The food is always fresh and delicious. The Italian is my go to and my husband loved the big kahuna.

I have gotten multiple sandwiches from here in which the bread was still raw, sometimes the bread is amazing but sometimes it is falling apart and tastes like raw dough. I placed an on line order. When I got there to get my food I had to wait another 20 minutes. The staff were not very friendly. When I got home, the order was completely mixed up. I tried to call them and the line kept ringing. We decided to go ahead and eat the food only to find it was drenched in oil. The sandwiches were awful. Hubby and I stopped in here to get sandwiches a couple weekends ago. First thing I noticed was that while no customers were in the store, the employee who was preparing things in the back was wearing his mask over one ear but not over his nose/mouth. I could see this as I walked in. The employee didn't notice us right away so I just watched. Eventually they saw us and put their mask on properly and came over. Our sandwiches were made correctly and quickly. Jersey Mike's doesn't put very much meat on the default sandwich though so I recommend ordering double meat. Everything was tasty and fresh. I've now ordered twice from here and have been pretty disappointed both times. It's not that the sandwiches are bad, because they're actually pretty good - it's that the order has been wrong both times. First time I ordered at the location and asked for some add ons (pickles, lettuce). Someone other than the person making my sandwich cashed me out and I went and sat at a table so I didn't awkwardly have to stand by the counter for them to make my sandwich. Didn't get what I asked for. Second time, I ordered online. I added pickles to my sandwich and ordered a brownie. My bf picked up my order - did I get pickles on my sandwich? Did I get the brownie? The pictures will speak for itself. I get it, it's just a little jersey mikes no biggie right? Wrong! We pay 20 dollars for a sandwich you'd expect the place to be clean. We walked in and were greeted by a young man that didn't seem thrilled about us coming in. No biggie, hungry and craving a sandwich we ordered anyway. As we went to get our drinks, my wife noticed the ice machine was moldy and had bugs crawling all over it. The gentleman standing behind the counter (receipt says Dustin) was on his phone while the other guy made the sandwich. This was bothersome because the lobby was SO DIRTY! He was very kind and helpful with taking our order and on the pick day, the food was ready on time and packaged perfectly. I can't believe I'm writing a review about a national chain sandwich shop, but good grief... I made an online order at 10:30am for a noon pickup, (2 sandwiches and a kids meal,) I showed up at noon, and they literally hadn't even started them?! There was not a single customer in the shop and 4 employees, wondering around like chickens with their heads cut off? I told them to immediately get going on my sandwiches, and then once they finally began, it was llike watching paint dry. They took SO INSANELY LONG to make 3 small sandwiches. I've never seen anything like it!? My 7 yr. old son could shuck a dozen oysters in less time... Management needs to either start cracking the whip on these clowns or, just fire them and start over. The 3 ladies who were working when I came in to place my order deserve major credit! Two customers walked in just before me and came in with a list of 19 different sandwiches, some with substitution (one of which was a grilled cheese with no cheese) These ladies were so professional and so accommodating as they took the order, making sure they got everything correct. They were kind, curious, professional.... And the customers did not say please, thank you, or offer any type of appreciation for this 19 sandwich order that Dane out of nowhere... right in the middle of a shift change (which actually may have been a blessing since more staff were arriving). There was a lady behind me who was as rude after she gave her order assuming she'd be waiting for these 19 sandwiches to made before her, so she made a stink about going to do her grocery shopping while she was starving while she waited. It's a shame because the staff handled this large order perfectly by delegating a few people to work on the big order while others helped to get the small orders out in a timely fashion. I know how stressful his was at the end of the store manager's day while trying to get be next shift clocked in and she handled everything with kindness and grace...as did all the staff on hand. This was team work at its finest and today's date is 3/7/23 (Tuesday) around 3:15pm. I like to give credit where credit is due. This team of people deserve a medal and I'm so sorry the customers with the big order were so unappreciative and callus. Oh... and my sandwich was absolutely delicious. read more

Terrible customer service - do not order online!!I placed an online order and arrived. The order was not made correctly. I am completely understanding of this (we're all human). To then ask how we wanted them made when we gave all that information via order online is strange and made me scratch my head BUT what really got me is staff kept helping walk ins after I've been waiting/there first is unacceptable. After 30 minutes of waiting in the store, we had to walk out. I called once home and was told I couldn't get my refund because they needed a manager (okay!) I was told the manager would call me the very next day and gave my name and number. The next day I call around 2:30 even though I was expecting management to handle this sooner and call me - the manager picks up the phone. She proceeds to tell me that she needs to call me back because she needs to talk to the owner - really?!? I get a call back saying they'll refund me with no apologies or hey, I'm sorry what happened that's not typical of our service - nothing. Ridiculous. I will NEVER go back there. I even wonder had I not followed up if the manager was even going to call me. Some of the employees are really great and sweet while others are very unprofessional and use profanity while working or taking a break hanging out inside. As management, I would absolutely expect a manager to have the authority to make a $20 refund without needing to consult the owner. read more

Jersey Mike's Subs Carpinteria ...finally. After many years of hunting for the right location in Carp, Mike's is located in the Casitas Shopping Center. The location works for the locals and visitors traveling in Carp. They do a great job preparing all the delicious "Mike's Way" subs. Kind helpful staff, good food prep, real fresh everything. We ordered eight giant subs for our big birthday party with all the kids... Amanda helped us figure out what would work best with what the picky kids wanted, they love Jersey Mike's subs! Amanda made some good suggestion and everything was perfect. We love the fat free turkey, MW (Mike's Way) or the Tuna is always good. They push the competition to shame. The Original Italian sub is really good! Naturally "MW" Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Wine Vinegar, Olive Oil Blend, Oregano, Salt... perfect great meal. Enjoy. I love JM. And finally we have one in carp. Way over due! I've waited a while to give this review because I like to give places some time to settle into theyre space and learn who their customers are. But since day one I haven't had any issues at this location. I would like to think this is a much faster JM than most. I dine in and order online. Iv never had any issues ordering online or in store. My sandwich is always ready by time I get there when I mobile order. And the staff well... I like them! They're always friendly, welcoming and attentive! Hey carp is a tough crowd, I KNOW! but it's a sub place we needed one! And I'm very happy with this JM! This location is always clean and well stocked and staffed! Love their sandwiches! Original Italian on rosemary (#13) Mike's Way is my go to. If you're not going to eat it right away ask them for "the juice" on the side so your sandwich doesn't get soggy. Staff at this location are always cleaning something or making sandwiches whenever I go. Great place, great staff. Never have had a bad experience. The owner of this Jersey Mike's is probably the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered. While getting sandwiches this afternoon, he called the store to fire 1 of the 2 people working. Making it so the employee helping us make our sandwiches, had to stop making our sandwiches to answer the phone, then went back and forth on the phone for a few min before handing the phone off to the other employee to be fired. Like come on- are you kidding me. This place needs to go out of business so the owner stops profiting from circling around and around with new employees every week. First of all the two young teenage guys that were working we're very polite but when it comes to making sandwiches or food in general it didn't come out so good. I got the number 55 the Big Kahuna chicken and I got the biggest size sandwich they had and then I also purchased a sandwich for later. The Big Kahuna chicken was so nasty the chicken was overcooked, it was chewy and dry, when I opened the package to eat the sandwich it was soaking wet with what I'm assuming was the cheese? maybe?? Needless to say I ended up throwing it away that was an expensive sandwich to throw away but it was unedible. I then tried to eat the sandwich that I had gotten for later and it was soaking wet there was no reason why it should have been soaking wet. I didn't get anything on it to make it soaking wet no sauce or any of that. The bread was so soggy and it was only a matter of an hour prior to me opening it that I had purchased it. I had purchased a small sandwich for right then it was tuna I had asked how fresh the tuna was I wanted to see what it look like he grabbed the container ran back in the back and disappeared for a while then came back out and showed me the tuna and when I looked at it I could see he had made fresh tuna and put it on top of the existing I watched him put the fresher tuna on my sandwich but how fresh was that tuna I have no idea because it made me sick. I know it was bad because I was nauseous for several hours before the tuna finally came back up. My stomach didn't even digest the tuna which is a good sign that the food was bad when your stomach will not digest it, it knows better. So I was only able to eat the little tiny sandwich which was the tuna and it tasted good at the time I ate it. Later when I tried to eat my other sandwich before I was nauseous from the tuna, it was just disgusting I threw it away then I tried to eat my other sandwich that was supposed to be for later it was all soggy it was disgusting also. I threw it away also and it was probably a good thing because if the tuna was bad God only knows how bad the other was needless to say I paid about $90 for all of our sandwiches and they didn't even come close to being as good as they looked when they were making them. When they were making them they looked really good but this is one time looks can be very deceiving! The only reason I'm writing this review is so that I hope nobody else gets sick first of all, and second of all they don't waste their money. I had also left a 10% tip on our order. All I have to say is eat cautiously if you eat here If this was the first time I had ever had Jersey Mike's I would never go back. While on a road trip with our dog, we were tired and hungry so stopped here for a sandwich. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the door was then interior wasn't much better. The crew were very unfriendly and could have cared less if I was there or not. We were anxious to use the restroom after driving 300 miles but NOOO it was out of order. Then what looked like a street person just walks in an uses it. Meanwhile, I'm buying $25 worth of food and can't use it? The guy making the chicken sandwich couldn't have been slower. I waited while he looked to be just walking around doing nothing. This Jersey Mike's is horribly managed and the staff is hostile to customers. I have tried to be a regular customer since the restaurant opened about two months ago, and I typically go in to pick up sandwiches between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, 100% of the times that I have gone in to buy sandwiches, j Jersey Mike's in Carpinteria has been out of white bread, and the manager has told me that they do not make or white bread when they run out. The restaurant is supposed to be open until at least 9:00 PM, and Jersey Mike's has a very limited menu with only two types of bread, white bread and wheat bread. Apparently, management would rather lose customers then throw away a few pieces of bread. There were new employees in the store tonight, and frankly different employees every time I go into the store. Tonight, there were four employees working, but they were only able to process one customers order at a time, meaning They had to completely finish one customers order before they could take my order. While I waited, a five-year-old child stuck in front of me, and when I pointed out that I had been waiting patiently they had to completely finish one customers order before they could take my order. I don't know how she would know my experience when she has never been there before. Fortunately, they were able to paint some white bread, but I have to wait a half an hour tonight for my order, even though there was only one party I had of me in line. If I am going to wait for service, I would rather go to An upscale restaurant rather than a low-quality fast food restaurant with angry, argumentative employees who do not understand the concept of customer service. With this type of management, Jersey Mike's will just be one more Carpinteria business to go out of business in less than a year. read more

Very disappointed in the service here this evening!!!food quality was great as normal BUT they advertise ordering online in this location so I used the app and placed an order and they had run out of the bread I had selected so when I arrived (20 mins after ordering online as that is the wait time) they had not made my food; when I arrived in the store to pick up the women behind the counter said she called to see what type of bread but I didn't answer, I had no missed calls so who knows on the part, so what kind of bread would like now... so I tell her wheat bread for all will be fine and then I go out to wait in my car... couple walk in behind me... instead of continuing to make my online order, which should have been ready already, she makes the other people's food first so when I come back in noticing the couple checking out my food was still sitting with only meat on the bread!!! I've been to other locations and never had an issue. This one however is a disappointment to this town. The employees are very rude and unprofessional here. When i came here to get a cold sub it took them FOREVER to make a simple order. The food did not fresh and it was dirty inside. I have been waiting for a Jersey Mike's to come to Carpinteria for so long! The drive to SB just for my sandwich was hectic but I love their fresh meat fresh bread so much I had to do it! Then we got a Jersey Mike's here and OMGOSH it is just amazing! Love the fresh food I'm actually addicted and the staff are all very sweet always saying hello always smiling always professional I go in to this store at all hours morning lunch and night and not once have I ever been disappointed!
