Wanted to grab a bite to eat while charging the car. Easy access to several fast food restaurants close to these Superchargers - the closest being Habit Burger and Grill. so thought I'd give it a try. Very crowded at 6 PM on a Thursday. The restaurant is pretty small - only a few indoor tables - mostly tables for two. It was also pretty noisy with a lot of people standing around waiting for their take out meals plus music over the speakers. My wife and I shared the BBQ Chicken salad ($12.70). It comes with ranch dressing on the side. The portion size was surprisingly large for the price. Generous amounts of chicken and bacon plus onion and corn. Very tasty.The staff behind the counter were all friendly and helpful. I would return here for take out but would try one of the other fast food eateries that share this parking lot if I needed to dine in next time I need to charge at this location. read more

This is one of the smallest Habits I've seen, it felt quite cramped. I don't know if this is a remnant of Covid or they never had a pepper bar but you have to specifically ask for any peppers when you receive your order. Same thing for ketchup and other sauces. I ordered the mango miso salad. It did not come with the advertised salad dressing. Some idiot gave me ranch instead. I also ordered and paid for extra almond/wonton mix and didn't get that either. How do you mess this up? Fast food workers are paid enough money that they should be able to get a very simple order right. I am NOT happy. The restaurant could focus a little bit more on cleaning the tables as they turn over, but overall the service was good. Selling a Chicken Club half sandwich combo for 10$. But its not a Chicken club, its a burger on a half bun. The new beef is not good tbh the chicken is ok but last time I got a SB Chicken Club at this location it was raw. I figured for sure it wouldnt get messed up this time. Wrong, not only was it not chicken it didnt even make sense. Apparently if it says half char on the reciept that means its a burger. Happy Birthday to me! Stopped by to grab my free char burger with cheese :) I opted to add another meat patty and also purchased fries. I asked for a water cup. Next time , I'll pay for a drink. The tap water is not good and tasted so bad. It was busy and I was lucky to have found a seat. They try to keep the place clean but with so many people, it was hard to find a clean table. This location isn't as good as the others Ive been to :o/ Plenty of parking and the store itself is a shoebox! Only a few tables inside. There's a lot of patio seating so that's good. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and they dumped like a half cup or more of croutons on it for one thing and... the lettuce wasn't as fresh and crispy as it normally is. Horrible manager. I downloaded the app to redeem the free char promo and when I placed the order the app showed me the promo was applied to the order. When I got into the store she said I "didn't do it right" and could not give the burger even though I showed her the app said it was redeemed. She told me "well you can buy another drink and then I can do it". I asked if she can do a refund, said no. Told me to call customer service and they could process a refund immediately over the phone. When I called I was told that was not correct and that I would have to fill out a form, contact a different department, and that it would not be an immediate refund. First off the cashier that helped me was amazing!! He is always super kind and pleasant. Thank you for that. Customer service for me is huge part of me buying from a restaurant. Also, for some reason every time I go in to the Camarillo store, the working manager is always grumpy, annoyed, or rude! That's not ok. I will not be returning to The Habit now because you have changed my favorite menu item, which is the Santa Barbara Cobb salad. It no longer comes with egg, blue cheese, or cherry tomatoes and it's much smaller. You are trying to get too fancy with the petite green lettuce and pickled onions. Gross! Stopped yesterday to pick up a lunch to go and usually I don't consume fast food because of the obvious reasons... but sometimes I make some exceptions and have cheat days . One of the reasons is to have access to Fast food ! Well the habit was a wrong decision for that matter when I had to wait 20 min for a simple order to go , just a veggie burger with a side of " roasted cauliflower ". All in one , it was a bad experience! Waited for my order 20 min , the cauliflower was a watery mess - see the carton box starting disintegrating from the excess moisture... it was watery steamed cauliflower not roasted , no flavor no seasonings! And when I asked for sauces , they informed me that I need to pay for sauces/ condiments! What in the actually duck? LOL It's like ordering a coffee and you need to pay for sugar !!! Your burgers needs some sauces because you slathered some cheap mayo on bread and that's all the prep! So I know Habit is known for their burgers, but...they are my go to spot for a quick delicious grilled chicken salad. Packed full of veggies and tasty grilled chicken, I haven't found a better fast food spot for a salad. Love the cucumber, carrots and crunchy croutons. You can't forget the sweet potato fries, decent crisp and good flavor. My boys enjoy their burgers and we have been happy with our meal each time. My only slight complaint is that they have gotten our order wrong a couple of times, but they always make it right if you let them know. The Cam location is a bit small, but offers nice outdoor seating. I have done curbside a couple of times and it is sooo convenient vs. getting my two toddlers out of the car. read more

Service has gone down hill significantly since Yum Brands (owner of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc.) bought out Habit. Reps are rude. Went in with my family recently. My wife wanted to ask if a substitution could be made on one of their burgers. When I walked in I was told they would be a few minutes as they were preparing pick-up orders. I started to use the touch screen order system but realized there was no where to request the substitution, so I politely waited. After five min or so, another rep came back from break and pointed at the screens telling us to order there. I said "no thanks, I need help", and the rep copped an attitude and said it would be a few minutes even though I had already been waiting a bit. Eventually the first rep came to help and was able to make the substitution. They also started charging for ranch. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying. It's just more proof that Yum Brands sucks. read more

Food as always is very good. I love the food, but their service and their policies regarding charging you extra .60 cents for extra ranch dressing for your onion rings make them seem tacky and cheap in addition to the kiosk they installed. They have less cashiers now and tell you to use a kiosk or wait 3 to 5 minutes which I did. I'm not a fan kiosk when I have special orders. I spent $20.77 for lunch you would think they wouldn't make a deal about some extra sauce. They started this new policy in August 2024. read more

This location just doesn't do the restaurant justice. Don't recommend if you're on a schedule. Ever time I have gone here for pick up they are always over a half hour late. Although I would like to note when you get a fresh burger from here it's delicious. The last couple times for me it hasn't been the case because they have been soggy for some reason and just plain not good. They can (when fresh) have very good sweet potato fries as well as good milkshakes. I'm going to keep going back since it's the closest one to me. Hopefully some how this review will get noticed and they will try and improve on some things. read more

This one, and all the locations I've been to since, are kept very clean.   Also, no matter the location -- I've experienced consistency across the chain (good job corporate trainers!).  Whether you choose burgers, fries, salads, chicken sandwiches, or all four -- it's fresh, good quality, well-priced, and quick. My favorite burger is the Teriyaki Char Burger with Cheese -- love that charbroiled flavor and sweet tangy sauce.  It's nearly impossible to avoid their combo with fries (fresh, superb) & a drink -- heck yeah!.  It's fast food prices, and yet, no sacrifice on quality whatsoever. I also highly recommend their salads.  They have several kinds to choose from.  More than half of my visits I would order the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, and I have them add bbq or teriyaki sauce atop.  It is supreme!  The chicken is served warm, and again, love that char flavor. It was a hard week this week -- it started with the death of a long time friend, an exam for work that was harder than expected, a refrigerator that stopped working after only six years, an accidental overdue water bill that got a late fee, and this all followed a broken sewer line at my house. I could go on and on about the terrible week and even the terrible year I've have had, but everyone has problems; right? That's one of the reasons that it's nice to go get burgers on a Friday night so one doesn't have to cook. We have been coming to the Habit for years, and we usually get several burgers, a couple of sides, and sometimes a salad. I think their Impossible burger is one of the best. However, this particular Friday night, we just got two burgers to go. I always ask for a small container of ranch, and they usually give it to me with a smile. It is one of the better ranch dressings that we've tried, and you can dip sides and even your burger in it if you want. So, this Friday night, I once again asked for a container of ranch. The young man behind the counter said, "It will be more; we charge for ranch now." "Never mind," I said. So, really, how much does it cost the restaurant to give a customer a tiny container of ranch? Even if they gave every single customer they have a tiny container of ranch, would that really cut into their bottom line? How much does it really cost them? Well, I can tell you that not giving out one cost them my business. There are burger places everywhere, and you can even make a decent one in the microwave with prefab ones from Costco or Smart N Final. The loss of good customer service is the first sign that a business is on it's way out. I would not recommend this place now to anyone. read more
