I finally gave Tito's Tacos a try after seeing all the hype on social media, and overall, it definitely lived up to it. The tacos were really good crispy, fresh, and satisfying. The only thing I'd say is the meat could use a little more seasoning or salt, but even with that, I still enjoyed them. I also tried the enchilada, which was decent, nothing mind-blowing but still solid. What really stood out to me was the burrito (I can't remember if it was beef or chicken), but it was SO good definitely something I'll be ordering again next time. The setup there is super organized, which I appreciated. It's very clear where to order and pick up, and they even have security helping guide the flow of the line, which makes everything run smoothly. There's a nice amount of indoor and outdoor seating, so it doesn't feel too crowded. Service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long at all for my food. My go-to were two tacos with cheese and a bean and cheese burrito (I would use some of the bean and cheese from the burrito for the chips). Today, I happened to be in WLA and decided to revisit TT. Instead of my go-to, I only got one taco with cheese. After all these years, it's still the same. You got the hard, crunchy taco shell with nicely flavored shredded beef, sliced lettuce and medium-sized grated cheese. I would consider the salsa as mild. Solid food for what it is. Fried tacos. Guac sauce and chips and salsa. This is not Javier's or an upscale taco joint. It's dirty tacos. So go for it expecting that. $5.95 for a taco is a little pricey but it is what it is in today's day and age. The guac sauce was ok but a necessity and but the salsa was fresh tasting and free jalapeño hot sauce was great. The service is mehhhh. Nobody going out of their way to may you feel valued and the inside food seating was a little dirty but again, what do you expect! I'm Mexican so I have to denounce this, the tortilla is plain no flavor and not even fried correctly, its a terrible, uneven texture. The meat is not seasoned and the vegetables do not offer any sort of fresh taste.. The chips were OK, but the salsa was not spicy and tasted like jarred tomatoes... staff was friendly, but I will never come back and i dont recommend anyone visit this places. It's been awhile since I updated my review even though I have eaten there several times since my last review. Inflation has seemed to affected many businesses including Tito's Tacos. I remember when the taxis were larger, more lettuce and cheese. Over the years I noticed there are less ingredients in Tacos. I still like the crunch of the tacos and the Chips. It's been a while since I've been to the iconic Tito's Tacos. I never thought it was that good, or why so many people rave about it. They always seem to have a steady stream of customers so maybe I'm the odd man out regarding Tito's tastiness. I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd give it another chance. First off, they have plenty of free parking, so that's a big plus. The woman who took our order was really nice. You place your order and then stand back on the sidewalk and wait for them to shout your number. It works. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We wanted to sit indoors, but the fan was so loud we couldn't even hear each other. There are picnic benches in both the front and the back. I had a bean and cheese burrito. $8.45, and my friend had a meat, bean, and cheese burrito. $11.60. My friend described the burrito perfectly. She said it was "gooey." Mine was too. It's gooey refried beans and cheese with an odd texture. The tortilla that wrapped it was excellent. Soft and chewy, so it was a combination of gooey and chewy! I love Titos and no improvement necessary EXCEPT for the inconsiderate employee who cleans up the tables at 7:30pm to 7:59pm. He drags the metal table base across the floors causing a screeching piercing sound. Tonight, a lot of customers appeared to be agitated by by his behavior. They lived in the westside while I grew up in the valley. My taste palettes grew up on other food items so at first glance Tito's isn't it for me. I've been coming here since 1980. This used to be my grandma's and my mom's SPOT!! Where $10 went a loooong way. Well I haven't been out this was for a while and wanted to hit up the spot! A lot has changed from the once jammed packed restaurant to a more corporate approach. No more multi lines inside amd outside. Just 1 line outside. The prices are RIDICULOUS too high! Also, the size of the burrito has gotten smaller. 2 burritos 6 tacos and 1 large salsa $120. Then the new guy, not one of the "tias" took my order and messed it up completely. Came here during my hideous to our plus weight at the DMV a few blocks away from here in Culver city. Now this review will be relatively brief, keeping in mind that all things are relevant-and that few, if any establishments are immune to the passing of time. Simply put, as a damn near 30 plus year resident of Culver city, I'm well aware that this place is a virtual landmark and also holds cultural significance to Culver City proper. Truth be told, I wasn't that hungry, but was bored stiff as a result of the long line I had been waiting for, and still had in front of me at the dmv. And so one or two tacos can't hurt right? The tacos were good. Now I wouldn't necessarily certainly do backflips over them, (but my take on things are slightly biased since I've been here in Culver City so long and kind of judge them at what I remember the tacos tasting like when I was in my teens, 20s, 30s, and so on). But assuming you're closing in on the half century mark on this dear Earth of ours,what product, place or person is what it used to be right? Being that this is the beginning of the week, and after the lunch rush, and before the evening crowd, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. All in all a solid experience! Got my order from Tito's it felt light so I checked it, NO salsa. Walk back like hey there's no salsa the security lady (so nice) checks says you're right. Calls over a worker he checks again gives us the large salsa that's missing. Doesn't offer any compensation and by that I mean hey our bad sorry about that nothing. I'm like you're not gonna offer any thing for messing up. He's like no. I said not even like a little extra salsa? He's said I have to ask my manager. The manager asks how long it's been since we got the order. I said does that matter? He offers me the smallest salsa they have. I took it. I will say that I liked the salsa here a lot. It was pretty thin but had the grainy texture of tomato that I liked! My boyfriend say videos of Tito's Tacos on You-Tube. We happened to be in LA for the day and saw the sign, so we decided to spontaneously stop in for a snack. They had their own parking lot, but there was definitely a line for the food. We ordered 2 Tito's Tacos with Cheese ($5.95/each). They provide complimentary chips and salsa with all orders. They had a comfortable interior seating area and also seats outdoors. The seating was well maintained with a designated staff that came around and gave each table a through sweep and wipe down as each table left. I was SO IMPRESSED by her cleaning. She got that edges of the tables too, which are usually missed. I was watching her in awe the whole time at how on top of things she was. When the tacos were ready, we were really excited to try them. The shells were extra crispy and there was a good amount of beef and cheese filling... However taste wise it's probably just a smidge better than Taco Bell. Definitely not worth the price tag... That don't mean they aren't old school - Tito's has been making them this way since before you were born (1959). Everything is local. Tortillas made especially for them - and these are some thicc ones. The crunch on the shells is serious and takes more than a "nibble" approach (this ain't no Taco Bell shell)! The beef is slow cooked and tender. They come with lettuce (cheese or no) and salsa. It's all processed daily, locally, so is the very definition of fresh. Can you get salsas with more depth (and heat)? Yes. Do they have both red and green? Yes. Are either worth arm wrestling over the last of as you plow thru the last of the (also thicc) tortilla chips - yep. (This won't have to happen if you there - they'll refill your salsas ) Just go. The taco was juicy and tasty with meat, lettuce, and cheese. The tostada was loaded with plenty of lettuce and small amount of cheese. I've been coming here for years. My dad used to bring me, and it was always good. Unfortunately, not anymore. Prices have gone up, which I understand. Everything is expensive now. But that doesn't mean the quality should drop like this. $11.40 for a small burrito with barely any meat? The chips were cold and stale, and a large guacamole was $14! More than the burrito itself! It's just not worth it. Service was even worse! I came in at 7:30 and they were already cleaning. By 7:45, I was told I had only 15 minutes left. I was almost done, but a couple who had just sat down were being rushed to finish. That same employee told another group they couldn't stay in the dining area--this was at 7:50 PM (see photo below) he was also waiting around our table to start cleaning as soon as we finished. This made us and the other group feel rushed, even though food was still being sold outside. It's clear that getting customers out is prioritized over actually serving them. If you don't want people dining in after a certain time, just say it clearly! Don't keep selling food until 8 and then rush customers or make them eat outside. We're paying, not asking for free food. This place used to be good, but not anymore. Now it feels like they only care about money and closing fast, not the people coming in. That's how you lose customers, even loyal ones. Craved some crunch tacos and happy I got to thru these for the first time. I prefer the tacos without the shredded cheese because I prefer cheese melted. The shredded beef has enough juice and held up well inside the shell. The bean and cheese burrito was simple but tasty. They give you a ton of chips and salsa, I just wish the salsa was spicier. Came in on a Sunday night and ordered at the window. The food took about 5 minutes. They have a lid of other items on the menu like tamales (even veggie ones).
