In general the bread was tasteless, as well as the meat and cheese. ( sliced turkey and provolone) If the turkey wad smoked as in Boarshead, and the provolone was imported I could see coming close to this pricing. Had a $2 off coupon. Picked a regular #16. What an experience! Couldn't get out of there fast enough. It was busy. Understandable, but some of the workers were ridiculously forward and rude! One worker was a total jerk and made fun of me figuring out what to have. Excuse me for asking questions to pick what is best. Awful! Ended up getting the #16 with no mayo on wheat. It took a while to get out of there to get my order and literally ran! ‍ Plus, the place was a mess! Stuff on the counter tops. Gross! Took the sandwich home. It was okay. Had nothing, but cheese and chicken. Barely any jalapeños too. I asked for extra and that wasn't given. They were not fresh either! Definitely disappointed! Needed more veggies and there was very little chicken. The cheese pretty much took over all of it. Disappointed with all of it from the service to the sandwich! I haven't been here in awhile and notices some new faces. So I ordered a giant custom big kahuna with extra steak and veggies and I told them to put lettuce and tomatoes. My second order I got a giant club supreme the Mikes way with extra pickles. So when I got home I notice that they forgot to put the lettuce and tomatoes on my custom big Kahuna. Todays bread tasted not fresh it tasted like semi microwave bread taste and some of the steaks today tasted kinda off. Today it wasn't that busy at all and they still manage to mess up on my order. My one star is more for the store manager. We eat at this Jersey Mike's 3-4 times per month and they are usually correct or close to correct. I ordered two subs on Sunday, March 27 at 1:25. Once I received my Club Sub (18) I found that it had no bacon or cheese and only a little turkey. I called the manager and explained the situation and she asked me for a picture. I laid out the sandwich, sent her the picture and she pointed out what she thought was the cheese. I replied that it was the texture of the turkey, not the cheese. She sent me back a picture of the cheese and the turkey. Comparing the two pictures you can see that the cheese is round and white but what she is calling cheese on my sandwich is square and not white. So for the hassle of eating a boiled ham sandwich, I got 10% off my next order and labeled a liar. I think I will go with Jimmy Johns next time. read more

This is my favorite spot to get lunch. I'm from NY so seeing that all I had to say was make it Mike's Way to get it exactly as I wanted it made me so happy My daughter and I have been going in since the day it opened. This is the only place my 19yo son wants to get his BLT. We've tried all the other hero-type sandwich places around and this one beats them all. Using a Shore Points account to accumulate points with each purchase means lots of free sandwiches for us. And the bonus of a free birthday sandwich is something I usually look forward to. Both Matt and Shay are our favorite people at this store. They're both friendly, helpful and know what we want before we're fully in the door! Matt even knew my name & order before I knew his name. How can anyone screw up a Philly Cheese? If you're making subs at a Sub shop and cant even do this job right, there is no hope for you. After saying this, they screwed up my Sub totally. This is a habit at this shop, so check your orders before you leave, or like me you might get screwed. There was absolutely ZERO peppers, very skimpy on the cheese and hardly any onions. All this for two Subs for $25.00. I had to go home and use my jalapenos and pickled carrots because there was just the extra meat I had ordered and the roll, which would of made a very boring sub. The meat was very tasteless, as I think they didn't use any or very little seasoning. The cashier asked me if I wanted a drink and/or chips and after the 3rd time I raised my voice and "NO". The she says, "You dont have to yell" and I said "I beg to differ from you, If you would of heard me the first two times that I told you No, I wouldnt of had to yell the third time you asked me". I dont think she was paying attention to me to tell you the truth, which is why she had to ask me three times. Like my sub, the attention for detail was lacking big time. My Bottom line. Will I go back? Hell no. I doubt this sub shop will remain open for to long. I asked for "the works" and they gave me a double-wham o lol Had they made my sub right, I may of came back again, but with me, first time impressions go real far with me. REVIEW: Jersey Mike's Kicks the Other Guys Butts in the Giant Sandwiches Eureka, I found a nice mix of customer service, great food and good value, but I had to drive to Fresno to get it. After a very horrible experience at a Madera sandwich shop that shall remain freakishly unnamed, my wife and I decided to hit the road and we found Jersey Mikes at the El Paseo Shopping Center at the corner of Herndon Avenue and Riverside. The first thing we noticed was that at 8pm there were customers both sitting at the tables eating and customers waiting in line to have sandwiches made. When it was our turn to get our sandwiches made the girls behind the counter were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We told them we had never been in before and they walked us through the process. What we ended up with was two great big GIANT sandwiches with piles of meat and toppings. While their GIANT was not 16 inches, it was packed and weighed three times more than the GIANT at Jimmy Johns, and is currently on a limited time special - buy one and get a second for five dollars. I ordered an Italian, on which I was actually able to get yellow mustard and wax peppers. We were going to add avocados to my wife's sandwich but that topping was going to be an extra three bucks. This would be my only complaint. The avocados were more here than they are at Chipotles. Of course, avocados are a little outrageous everywhere right now. But when we got the sandwiches opened at home, we realized these things didn't need any more toppings of any kind. The sandwiches were cut into four pieces and I could only eat half of mine. My wife only ate a quarter of her sandwich. So we both have lunch for tomorrow. This is the sandwich shop we need in Madera. Keep your plethora of Subway's or the freaky chintzy Jimmy Johns. This place is good enough to fit right in as another option when you are tired of Deli Delicious or Togo's. I think I would even put this place's ingredients against the Sub Shop Deli on R Street near the HOPY intersection in Madera. That's saying something because the SSD was the sandwich I grew up on in the 80's and has always been my favorite. As great as these two sandwiches were, the thing that made this experience so pleasant were the two employees. They showed us our choice of bread and what the sizes were. Giant was the only way to go and these ladies put more meat on these things than I have ever seen on a chain sub. Then they showed us the pickles. Oh my G**, there is another place that says they have the world's greatest pickles. They lied, because I have tasted the best pickles and they come from Jersey Mikes. They are freakishly sour and crunchy. If you are looking for a really freakishly great GIANT sandwich you need to take the 9.6 mile drive to Jersey Mikes in Northwest Fresno. And when you get there you might even want to try Chronic Taco's which is right next door. It is better than Chipotle with better price points. But that's a topic for a future review. read more

Came in here with my hispanic family, and as soon as we walked in the vibe was instantly off. The workers weren't making eye contact with us, but yet we're smiling at their other white guests. As one of the workers with glasses was making our sandwiches, she stopped helping us to help a white man who got there after us (mind you she was not making eye contact or even trying to be nice the entire time she interacted with us). My family and I started looking at each other appalled that the worker just blatantly decided to skip over us to help the white man (who she was smiling and being kind to). This was an awful reminder that unfortunately racism still exists. If you're a POC don't give this establishment your money. read more

Very disappointed in my visit to this location. I hope they clean it up. The lettuce when I came in was yellow and when asked if there was anything fresher ones, I was told "no that's all we have". Then to price gouge you for a large sandwich for $15 I could have gotten a bunch of crappy sandwiches from Subways and the lettuce probably would have been fresher or gone to a bunch of other choice places and fed a family on $15. Needless to say, this visit is going to tarnish my view of this company. All is takes is one to ruin it for the rest. Anything this is a newer location and to already be in this situation, maybe this place is on the verge of closing shop. I hope I'm wrong and maybe there just needs to be a better quality controller. Always love coming here thanks to Matt and Lilly being on your team. I came in 10min early for my order and Matt wanted it to be fresh when I arrived so he didn't start it yet. He quickly jumped up and did it without hesitation. Lilly kept me entertained by kindly making small jokes about Matt (I knew them from the previous Blackstone store they worked at) so it made me feel like I was very welcome.
