Went to this location to order my usual. 10 pieces with 2 sides and the person who was gonna take my order said that they don't do 10 pieces anymore when I always get the same thing. Then another guy took over and said the same thing. I then said "ok, let me just do the 12 pieces" he said ok. I said I only wanted to do 2 sides and he said that's fine, but was still charging me for the third side. I always go to my local location on Sepulveda and national and always order the 10 piece Meal, I don't understand why they said that this option was not in their system anymore if other locations does. I love EPL. Been going for years. Ordered the 10piece legs and thighs today. Very bad. It's overcooked or been sitting too long . And this was picked up at 5:30 so probably been sitting too long . Went to the drive thru tonight around 7pm. Ordered the pollo bowl combo. In the picture I saw it came with tortilla chips. The employee asked me what kind of tortillas I wanted I told him flour. I come home, I bag my dinner and no chips, no tortillas. On my receipt it says flour tortillas. It not conducive for me to go back there as I live a bit far from this location. Went to this location felt a weird vibe as soon as I got out the car a older employee was on the phone outside and gave me a dirty look. I go inside to order the girl behind the counter gave me a dirty look. I ordered a chicken quesadia. They gave me something that resembled a torta inside a tortilla. I have used this location many times before, OVER THE YEARS, pretty much without incident, not that they are that terrific, but never worth getting upset about. This evening at 6 pm I ordered three items; two burritos and a tostada salad. I called twice because the order usually gets to my house quickly because I live two blocks away. I would have picked it up but opted for delivery after a long day. Well, the order NEVER got here. I called twice, once a 7:20 and again at 7:45. The night manager is worthless, as she suggested I could pick up the order, even though she said it had already been picked up, or cancel it on the website. Of course, I had already paid for the order, the delivery fee, and a tip for the driver - AND THERE IS NOT WAY TO CANCEL THE ORDER ON THE WEBSITE, BY THE WAY!!! I will not be back. I also canceled the order with my American Express card. On August 18, I received an update saying that El Pollo Loco said they had fulfilled the order, so the money would be rebilled to my account. NOT ONLY did I NOT get my food, but the night manager Adriana, LIED. I NEVER RECEIVED THE ORDER. I hope they have more fun talking to my attorneys than they do lying to American Express and me. read more

I love El Pollo Loco chicken to start with, great food, tasty, and reasonably priced. But this is the best location by far. The owner is amazing. Super friendly, remembers return customers and their order, always makes it a great experience. Don't worry if there's a long line at lunchtime, this is also the most efficient fast food I've been to. They manage to get people in and out in record time. If you're in the area I strongly recommend it for a lunch or dinner stop. read more

This place is close to where I live The crazy thing is I've had really crappy experiences here like coming in 7 minutes before they close and them telling me that they could not serve me.... I've had Bones in burritos That's why I choose to only order a chicken bowl from here So I can see everything! This Pollo Loco has the worst chef and manager during the Night Shift. I worked all day, and an upon my arrival I mention please to do not serve me dry chicken And that i wanted warm tacos Al carbon . Totally a bad luck and a course to have this careless people in charge of my food. My tacos were skinny and cold I mention this to the supposed manager and she make me believe she was fixing this however upon my arrival home my tacos were the skinniest almost no chicken. Worst restaurant in marina del Rey careless employees!!! and the worst management !!! on the Night Shift - shame on you my tacos were so dry the tortillas were breaking while trying to eat this terrible food !!! Whether you going to the drive-through or getting in line inside you will get waited on pretty quickly which is surprising because it gets very busy. Worst Service Possible by the manger at this pollo loco. I had Ordered my food thru the pollo app and they only deliver half my order and I still got charged for the delivery fees. The worst part is that I call them to ask what was going on with my order and they told me that I had to go pick the other half up if I wanted it. And So they made me waste money on delivery fees and as well money on gas just so my family could eat some food. Surprisingly bad quality of food served at this location. The 12-piece family meal was placed online and included everything as requested however the chicken (thighs mainly) were all over-cooked, or second day product. I wouldn't think they reheated food from the previous day and served to their customers but that's exactly how it tasted. When I save properly cooked El Pollo loco and eat leftovers the next day-it's exactly the same. We ate what we could because we brought it home for dinner and didn't have time to go back and ask for a replacement. But really only 3 or 4 pieces were edible. This used to be the best El Pollo Loco in the area in my opinion and I will probably give them another chance, but I would not recommend others to go here any more. Hope this helps. read more

I've been to many El Pollo Locos and they're all more or less the same, however as other reviewers have noted, this location stands head and shoulders above the rest. For starters, the entire place is in very good condition from top to bottom, and also very clean. In particular, the salsa bar at most restaurants end up very messy with salsa splattered everywhere and all over the spoons, but they make sure that it is always nice and neat. The drink station is also kept clean and well maintained. The thing that really makes them stand out though is their staff. Not only are they efficient (Sometimes I'll place my order, go to fill up my drink, and by the time I'm putting a straw in my cup my order will already be ready) they are very courteous and friendly. They greet everyone warmly and it's not just the cursory half smile that you get at a lot of places, but the staff seems genuinely welcoming. On top of that, if you eat in store, someone actually comes around with a tray of condiments, napkins, etc. and asks if you need anything. It's amazing! I don't live as close to this location as I use to which makes me sad because no other fast food restaurant comes close to this type of service. read more

So, after posting my last review about being given the wrong order in the drive through, including tapatio french fries that burned my mouth and caused an allergic reaction, causing me to reach for the large beverage I purchased that didn't have the lid completely on, spilling all over the center console in my new BMW, still getting the run around from El Pollo Loco! Jessica suggested I reach out to their customer service to remedy the situation, so, I did. Unfortunately, El Pollo Loco doesn't give a damn about consumers! The manager on duty being apologetic when I went back and corrected the order, but, by then the damage was done. I was without a car for three days, had to go to Urgent Care to be treated for the allergic reaction I had to the spicy french fries consumed and ultimately had to pay almost $1,400 to pick up my car at BMW Santa Monica, where they confirmed the liquid that seeped into the center console shorted my car out (service manager provided me photos of the damage as proof). I'd love to be able to post a positive update; however, not possible because despite my efforts and El Pollo Loco pretending to actually care, they don't! I contacted customer service multiple times as instructed, provided details, receipts and photos and was provided a case number, but, have been given the run around for months, likely in hopes of me not pursuing this. Well, that's not going to happen and unfortunately, now I've had to get my attorney involved because they chose to avoid resolving this situation amicably. Please know that if you have ANY issues with El Pollo Loco, don't expect them to offer decent customer service or even pretend, because apparently they're not capable of doing so. It's truly a shame that they choose not to step up, like other reputable companies have, especially during this trying, chaotic time when consumers have enough to deal with everyday. The actual food is GOOD; however, they often have shorted my pick-up orders. I need to untie the bag or rip it apart to open and then again today, missing my pozole and guacamole sides. Also no pick-up line inside so, at this location anyway, you still have to wait in the ordering line...wtf? I really need to order elsewhere but as I said, the actual food is good. BTW zero way to fix unless you drive back over there and I'm not doing that. No way to make any claim using their app. Have to go online and fill out a long form that nobody ever seems to respond to. The top half of the burrito was all rice and the bottom half was all beans, rather than all the ingredients being mixed together evenly. And tonight I ordered a Classic Chicken Burrito, but it was mostly beans and rice, with only a small sliver of chicken at the top half and another small sliver in the bottom half. It was a complete waste of the difference in cost between this and a BRC. I'm no longer going to order burritos from this location. read more

El Pollo Loco never disappoints chicken is always moist and tender and very tasty. I had a side salad with cilantro dressing to which I added Pico de Gallo and creamy cheesy Mac and cheese. The store was clean, salsa bar was clean and the service I received from the crew was very good. The only downside to visit was the Dr. Pepper dispenser was out. read more
