12 different kinds of chicken salad and 2 different pimento cheeses? What's not to like? I've been a few times and have found that I like the Fancy Nancy chicken salad the best. The pimento cheese is good also. Today I decided to try the chicken salad melt. It's served on a croissant with melted provolone. I got their classic carol chicken salad this time. It is kind of bland but overall good. Of course they have many more flavors so that's an easy fix for next time. Try the cookies too. They're awesome. Workers are always friendly and fast.

I wanted to try this place for a bit and man, I am so glad I did. The food was outstanding! The portions are more than enough. And the service is fantastic! The place is laid back and a good place to just eat and chill!

Classic carol chicken salad sandwich on wheat with broccoli salad

We went at 11:00 on a Monday and got there just before the lunch crowd. By the time we sat down and got our food the line was almost out the door. First thing I noticed was how nice the presentation of the food was. It comes out in a nice tray. If you get a salad, it comes with a lid that you can put on to shake for mixing or if you don't finish it and want to take it home. I know this is small, but it is so nice. I got the classic carol on wheat/toasted and holy moly it was SO GOOD. The bread was killer. I got the broccoli salad as a side and it was so sweet and yummy. My husband got the cranberry kelly sandwich (which I tried) and it was just as delicious. He got a seasonal salad as his side. It has strawberries, feta, walnuts and a honey mustard dressing. It was great. They give you a tiny cookie with each meal and it is SO GOOD. They have plenty of seating and if the weather is nice, there is outside seating as well. I'll definitely be back!

I don't want to go as far as saying "I'm a fan", but let's just say I have nothing against CSC. The food was good, reasonably priced, and all that. The workers were very friendly and helpful. It's just not my kind of place. The restaurant was 3/4ths full and I was probably one of a few dudes eating there. It's mostly a place for women, like soccer moms, housewives, retirees and business types. Oh back to the food: I had one of their few spicy chicken salad sandwiches, the Kicking Kay Lynne and I chose the pasta salad as my side. They give you the option of wanting to toast your sandwich and I went with that. The fountain soda/drinks were definitely worth it too, especially in the hot weather.

Olivia's Old South, Grape Salad, Mac and Cheese

I got carryout for the staff training event. Restaurant inside was clean and staff was friendly. I got the Olivia's Old South chicken salad scoop, grape salad, and mac and cheese. The chicken salad was really good, not too overpowering on the sweet relish or egg, it was a perfect blend. I loved the grape salad! It was slightly sweet and the grapes seemed fresh. The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the mac and cheese. I like the noodles slightly firm and it to be creamy throughout. This wasn't that, it was kind of like the kind you get in a school cafeteria. I know it was cooked right, it was warm and the right consistency that I am sure they were going for, I just don't enjoy this kind of mac and cheese. But don't let the mac and cheese stop you, everything else is perfect. I will be back!

My sister-in-law invited me to lunch today and we went to Chicken Salad Chick. I had never been before so I was excited to try it. I love Chicken Salad, but I really don't eat it that often. I'm kind of picky on how I like it so I was happy to see several kinds that appealed to me. First off, the inside of the restaurant is super cute! I loved all the colors and decor, it "feels" happy! The young man behind the counter was patient, helpful and really nice. Since it was my first visit, I was overwhelmed by all the choices, but hey...that's okay, I get overwhelmed easily. Once I saw the Fruity Fran, I knew that was the one for me! It's obviously chicken salad, but then added in are, fuji apples, grapes and pineapple! I do love my fruit! I got it on a croissant...my favorite vessel to hold chicken salad! It had just the right amount of fruit ratio to the chicken and it was heavenly! I also enjoyed the little sugar cookie. I gave my pickle to my sister-in-law. Wonderful place from the moment you walk through the doors until you finish that last bite! I'm a fan!

Scoop of Classic Carol chicken salad with baked potato soup

I was a little surprised at the price for the serving size. You can choose a scoop of whatever flavor you'd like plus you get one side. I added a drink onto my meal. It was almost $11. The sides I got to choose from were just other types of salads- egg salad, pasta salad, etc. They did have Mac and Cheese on the menu, but they were out when I was there, so I opted for the baked potato soup instead. The portion size of the soup was also a bit disappointing for the price. The best value would be to do the sandwich plus a side. I decided to go back today and give it a second try. Thinking the pre-packaged salads to go would be a better price per serving. I picked up the egg salad. I was expecting this to be in the $6-7 range for the size and was very surprised when she told me it was over $11 after tax. For egg salad! I'm up in the air on whether to give this 2 or 3 stars. The food tasted ok. But for the price, it should be outstanding and life changing.

This is a great place for lunch! Or a dinner if you want something light. They give you enough food to fill you up but not to where you feel miserable that you need to go home for a nap Perfect spot for lunch with friends or family, even a casual lunch date. The staff is always friendly. They keep busy. You don't ever see any of them standing around talking. I've had the fruity nutty, and the onion lover chicken salad. Both are delicious! The baked potato soup is also tasty. If you order The Chick, you get chicken salad, a side item, a pickle spear, and a sugar cookie (which is actually a perfect way to finish your meal) all for under $11. They also have chicken salad packaged to go if you are in a hurry or want to buy some to take home.

Cute deco. Fair pricing for a filling meal. Have tried several flavors and all are very good. Love the little cookie that comes with The Chick. Please put Miss Tamara's Tarragon Dijon on the permanent menu!

Pro tip: definitely check their hours before you go--and honestly, just plan your day around it because it's that good. I was expecting your typical little coffee-and-sandwich spot, but it completely exceeded my expectations. They have a couple of parking spaces behind the building, and if those are full, there's a free lot about 500 feet down the road. It was pretty busy at lunchtime. You order at the counter, and they bring everything to your table. There's a mix of indoor and outdoor seating in various sizes, and the decor is adorable. I especially loved the maps--they make great conversation starters. I noticed several tables pointing out places they'd visited and swapping travel stories. The menu has a nice variety. I ordered the chicken salad on ciabatta with a side salad. The chicken salad had a strong dill flavor that I really enjoyed, and the ciabatta was perfectly fresh--not too tough. Next time, I'll probably pick a different side since the salad was basically just lettuce. If there was any dressing, it was super light, so I ended up adding some of the lettuce into my sandwich. The surprise standout, though, was the lavender lemonade--a total sleeper hit. It was scorching hot that day, and I wanted something refreshing, so I ordered it on a whim. Honestly, it was the best lemonade I've ever had. I don't usually find myself making a special trip to a café just for lemonade, but here I am. I'm not sure if it's seasonal, but I really hope it sticks around.

When I saw they had hot honey and pepperoni paired together on a 8" pizza, I instantly knew that was one of my choices. The fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheeses paired with the hot honey and pepperoni exploded with flavor. My only disappointment was the inner crust. The outer rim crust was very crispy, but the inner was soft and limp due to the excessive grease from the flavorful pepperoni. I guess that is something I just need to deal with for a tasty lunch pizza. My other choice was, the Apple Gorgonzola Salad. Wow. Double Wow! This has to be the best salad I have ever had. It was a delightful mix of, spinach, granny smith apple, gorgonzola, sun-dried cranberries, candied pecans, all topped with a delicious maple cider vinaigrette. I will be back for the large version and a glass of Pino Grigio as a dinner. As my usual, I sat at the bar. My adult beverage of choice, was a Peel Summer Lager. I may be going back to fill my growler, for the upcoming holiday weekend. The restaurant has a contemporary feel, but the acoustics make it a loud environment. I didn't mind the laughter and loud conversations, it was the yelling and crying toddlers that made me cringe. Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed watching the bartenders use their mixologist skills preparing all the cocktails. It pleased me to see they offer "hooks under the bar". That's a small detail that makes me smile.
