A Godzilla of a chicken burrito
    Jenai D.

My husband found this place one day to pick-up burritos after his soccer game. Since that day this place has been our go-to for burritos when we don't feel like cooking or our schedules are busy. This really is a miracle because my husband and I have different opinions on what a burrito should taste like (I like the SoCal version of burritos, he likes the NorCal versions). Somehow this place works for both of us and never disappoints. Their burritos are MASSIVE and are a pretty great deal considering I can get a dinner AND 2 lunch meals out of one burrito. For comparison, my husband gets 1 lunch leftover so depending on your size and appetite you may get more or less leftovers. But the burritos are so huge that we don't bother to try and pick them up - we go straight for the fork and knife lol We typically get chicken as our meat of choice and I will sometimes add lettuce and beans in mine. Already looking forward to the next burrito... :)

A little family whole in the wall but I love their food. They're consistent everytime I visit. So far I've tried their fish ceviche, street tacos and lengua burrito. All soo good and a lot of food. Their service is great, no complaints. They accept cash and card (with a fee). I usually call in my orders and pick up so it's faster.

    Carne asada burrito

Delicious burrito. This hole in the wall tucked inside a strip mall is exactly what I look for when I'm craving Mexican food. The carne asada they use is so tender and flavorful. The burrito is big and the salsa is good too. Burrito comes with chips which is a nice touch as well. The cashier and serves are all so kind and welcoming. I'm so happy I found this spot and will definitely be back! Tip: they accept cards but cash is preferred

    Supreme Burrito

OMG, this is the best burrito I've ever had in my life. Everything about it is perfect lots of meat, delicious ripe avocado inside, and caramelized onions. And while I was waiting for my order, they treated me to freshly made corn chips and homemade salsa, which were so good. I absolutely love this place and highly recommend trying the Supreme Burrito.

How is this a crispy chicken taco

Never again! $38 for wet chicken tacos! They were supposed to be crispy! Make them crispy...as advertised.

Got the California burrito ($14) and you get your moneys worth, it's massive. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Pros: Tortilla is solid/grilled, cheese is plentiful and melty, guac is good. Cons: Um...the carne asada isn't steak? It's like a pulled beef texture and taste OK. They clearly use a super cheap cut and pass it off as "carne asada" but it def isn't steak. It reminds of the microwaveable kind you get at supermarket. Overall, a fine burrito and the quality is there for non protein ingredients. Just idk if I'll be back.

Come here for the food. Stay for Pepe! I'd always driven by this place & finally ventured in. Pepe is the sweetest man. The menu is expansive and you can't go wrong with anything you order here. It being my first time, I got one of everything haha A few tacos. An enchilada side order. And the Baileys Flan--comes highly recommended by Pepe! He's so proud that he said you can bring it back if you don't like it! There is a very small parking lot but plenty of nearby street parking.

    Not good Asada Fries

Please do better with your asada fries or just take them off the menu. Sorry but this dish was well below average and I've had asada fries from many different places.

I usually have only good things to say about Pepe's. Been ordering the two crispy taco plate for takeout for years. Tonight my chicken was a disaster. First I bit int a bone, then looked at the chicken in my taco. It was really nasty. Disappointing tonight.

This is your local neighbor authentic as it gets mexican food. It's located in a little strip mall easy to find yet easy to miss because it's right off the intersection. This place has been here or years and it never disappoints. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. It's a small place with minimal inside seating. It's clean. They have an extensive menu with a variety of options. If you're looking for quick and easy mexican food then look no further. A must try if you haven't already.

Best Mexican food and horchata ever. I would say my son agrees Staff are super friendly!

We live down the street from Pepe's and I was in the mood for something new. I told my best friend I wanted finger fruit, but I was afraid of how much would come into the nachos. Little that I know, this would be one of the fullest plates I've ever experienced. On top of that the best staff you can find at a restaurant, I appreciate you guys.

The famous Tostadas! The small ones.

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience.
