Cute little market!! They had a lot of options and I wish I could try them all!!! The service was great! They even had a little crank to make your own peanut butter and almond butter which I thought was super cool

Beware...there pricing on there website is incorrect. They advertise there smoothies for $5.99 but they actually charge $8.99.

I stopped by for some smoothies for breakfast. I looked them up on Yelp and thought it would be a good choice since they had a few options and I was also looking to see if they had any good late lunch items that could be eaten later in the day for a picnic. Looking at the menu, I ended up ordering Mango Tango and the Hawaiian Special. Both smoothies were yummy and you can taste all the ingredients listed. The mango tango was definitely very nostalgic for me because it reminds me of the Jamba Juice but better. Both smoothies were $7.99 each which was pretty reasonable. They have other options like lunch wraps, açaí bowls and breakfast burritos (I really wanted this but I just missed the 11AM cut off :/) The ordering area is in the back of the shop. Once you place the order, they will give you a slip to go pay in the front. Once you pay, the cashier would stamp it, so that when you pick it up from the back they know you paid for it. And since I yelped this place prior to arriving I noticed they had a check in and get 10% off the bill. I figured, why not since I'm already checking in. When I went to pay at the front, I asked the lady at the register if I could use the Yelp check in and showed her on my phone. She looked confused at first and then proceeds to chuckle and then goes "I guess". So either she didn't know about the check in on Yelp, or she is laughing because I wanted to use it... not sure which but it did make me a little uncomfortable because I felt a little judged by it. Besides that, the smoothies were great and the people working at the back cafe were friendly and nice.

Look at how much peanut butter you get for $1!

This place is like two businesses in one: a health good grocery is the main business, and a little cafe at the back. I only came for the cafe, so I can't speak to the grocery part. But the cafe is awesome! You place your order there, take your ticket up to the counter to pay, then go back to get your food. I got an acai bowl, and it was incredible. Absolutely enormous, very reasonably priced, and so very delicious. Couldn't ask for a more refreshing meal on a hot day. I got added peanut butter, and the amount they added was extremely generous. I'm not a local, but this will definitely be on my visit list the next time I'm in the area. Note that the cafe closes a half hour earlier than the main store. Come early to avoid disappointment!

Cute & convenient health food store. My latte was perfect. My son's smoothie was good too. They have vegan options.

I had to call one over, and she asked me to walk to her instead of coming to the cashier. I ordered a hamburger with just cheese and a juice (which I repeated twice). The juice never came, and the burger arrived with lettuce and tomato. The attitude from the staff was not friendly, and even others in line noticed. Great food, but service is part of the experience. I hope they improve their customer service.

One time, my husband and I got the ready made "minestrone", which was a bowl of broken, soggy pasta noodles and broth. Ummmm, that's not minestrone... it's compost. Worst experience was when an employee shamed me for returning an (unused, unopened) item with the receipt. Like, what possibly could have been her problem other than she didn't want to be bothered by me to do her job? But, deep breath, other times it has been a "hit", and for those times I'm thankful. My most recent visit was the other day, with my daughter, as we were just in town for the day, and we wanted to pick up a few things to take with us on our roadtrip. We got a variety of things from organic fruit, to hummus and crackers, to vegan probiotic smoothies, and of course some yummy dark chocolates. The planets were aligned for us on this visit, and we were glad.

The produce section is usually solid, and I especially want to shout out the gentleman in charge of produce--he's consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and always great to talk to. That kind of service really stands out. That said, my experiences with staff have been mixed. Some employees are kind and helpful, but others can come off as unfriendly or impatient. I'm diabetic, so I often ask detailed questions when nutritional information isn't clearly listed, especially at the juice/smoothie bar. Unfortunately, the people working there don't always seem knowledgeable about protein amounts, milk options, or fruit content, and a few times the attitude felt dismissive rather than helpful. I've also noticed that the hot bar food isn't always kept at proper temperature, which is concerning, especially for a place that emphasizes health and quality. Overall, Lassens has a lot of potential and some genuinely great employees, but consistency is an issue. Better staff training--especially around nutrition knowledge and customer service--would really improve the experience.

I have driven by it hundreds of times and never seen it before. The store seems to be comparable to Whole Foods prices. A clerk saw me looking at the supplements and offered to help me. She knew exactly where the one I wanted was. I love checking out all the low sugar or no sugar snacks. I was surprised to not see any low carb tortillas though. I bought some organic spices and pork chorizo. The spices were about $1-2 more than organic herbs and spices sold on regular grocery stores. The produce looked really nice. The Romaine lettuce was big, leafy and fresh looking for $3.99; the same price I paid for non-organic and subpar product at Red Barn Market that is close to me. It's a great little store to check out.

This store is like a combo of AJ's, Whole Foods, and other upscale markets...located in Calabasas so think pricey!!! They offer tons of organic, ethically-sourced foods, have a huge hot and cold area of fresh made foods. Their huge hot-food selection area had so many breakfast offerings to choose from. Their produce area is amazing and fabulous and the rest of the store offers so many varieties of upper scale products. It's expensive for sure but you get what you pay for! Everyone we encountered as we browsed and talked with were friendly, helpful, and really made the whole experience top notch! For breakfast we choose a few different things from the fresh food bar...bacon, potatoes, a slice of avocado toast and wife chose the baked sweet potato topped with an egg. So dang good and healthy and we felt so good not eating fast food! The avocado toast was the best I've had with smashed avocado topped with sliced hard-boiled egg and pea sprouts. The bacon was crispy and flavorful and the potatoes were great. I wish I would have taken more photos because they had so much to offer! Right off the 101 in Calabasas, this is a great break on a road trip and will satisfy anybody looking for a meal or snack. We also got some strawberries, nuts, apples, and wife got some of the Seven Ade lemonades...this brand is hard to find and she loves it when she does!
