My boyfriend raves about this place. Actually, they know him by name, which is a little frightening. I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was aaaaaaawesome! The bread was soft, the meat juicy, the peppers and onions sauteed perfectly. I added jalapenos for the perfect amount of spice. East Coast-type sub shop that is pretty good. This place isn't for Jared as a lot of the selections will put weigh right on your A*& before you even leave.. I had cheese steak and it was dripping with sauces and juices. It was very tasty and I checked myself into a clinic to lower my cholesterol right after that. I've always considered Jersey Mike Subs sort of a popular hidden gem. Out of all the sub-shops that seem to spring up out of the ground like Texas wildflowers in Spring time, Jersey Mike Subs are my absolute total favorite. Every sandwich shop has it's own "thing" like 8 different types of breads that are baked in house (Subway) or they serve no bologna (Thunder Cloud), etc...etc... In that aspect, Jersey Mike's "thang" is that they slice the meat on demand. This is paired with high quality deli meats and together means you're about to get a sammy that will make you not "fugget 'abou' it!" Their bread is more like a mini-French bread and the provolone cheese is really amazing. My absolute favorite is the #13 (lucky 13 dude!). It's got all the stuff you love in a cold sandwich, like Provolone, ham, salami, pepperoni, prosciuttini and cappacuolo. Make sure you have them add some fresh onions, lettuce, tomatoes and try the hot peppers for an extra ~BADA~BING~ If you get it "Mike's Way," then they'll top it off with herbs and a good dousing of oil 'n vinegar -MAMMA MIA! Every other review here on Yelp is spot on. Next to Cafe 1626, this is a favorite of mine. The price is pretty reasonable for the quality service, and great taste, and I recommend going there to satisfy your sandwich needs. My favorite sub place for a while now. I love the Italian and the roast beef sandwiches here. The way I judge a sub shop is from their Italian sandwich, and at Jersey Mike's, you get 5 different types of meat (ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni) sliced fresh when you order. All their meats and cheeses are sliced in front of you - very fresh. They've got great sub rolls and a regular sized sub is filling enough on it's own to make a meal - no need to buy chips. read more

Sandwich was not fresh. Tasted sandwich for hours after eating. How does someone mess up a Philly Cheesesteak?! My co-worker had a Meatball Marinara after being talked out of Chicken Parmesan (the gentleman preparing the food told him the Chicken Parm had a lot of complaints about it tasting nasty). He was not impressed and could taste the marinara after eating the sandwich. Another co-worker got the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak and was not impressed. I will choose Jersey Mike's over any sandwich shop out there. They cut their sandwich meat as ordered. You're getting fresh meat rather than having it sitting there for hours and days for all we know. This place gets pretty packed during lunch hour. Closest thing I have been able to find to a good Philly cheesesteak in Austin. The only problem is the provolone. Join their rewards club for free subs when you purchase a certain number, as well as emailed coupons pretty much every week. Can I get a fist pump for Jersey Mike's? Gosh, I really do love this place. It reminds me of a "grinder" from the Northeast, which I crave all of the time. Today I went to Target and then walked over to Jersey Mikes. I really ventured out today, having a chicken cheesesteak sandwich, on wheat. It had grilled onions, mushrooms and peppers. I'm weird so I added some lettuce too. It was good, but I'll probably stick with the turkey like I normally do. Or, save the cheesesteak for this winter when I need a hot sandwich. SO my bro has been raving about this place like a teenager bumpin to DJ Tiesto w/various colors of neon glow sticks, so we hit it up, and when you see their "sandwich creation" area, you know they are for real. So me being me, I'm not much of a sandwich person, at least not on the caliber that Joey from Friends is, cuz damn that boy luvs him some sandwiches. ANyways, I order the CHipotle cheese steak, regular size, and so does my bro. And away goes a cute little young woman to the back to make our subs. A couple minutes later, they yell out RUBEN!!! meaning my order was ready. For being a regular sized sandwich, I was just impressed by the weight of the beast. And without unwrapping it, you can tell that its not mostly bread like some other places...**cough, cough, Subway, cough, cough***. MOving on, after unwrapping it, it genuinely looked like a top-notch sandwich. I open it up, and am once again impressed because my jedi senses were on the mark by there being a great amount of meat inside the sandwich. onions & peppers were grilled, the cheese was melted in a way I have never seen before. and after a couple bites and some minutes later after talking for a bit, I came back to it and it was still HOT, like it should be. One of my pet peeves I have with sandwiches is how quickly they can turn from hot to cold. Well not this sandwich, its like there were extremely tiny minature sandwich creatures standing on top of the bread with acme versions of flame throwers keeping the sandwich hot and not letting it get cold. SO yea, if you can't tell by now, then it will spell it out admitting this sandwich was the best I've come across. And now to the reason why I docked off 1 star, space is very limited at this location. There is a window section that seats 4 very tightly, which is where we started off sitting while waiting for the sandwiches to get ready, then luckily a table opened up, and you have to be ready to grab it, especially when they are busy. Now not being a sandwich person, I'm not sure what the going rate is on them these days, but for two regular sandwiches w/drinks, the total was $19 & change. which seemed a bit steep at first, but keep in mind, I don't know what good sandwiches usually cost, so that may be the norm. I will say, my thoughts changed a bit once i actually tastsed it, but for the cost, it would be a "once in a while" type place rather than a "MUST HAVE EVERYDAY" sort of place. If Cookie Monster were to eat at this place, I'd bet that he'd stop saying "COOKIE COOKIE" and start yelling "SANDWICH SANDWICH!!!!!!" read more

Had one of their subs for the first time this afternoon. It's been about six hours and I'm still stuffed. On top of that, it was delicious. We each got the cheese steak something or other. I can't remember the name of it, I was starving at the time, but it came with the option of rosemary bread, which was really great. They have a few types of bread you can choose from. They have hot and cold sub options, and it also didn't take that long, especially considering that there were a ton of people in the store. Will be back! read more

The sandwich quality was fine, but kind of expensive, but the tacky part was that they verbally tell you to answer the tipping question that's on the kiosk... i.e., they pressure you into leaving a tip. And then you have to manually sign the credit card receipt with a pen. This is a standard sub place where you order at the counter, and they make the sub behind the counter. Typically I don't think this is the type of place you usually leave a tip at, and certainly not given the prices they're already charging you for their sandwiches. read more

LOVE love LoVe Jersey Mike's!! This is ALWAYS my go-to place when I can't decide what I want for lunch. It seems to be a little tucked away and easy to miss (located in the strip center off of the frontage rd of N183 between GOLFSMITH & TARGET) but these subs are by far the BEST! My FAVORITE is the #7 Turkey- Mini ( Mike's Way ) with pickles =) chips & drink. They have 3 different sizes and the Mini seems to be the same size as the Regular and its $2.00 cheaper, for $6.86 who can pass up a sub, chips & drink? There is not a better Italian sub in town. Antone's Poboys from H-town were here for a short time, but they're long gone. Antone's was the only sandwich that could compare, except maybe for Delaware Subs. Jersey Mike's also has a great cheese steak. Once upon a time, Delaware Subs had both the Italian and the Cheese Steak nailed down, but since their owners ran it into the ground, Jersey Mike's is the next best thing. read more

Great Hot sandwiches! Fast service! meat sliced in front of you! Limited vegi choices (compared to Subway or Larry's). Wheat or white bun choices. Wheat, white, sun-dried tomato wrap choices. Nice cheese selection. I eat here at least one a week. I really like the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak sandwich (extra onion and mushrooms if you please). Tried their "sub-in-a-tub" for the first time today. WAY too short on veggies; needed MUCH more shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. It was all meat, cheese, and fried onions. They refer to it as a "salad" on the menu. Sorry, Jersey Mike's, we don't agree. I'll bet you put much more shredded lettuce and tomatoes on your sandwiches. We had Jersey Mike's cater a business lunch for about 60 people with very big appetites. The various subs were clearly labeled, and we had just the right amount of food. They delivered fresh subs very promptly. The subs have lots of cheese and are on tasty sourdough bread. I will definitely order Jersey Mike's agin. read more

Tried the "sub in a tub" tonight as I am on gluten free diet. I asked for extra banana peppers and some of the tasty sweet relish on the side and of course, had it 'Mike's Way." I watched tehm spray ammonia cleanser right over the veggies to clean the glass barrier on the inside. She told me not to worry that the spritz don't get on the food! Really? Then as she explained that it was ok she sat the cleaning rag down on top of a newly sliced bread that was used on the next sand which. Luckily I got a chipotle cheese steak and mine never was handled by spritzy MacGee. Love me a Jersey cheesesteak but it's hard to choose to come back now. read more

Very tasty sandwich. The staff was pretty friendly. The cleanliness of the shop was a bit below average and my girlfriend had to ask them to wipe down the surface of the counter. It had standing juice and leftover lettuce. The fountain machine was almost completely out of syrup and seemed to be malfunctioning. So we left with a weird tasting mountain dew. The Italian sub was very tasty and the meats were fresh. I was promoted to leave a tip during my transaction, which was awkward. I understand why but I opted not to and used cash for the jar. jersey mike's kills! i used to work over near this location and love to pop in here to grab a sandwich to-go at lunch time. this store is great - they get packed at lunch and they keep the line moving at a breakneck pace! very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly staff. these guys know you want a delicious sandwich and you need it fast -- so they always hook you up!! the sandwiches here are awesome, too. the reuben and roast beef/provolone are fantastic...the cheesesteak is perfect - tender and cheesy. but the big kahuna is where it's at - like the cheesesteak but with jalapenos and even more cheese! the regular sized sub is more than enough for lunch....if you get the giant sub you'll either have to take some home with you or take a nap, hahaha. if you think thundercloud or subway makes a tasty sub, then get your ass to jersey mike's and prepare to have your mind blown. read more

I've been a customer of Jersey Mikes since the 1st day they opened, actually I was there on opening day! The staff are friendly, the food is always fresh and the bread is top notch. As a kid I ate at the orginal Jersey's in Point Pleasent. I try to get there on a weekely bases and my personal favorite is #6 w/ swiss Mike's Way...the #6 BTW, is roast beef! Where do i start !!? The prices are outrageous first of all, but i was willing to suck that up thinking that the quality of the sandwich would justify the price. Uh no . I ordered the #17. And my son the 18, well we both got a big, heavy soggy mess of tastelessness , i kept opening my sandwich up and trying to explain to myself why what looked pretty good, didn't taste at all good. I tried my son's sandwich and sadly his was the same deal, only more soggy and lacking taste!
