I rarely go to McDonalds but I needed something fast to eat while getting on the road. this had to be the worst one I've ever been to. The call box for orders was broken so they had a sign saying "Order at the First Window". Turns out they weren't taking orders at the first window but at the last one so after being trapped in line for THIRTY minutes, I finally ordered. Got my unsweetened iced tea, took a sip and it was sweet tea. I was still at the window so I gave it back. It turned out that they didn't have unsweetened tea because someone had put sweet tea in both dispensers. So then I just asked for a bottle of water. Got my food and drove off. The fries were undercooked and some of them were cold (not all which was wierd) and they weren't salted. I know it's just McDonald's but come on. read more

I ordered the large fries, over $5. They were under cooked, container half full and unsalted. I know McDonalds has the reputation for great fries but these were the worse. Oh they were also cold! All of the McMarro locations suck. This one is in competition with the Bishop location for worst McDonalds in the country. I don't think they have gotten a single one of my orders correct in the past several years I've gone here. And it's also done in a manner that I am ripped off. read more

I rarely go to McDonalds, but I recently moved into the area and my kitchen isn't finished just quite yet so I sometimes have to eat out. So I decided to go to the McDonalds near my house. I've been here before and they screwed my order up so I'm taking a big risk trying again but it's located close by and there's no way they'll screw up my order again. I've spoken too soon, after emptying the contents of the bag and I see they've given me someone else's order. Now I realize that working the drive through window isn't the most exciting job in the world, but if you're going to take a job, try to do it well. I have been in fast food business for over 30 years. Owned and operated Orange Julius, Quiznos, Sharkies, Long John silver. Never seen such a poor customer service in my entire life. Full disclosure - not a huge fan of McDonald's. If we're in need of fast food while on the go, there are other franchises I would pick above them. Especially since I can't have dairy cheese any longer - I used to occasionally order a quarter pounder with cheese, and that's gone out the window. A cheese-less burger doesn't appeal to me. We were out and about with our Sweet Granddaughter recently and she got a hankering (as she often does) for french fries. She also needed a restroom, and this made sense as a stopover. We got her a Happy Meal so that she could get the useless plastic toy. Kept her occupied while we all ate our food. The best part of the meal was when SG leaned over and put her head on me to say thank you and show how happy she was to be eating her beloved fries with her grandparents. Aww! This location has a good-sized dining room, decorated in cheerful colors. It seemed clean overall. The cashier that took our order was reasonably friendly. The food was so-so. Not the best / not the worst. Plenty of free parking. We mostly had the place to ourselves for a while until some boys came in after their baseball game, still in their uniforms. There were a few older couples wandering in about 2:00 in the afternoon, as well. It's convenient to the 101 / lots of free parking. Solid location at the eastern end of Camarillo. read more

Worst McDonald's! long drive thru lines, cold food, messed up orders, dirty facility, and I always park instead of going thru drive thru because it is usually faster that way. We've gone maybe 3 times last year with hopes maybe next time it will be better. Went tonight just for a sundae, again parked because the line was about 12 cars long. Now they have this strange high barrier between you and the cashier, poor cashier had to go on to her tip toes to see us. I don't ever expect much for any fast food place, but this is specifically for the customer service. It's awful. I went in with my coupon ready on the app for the $2 off frappe/etc. I had it open and ready to pay. They informed me that the machine was broken and they only had iced coffee. No problem. I said okay since the machine was broken and I couldn't use my coupon, I'd like to use the other promo available for the iced coffee, but The app only allows you once every 15 minutes to use another promo. I was not mad at all. Not a big deal. But they started being condescending and very rude and I thought it was fair to ask that I get the promo price for the iced coffee since I couldn't use the phone for the app for the frappe since I had opened that coupon already (even though I did not use it). I was not being rude or making a scene at all. They began being very rude to me. Your manager and another behind the counter were snickering while looking at me. It made me feel stupid. I was not being impolite or making a crazy demand. The manager came over and spoke to me like I was stupid. But it's them who did not understand what I was saying. She scanned her own code for me to get the promo since I now could not open the code from my App. I then asked the cashier why they're being rude to me when I wasn't making a scene? He just smirked at me and handed my receipt. I asked again why are you being rude when I was completely nice and calm. Again, ignored me. I would normally not review any fast food place because I don't expect a lot, but I have left 5 stars at a Dominos before because of their great service, not the food, and I know that employees receive unnecessary rudeness and abuse from dumb customers expecting 5 star service and quality. But this was just appalling. What is wrong with your attitude? Maybe teach your team some customer service. Learn how to treat people with respect. I don't know what their discrimination was against me to be rude for no reason, but it was grossly infuriating. read more

Everyone in this McDonalds is super nice and friendly. The problem is they take forever to help and serve you. I can stand line for 10 minutes with only one person in front of me. No one ever takes an order. You just stand there and wait as patiently as you can. You see workers running around and doing restaurant business but no one ever wants to get in front of the customer. Once they show up it's a great experience. It's the 5-10 minutes of standing around that drives everyone crazy. read more

The Mission Oaks McDonald's french fries 1) are consistently "not fresh and hot" 2) do not travel well ...what is going on with the QC control over the favorite menu item - and are they using the proper oil ??? The worst ever!! We waited 28 minutes for our order in the drive thru. Not only that, when I went in the actual place to see why it was taking so long nobody acknowledged me. I stood there for several minutes with a line of other customers behind me watching the employees fart around laughing with each other and what looked to be the manager joining in. I finally asked for my order and was handed it. No "thank you" or "I'm sorry you had to wait". I'm done! I have lots of choices where I spend my money. What happened to customer service? Do not, I repeat, Do not go anytime after midnight even though their drive-thru is open 24 hours now. Ordered a few things and the only thing warm, not hot, was the quarter pounder hamburger. Ordered chicken nuggets and fries as well and the nuggets were god awful hard and the fries were basically potato chips. Thats how hard and cold they were. Frequently missing items ordered, out of milkshakes frequently, and poorly assembled food. The staff seems indifferent. Waited almost 20 minutes today to be told they're out of choc/vanilla shakes. Not a McD hater, the Newbury Park, TO, and Moorpark locations are much much better. This is a franchise store, McD Corp should step in and boot them out. Every time we come here which I have no clue why we keep coming, mostly because it's one of the only places in Camarillo that's open a little later then the rest besides Jack in the box. Once again tonight, ordered a Oreo McFlurry, 2 cheeseburgers-one with no onion and the other ketchup and two large fries. The people working there were a bunch of kids hanging out having a good time chatting, one of them gave me the McFlurry it was halfway full=response was that how it comes and went back to laughing and chatting, gave me my food, went home to open it and all they did was wiped half of the onions off, left ketchup all over top of bun with a few onions on it. Couldn't eat that due to being allergic to them. This happens all the time and no one ever improves it there. Bad management I would say!! This is the ONLY McDonald's I go to in my city. I'm usually there every day. Today I pulled up to the box to place my order. I could hear that the order takers mike was still on. I waited a few seconds and asked, are you ready for my order? Her reply was "ummm yeahhhh. That's what you're here for, right?" I couldn't even believe what I heard. I didn't place my order.
