By far the best thing about Jersey Mike's is the classic oil and vinegar combination that they embellish their cold subs with. The turkey sub is my favorite but you definitely can't go wrong by mixing and matching your own. You can customize your sandwich however you like. 8:20pm... the open sign is turned off, the grill is apparantly closed as well as the employee is already scrubbing away at it 40 minutes before closing.. guess these kids really want to leave at 9:00 on the dot. Man I was looking forward to their reuben... So instead of ordering multiple sandwiches off the menu, we had to settle for 1. An italian drenched with oil and vinegar and maaaaaaaaaaayooooooooo. We asked for mayo on both sides of the bread. We're glad that the employee obliged but he ended up spreading a jar of mayo on each side so when he tried to cut the sandwich all the meat slid out. The best part was when tried to pick up the meat and bread that slid off and tried to put it back on, covering the whole sandwich with mayo, then wiping it all over his apron lol. He stared at it... i stared at him staring at it... My wife had to hold in her laughter while I stood there in awe as he tried to hand us a bag that was also covered in mayo. Tasteless and not appealing. I ordered a roast beef and swiss cheese and the meat was bland and tasted awful plus there was one very thinly slice of cheese and barely a piece of tomato. The manager told me the meat is no longer prepared in house and agreed that it was not as good as it used to be when it was cooked in house. The sandwich was crushed and looked like crap (see photos). I was yearning for this sandwich and was very disappointed. Food is same as old JM stores, good subs most of the time. Grouchy woman taking orders ruined the experience by snapping at me several times for no reason. Then she gave me my order less one sub. Online ordering advertises "regular" as enough for 1 - 2 people, but my regular-sized sub was only 60% filling for me: more of a large snack than a full meal. Subway and Wawa offer full 10-inch sandwiches at the same price point that Jersey Mike's charges for a premium "mini"-sized sub. Compared to local competitors, Jersey Mike's comes out ahead in quality but not in quantity. Back story, I've purchased from this location 6 times in the past year, all through the Jersey Mike's app. Each time the order was correct, although it was never ready and waiting even after time indicated. I wasn't put out enough to complain, as I liked the convenience of online ordering. Last night after shopping we stopped in for cheesesteaks. The hours on both the internet and Jersey Mike's app indicated closing time of 9pm. We walked in at 8:32 and we were advised that the grill closed at 8:30. It had obviously been cleaned WAY before that time. I can only think that they believe it's worth staying open in that last half hour to catch those patrons that are hungry enough to order cold subs rather than go elsewhere. Their subs here are not stingy at all. They pile on the meat and toppings just like an old school deli shop would. Nothing like a subway where you only get two-three thin slices of meat. Ordered the Chipotle Cheesesteak and the Club Supreme. Had to wait for the hot sandwich to be made but that wasn't long. The sizes are very reasonable since they give you so much in the sub. The cheesesteak was beyond delicious. It had so much cheese oh my gosh. It was super flavorful as well. I have to get another one soon! The club supreme was good. I didn't get to try it but it looked delicious. Prices are reasonable too. I didn't understand the fact that the card machine asks for a tip when you swipe. I just recently came from lunch at Jersey Mike's and while the food is good, the slow service, cost, and attitude of many of the employees brings the rating down a notch. Like many of their other locations, Jersey Mike's makes freshly cut deli subs from a variety of meats, cheeses, and toppings. My party had the turkey, roast beef, and Italian subs and thought that overall the food was very good and decently sized...4 stars. However, it is everything else about this place which takes away from the good food. Number 1 is the cost. At either 7.25-8.25 for a regular sized sub, this place is much more expensive then nearby Tastee Sub and Jersey Mike's food does not deserve to command such a cost premium over its competitors. While Tastee Sub has a variety of breads and styles of meat to choose from, Jersey Mike's only provides 1 style of each cut of meat and 1 universal bread. Additionally, Tastee Sub has a similar service style which works much faster and is more efficient then the slow service given at Jersey Mike's...minus 1 star. The biggest knock against this place however is from the staff. During my visit, service staff came off as rude and arrogant to all customers and while they were willing to make certain substitutions to orders, they refused to do so for others right behind them. In my instance specifically, the man in front of me got his roast beef sandwich toasted and when I asked for the same exact preparation. the staffer mentioned " I am not allowed to do that sir". Please don't lie to my face when I ask for a simple request that I both heard being asked for and saw being completed for the man in front of me...minus 1 star. Overall. while this place has promise in the food department. It's rude service and premium pricing do not deserve to claim your hard earned dollars. There's not one time I eat here and not spend less than 15 bucks for 1 person. They need to work on their prices. What can I say about Jersey Mike's that hasn't been said?!! Jersey Mike's is a great place to have a delicious hoagie or sandwich. I am not a fan of Subway & really like fresh hoagies. If you have a love for a great fresh hoagie then this is the place for you. When you walk into this location, you are greeted with freon fly staff and you see all of the fresh food as they make sandwiches for the people in front of you. The line generally goes very quick and you are able to get back to the office quickly before lunch break is over (smile). Besides Mike's being a great place to eat, Mike's participates in aiding community and social service organizations. There are so many good sub shops in New Jersey that the bar is set super-high. In many other places, Jersey Mike's would likely be a 5-star sub shop. But up against local non-chain heavyweights like Riddle & Martin and Carluccio's, it's hard to see Jersey Mike's as anything more than an upscale Subway. Let me be clear, though, Jersey Mike's is very good and I would never have a problem eating a sub here if that was my only option. But having never been to one before and then hearing all the hype when they moved into town, I had to finally try it. So in my wife and I went for lunch. As much as I'm trying to be good and stick to my Vegan/vegetarian thing, there is only one sub in my mind for which to judge all sub shops: the Italian sub. That means, at minimum, salami and pepperoni in my book. Although the shop was virtually empty when we arrived, the dude in front of us pulled out a sheet of paper and ordered what seemed like 1,000 subs for everyone back at his office. I wanted to cry. We were starving. And we now knew it was going to take awhile to get our subs. (About 15 minutes to be exact.) The bread at Jersey Mike's is good. It's the right combination of crunchy on the outside, but light and fluffy on the inside. This means it can hold up under lots of stuffing and dressing, but doesn't dominate the sandwich or hurt your mouth when you bite in. The whole wheat option was appreciated. My sub was dressed nicely with lettuce, tomato, white onion, jalapeños, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano, and a schmear of mayo. The bread formed a U-shaped crater that held everything in really nicely. My only complaint was that for all of these ingredients, it tasted like Subway. There was nothing standout from a flavor perspective, especially the cold cuts. Good, name brand, quality salami and pepperoni from the right place is going to really stand out. This is a reminder that you are eating in a chain restaurant, much like when I pass Jersey Mike's when I am working in Fort Worth, Texas. But as far as mass produced subs go, Jersey Mikes is A-OK. I still prefer Jimmy John's if I'm going to do the chain thing, but the differences are slight. I just can't see any reason why I would eat here when I get can get the real deal not too far away. read more

Any of my yelp followers know that I love me some Jersey Mike's. This newer location (opened in June) has excellent visibility along 18 although the co-tenancy in the shopping center leaves a little to be desired. As usual, my sandwich was on point made exactly the way I wanted in spite of multiple customizations and delicious. The service was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. However, Jersey Mike's lost a star because, even though it was off peak (4pm), I was the only one in the store, and there were 4 people behind the counter, every table in the restaurant was dirty. I asked for my table to be wiped and the attendant came out with what appeared to be a dry towel and no sanitizer. I then discovered that my table had no napkins. No effort was made to refill the napkins or sanitize the other tables which were also dirty Go for the sandwiches, but you may want to get your order to go. read more

I must say, I often prefer independent delis, but Jersey Mikes kills it. I see why they are such a successful chain. My club supreme just tied for my best sub ever. The bread is perfect and NOT pre sliced. Crunchy outside with soft inside. The turkey and roast beef were both high quality - not the gelatinous stuff you'd see other places.
