Stopped into Jack's for breakfast during a wedding weekend, and it turned out to be exactly what you want in a small-town spot: friendly staff, hearty food, and a mix of locals and visitors. The staff knew construction workers by name, kept the energy warm, and even pulled the blinds down promptly when I asked -- little details that made me appreciate the service even more. Indoor and outdoor seating both felt comfortable, with a casual, welcoming vibe. Here's what we ordered: Dad: The pumpernickel veggie bagel sandwich was a delicious. The bagel had that satisfying chew, and the veggie-egg combo held up without getting soggy. It didn't come with cream cheese or home fries -- which would've been nice additions -- but he still enjoyed it as-is. Mom: The veggie scramble with toast and jam came loaded with mushrooms, spinach, and artichokes. The eggs could've used a touch more seasoning, but the veggie volume made it hearty. The side of salsa was a great touch, and I secretly wished my plate had come with it too. Me: I went with the ham and eggs works scramble plus a side of pancakes. The saltiness and smokiness of the ham paired well with the eggs, but honestly, the pancakes stole the show -- fluffy, golden, and served with butter and maple syrup. Easily the best bite of the morning. Next time, though, I'd love to try one of their famous bagels with cream cheese to see what the hype's about. Across our plates, the breakfast potatoes stood out most -- crisp, golden, topped with cheese, and the kind of side that ties everything together. Overall, Jack's delivers on friendliness, comfort, and those little touches that make a meal memorable. While the scrambles could use a bit more seasoning and I'd have loved salsa with mine, the potatoes, pancakes, and bagels make it a solid stop for breakfast in Carpinteria.

Pretty nice place for breakfast, good coffee and pretty resealable prices for food. We got 222 option and it has 2 eggs, choice of meat and choice of pancakes or French toast and it cost 12$. Service was nice and quick. We got sits outside and it was great and sunny day to enjoy outside patio.

Food was incredible ambiance was peaceful and quiet. I love that they serve a little of everything we had breakfast here twice on our anniversary trip. We loved all our food and drinks. I highly recommend as the food and service was just impeccable.

The service and ambiance is great too. My go-to breakfast sandwich is JACK'S B-EggL sandwich. I add bacon and jalapeños for extra flavor!! Sooo delicious!!! Highly recommend to order some VERY FRESH bagels to go too!

We stopped in on our way out of Santa Barbara specifically for the bagels, and they did not disappoint! They were so fresh and flavorful--exactly what we were hoping for. I had one of the bagel sandwiches & it was delicious! We also couldn't leave without grabbing a few fresh bagels and cream cheese to go. The indoor space is small, but they have outdoor tables which made for a perfect, casual spot to enjoy our breakfast. Our server was also very nice & helpful! Definitely worth the stop if you're a bagel lover!

We came here for breakfast. The bagels are so fresh and delicious. The location is perfect and we ate outside. The establishment was very clean and the staff is friendly. We will go back again next time we are in town. We all agreed that unless you have a large appetite the bagels can be shared. The orange juice was also so good. Fresh squeezed and cold. It was a perfect breakfast.

Where else can you get such a big full breakfast for $15 in California? The jalapeño scramble was wonderfully flavorful and delicious home fries were awesome. Couldn't finish the bagel so I took it to go. Outdoor seating is nice wide chairs and plenty of room for your dog. Service was a bit slow on a busy Saturday morning.

There is a table right at the window so you can enjoy dining/reading/sitting with an incredible and private VIEW! This time we got the only accommodation that has TWO rooms-- so it felt like a small apartment without a kitchen! It's extra spacious and allowed everyone to have their privacy. The rooms are SUPER cute! Yes, the furniture is old. Yes, it looks like grandma's house. But from someone who has stayed in luxury resorts most of the time, these charming and timeless rooms have a special place in my heart. I'm not even sure if this makes sense, but the ambiance welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel right at home. It truly feels like I came to grandmas house. It feels so familiar and I know for a fact, staying here is healing my inner child each time. We all know the views are absolutely incredible-- I mean... breakfast buffet overlooking the cliffs AND you can watch surfers and dolphins in the distance while you enjoy your food? Can't get better than that. You can go visit the shore during low tide or walk over to the pier that leads to an island! This hotel is tucked away from the city and I absolutely love the seclusion. Although it's right next to the highway, staying here feels like stepping into a peaceful parallel universe-- the world still moves on the other side of the wall, but you're suspended in your own quiet, dreamlike bubble until it's time to return to reality. The service is too notch! She has gone out of her way to accommodate us and never made any request feel like it was too much or an inconvenience. If you thought this place couldn't get any better, it DOES-- they have a Restaurant that serves lunch and dinner!!! Let me stop before I write a novel. This has literally become my favorite hotel.

I got the green chile scramble with toast and hashbrowns, and I feel like that's a pretty simple brunch, but I was in heaven. Great food. My only complaints were that my iced tea just tasted like water, and there were no toilet liners in the restroom. My parents are older and get cold easily, so we sat next to the fire pit. It turns off suddenly and we request it to please be turned back on as it's overcast and barely noon, and a waitress who hasn't been near us in 20 minutes says she smelled gas just now and had to turn it off. Translation: cheap management saw the sun coming out and wanted to save money. There was no gas smell. So classless. Even when we mentioned it again and asked, the glazed-eyes looking girl gave a slight remix of her "unfortunately umm due to me umm smelling gas umm we are not able to turn it back onnnnn." Is everyone who works here on meds or something? Coffee was terrible and watered-down, and simple premade sandwiches took 20 minutes to heat in a panini press and bring out. Food was very mediocre and my "poached" egg was basically hard boiled. The food tastes much better when you order online, probably because they actually know you have a set time limit to pick it up so they make it fresh and with effort. They just dgaf if you're seated, I guess. Just go to Lucky Llama guys.

Hubby said the ratio filling wasn't there; HB burnt, verde flavor so so. I had the relleno omelette, wasn't the worst but my obriens were extra and were hella burnt, didn't really have any soft potatoes to eat. Sister said scramble wasn't great either, underwhelming flavor. My homemade jam looked weird and like it was frozen previously maybe; like chunky and watery not like picture on Yelp. Coffee was bitter. Charged us for using CC, which I feel like it's a business cost, shouldn't be customers (personal opinion across the board). And then an added a 20% gratuity for 6 ppl. Pretty high percent to assume it's deserving. Maybe 15-18% with the option to leave extra is more appropriate. Would've had it removed but family was ready to go and over it. Wouldn't have stiffed her of course, she was very kind and friendly. Just not quite a 20% auto gratuity experience. I don't think we even got a happy Father's Day from anyone.. Didn't feel like we were checked on, couldn't have the jam or potatoes fixed, just saw her at the beginning and end. my daughter did say later that she came once, but apparently the rest of us 5 missed it.
