This place is under new ownership and has gotten way worse. The machine they use to slice the meat is very nasty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The lettuce and tomatoes that were out looked old and just the overall service was bad. The guy making the sandwich cut entirely way too much meat for my sub and I had to have him take some off. He acted like he had never made a sub before. I asked for it Mikes way and had to tell him what to put on it. I asked for the sub toasted and he barely toasted it. He put way too much oil and vinegar on the sub so by the time I got home to eat it it was soggy and just very sloppy. I love jersey mikes but this location is not it. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. Let's start with management, they suck. They don't care about their employees much less the customers. It really shows through the employees too, because they all have nasty attitudes. If I were gonna spend $10+ on a sub, I'd rather go to firehouse where the employees are nice and the food is always great. It's my first time coming and the service was pretty bad. They were backed up with other orders, the wait was crazy. They also kept getting orders wrong causing people to leave. The staff was extremely unorganized and unprepared for the customers they had. I waited well over 30 minutes for my food. Just a bad experience, don't think I'll return. read more

I went to Jersey Mike's with my family and the food was good but the customer service was horrible. We ordered our food and then we were told we could not get drinks &chips until we got our sandwiches! I did not feel well so I asked for a cup for a drink & was given a water cup even though we were getting the Tuesday special with chips & a drink. I LOVE this particular Jersey Mike's!!! It's amazing that others might not know it is here! Their sandwiches are so tasty, and the tomatoes and veggies are always fresh (the tomatoes are organic, so I have been told) and are mouthwatering! This store's ambiance is much better than others I have tried, and one can actually carry on a conversation. The tea is always delicious, with fresh lemon available. Not only are their sandwiches and salads outstanding, the bread is to die for. The staff are well-trained, and are always welcoming and friendly. I had the worse experience ever at this store. I watched the manager (Rhonda) of the store wipe down everything from the bottles of condiments to the slicing machine to lastly the cutting board where my sandwich was placed with a visible soiled (filthy) cloth. After inquiring about it the manager loudly explained her filthy cloth was stored in disinfecting solution (like that's suppose to be much better). She then proceeds to ring me up and snatches my card out of my hand and threw my receipt on the counter and walked off. To make it worse the other employee who made my sandwich was loudly verbally disciplined for being friendly and trying to please the customer. I have eaten here probably 5-6 times over the past 2 months. The foot itself is good however the service is awful! It always takes way too long, always mess something up. I watched a guy make 4 wrong sandwiches today immediately after taking the order. The lady who I believe was managing decided she would just scold him and stand over his shoulder while he corrected them instead of switching places and let him ring them up while she makes them. The worst customer service ever. When my husband asked to substitute provolone cheese for the white American that comes on a philly cheese steak, which We have done MANY times, was told it was a $2.50 extra charge - to CHANGE the cheese NOT ADD more cheese - how ridiculous - & what a ridiculous price. Five people working & they all said it was "company policy". Finally one worker spoke up & said it was a $1.50 up charge so my husband told them to add to the already made sandwich - it was disgusting. Shouldn't a sandwich company know what kind of cheese is used on a philly cheese steak?? It's NOT white American!! And why charge to make a cheese substitution - provolone does not cost more than White American. Jersey Mike's needs a "policy change " & workers who know what the ridiculous up charge is. Words CANNOT describe how DISGUSTED I am with the customer service I received from owner/operator Rhonda Gibbs! Very unprofessional and this is NOT the first encounter! I see I'm not the only person that has had an unpleasant encounter with her. I'm not surprised though! I'm more surprise there aren't more poor reviews regarding her customer service! This place consistently is slow. Food is fresh but staff would rather entertain themselves than wait on the clients. Waited 25 min on a sandwich. Time before called in order. Put me on hold. Drove 25 minutes to the store and the phone was still on hold. Placed order after arrival. At least this place is consistent. Consistantly poor service. This has to be at least one of the worst JM stores in existence. I tried to use a legitimate, corporate generated coupon that was emailed to me, that are region specific by zip code, and just like I've gotten on numerous occasions in the past. From what appeared to be the manager, she refused to take the coupon stating that she did not know how to make it work and that it was invalid. The way she addressed this situation was embarrassing to me in front of my daughter and other customers. To me, if I was the business owner/manager and to achieve outstanding customer service, I would have figured out a way to honor the coupon. Instead, she chose to let me and my daughter walk out the store. (After making two subs) So instead of a coupon priced order of $16 as opposed to a regular priced order of $22, this location has lost a regular customer over 6 bucks. Very Uppity management/ownership. Hopefully the Devine street location will be renovated and back in operation soon. It being right around the corner from us is much more convenient anyway. read more
