglected. For a restaurant that has built its reputation on cleanliness and efficiency, it was genuinely surprising. The lone bright spot was an older gentleman working the dining room. He greeted me warmly, asked how he could help, pointed me toward the pickup area, and wished me a great day. In the middle of what otherwise felt like complete chaos, he was the only person who projected professionalism and genuine hospitality. Then came the food. My fries were limp and soggy. The chicken was dry, tasted as though it had been sitting far longer than it should have, and honestly wasn't worth eating. I ended up stopping at Trader Joe's, buying a salad instead, and throwing the Chick-fil-A meal straight into the trash. I hate wasting food. I hate wasting money even more. But I especially hate wasting both at the same time. I sincerely hope this was just an unusually bad day for them. For me, though, one visit was enough. I'll be taking my quick lunch stops elsewhere.

The house-made blueberry preserves? Unreal. The local honey and butter? I could have eaten them with a spoon. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about it. Then came the cinnamon roll--crispy, golden edges with that gooey center that makes you involuntarily close your eyes and do a little happy food dance. We also shared The Old Fashioned biscuit sandwich, featuring house-made sausage that was so good it made us question all other sausage. Naturally, we had to "research" the bacon too--perfectly cooked, smoky, and absolutely worth it. We sat out on the porch with my pup, Lily, who was treated like royalty (fresh bowl of water and plenty of adoring attention). She gives the bacon two paws up! The staff? Absolute gems--Mark & Marie were warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have us there. It felt more like breakfast at your favorite relative's house than a restaurant visit. We can't wait to go back and eat our way through the rest of the menu. Hissy Fit, you've officially ruined us for all other breakfast spots.

Everything in moderation is my mantra in life. Today was my first day in Schlotzsky's in many moons. I remember the restaurant having an assortment of salads that were fresh, high in protein, and delicious tasting. Chicken Cobb Salad was my salad de jour. The salad is comprised of grilled chicken, bacon bits, hard-boiled egg, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and mixed greens with a creamy ranch dressing on the side. I do not usually pour salad dressing on my salad, but instead dip my fork into the salad dressing and then add salad to fork. It is a eating trick I learned about 20 years ago. Salad doused with too much dressing, quickly becomes super unhealthy. It is amazing how many calories are in salad dressing and unhealthy fats. The greens were fresh and crisp. The chicken breast was tender, well-seasoned, and thinly sliced...it might even be mistaken for turkey if you did not taste it first. The different textures and flavors made the Chicken Cobb salad delicious to eat. Service was great...we were greeted as soon as we went up to the cashier and our food was prepared rather quickly. When we lived in Washington state, we rarely could purchase a lunch salad under $15. This salad was priced sub $10, therefore exceeded our expectations. The salad was so large it was big enough for two means, so even a great value. Schlotzsky's interior is eye-catching and colorful. It has a rather whimsical and inviting persona.
