I always get the same order at Panera and I was SO excited for my half Napa almond chicken salad and half Fuji apple chicken salad. The salad SLAPPED - mmm YUM but the sandwich missed the spot for me. The bread was SO thick and there wasn't as much of the chicken salad as usual. Also, one of my friends placed an order and it didn't go through the system which was a bit odd. Otherwise, yummy meal.

Half a cup of coffee grounds. WTF!?

My coffee this morning. Gross. This location has lots of issues. Once my remaining gift cards are used up, I'm done.

The manager who refused our bill!

My husband and I had a 56.00 order this morning. We were paying with a 100.00 bill. They have a policy of having the manager review any 50.00 or 100.00 bills before taking them. The manager comes looks at it and tells us it's counterfeit. We got the 100 bill from the bank yesterday! He said the numbers, lettering, and picture was not normal. He also said we needed to get the bill verified at the bank! My husband said we got the bill from the bank yesterday! Again the manager said we should take it back to the bank and have it verified! Since the bank issued it I doubt it would be counterfeit. A good amount of businesses usually use a special marker to authenticate bills. Why was this not done here? It was Saturday morning did he base his decision on our appearance since we were not dressed up or looking fashionable? Or because we are an interracial couple?

    More half full soups

We ordered soups and the workers claim that with a bread bowl you get half the amount of soup that you would with cup but I even ordered a cup of soup and they filled it half full too. Never coming back again feel like I've Littlry been robbed. To get soups and all but one be full is unacceptable. Especially for 50$ worth of food absolutely pitiful.

White cheddar steak sandwich....where's the beef?!??

I will NEVER go back to Panera....paid $14 dollars for one slice of meat...this is unacceptable

The person in the drive-thru had such long nails that they touched me every time we exchanged something. (Why is anyone allowed near food with unsanitary, fake, long nails???) After I received my order, I checked my sandwich because it's been wrong the last five times. Yet again, despite asking for no lettuce, it was COVERED in lettuce--see the photo. Even though no one was in front of me, I waited ten minutes. I told the woman that I did not want to wait on another one but that I wanted her to know it was wrong and that my order has been wrong every single time for the last six months. I asked her to let the manager know. She pointed her nasty nail to the back and said, and I quote, "It's them, not me." I gave up and left. I won't return.

Asiago bagel toasted and sliced in half

My grandparents eat here every morning for breakfast, and I usually tagalong with them once a month. There are bagels and breakfast sandwiches are always consistently good. Occasionally my husband and I I will stop by here in the evening for a sandwich. My only knock is that overall it's not worth the price for sandwiches. However, the bagels are very reasonably priced and their soup and bread bowls are fantastic and more than reasonably priced. This location is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

I also have to admit, seeing a name like that in 2026 gave us a bit of a pause... But any doubts we had vanished once the plates hit the table. The food here is legit good, and that's coming from a tough crowd. My wife was genuinely impressed with the quality and flavors. The kimchi fried rice, japchae, and bulgogi were all absolutely great and totally hit the spot. It's worth noting that their menu leans heavily into fun Korean street food options rather than the traditional sprawling menus of hearty soups and stews you might expect. I do have one solid recommendation for the kitchen.... they should really consider adding some classic Korean-Chinese fusion dishes like Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong. I think a lot of restaurants miss out on an easy win there, as it's a perfect way to cater to all kinds of flavor profiles and round out a street-food-heavy menu. As for the space itself, the restaurant is quite small but accommodating, and the staff was extremely pleasant throughout our meal. I even tried to impress them by speaking the little bit of Korean i know, but they just stared at me like I was a total alien :-\...so I'll probably just stick to English next time. All that said, this place was a fantastic surprise in Edwardsville, and we will definitely be going back the next time we're in the area.

It's one of a very few places in the area that isn't a chain, isn't just burgers and pizza, and also isn't pretentious or overpriced. The service is always friendly and knowledgeable. We've been there at least ten times and only once was the service slow. It was an anomaly because they're usually really on top of things. Ambiance is a friendly, but upscaled downtown cafe/bar place that is perfect for taking out-of-towners or a fun brunch with the ladies. (They have a separate brunch menu on Saturdays!) I don't drink, so I can't comment on their drink selections. I'm taking away a star because the parking situation is annoying, especially during construction. There is street parking or a huge parking lot in the back. However, the back parking lot is a terrible hodgepodge of concrete and asphalt and a gazillion potholes and no super clear direction on how to get to the restaurant. Some signage would go a long way in helping customers to not only find parking, but once parked, to them navigate back to the little crevice where the back door is located. The back porch is located behind a larger portion of the structure and you can't see it from the parking lot. Additionally, if you have anyone in your party with mobility issues, it's next-to-impossible to park near enough to the door to make a difference. The handicapped parking spots are 40 yards away from the back door. All that said, we will def go back because there's nothing else like it in the area.

When I saw they had hot honey and pepperoni paired together on a 8" pizza, I instantly knew that was one of my choices. The fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheeses paired with the hot honey and pepperoni exploded with flavor. My only disappointment was the inner crust. The outer rim crust was very crispy, but the inner was soft and limp due to the excessive grease from the flavorful pepperoni. I guess that is something I just need to deal with for a tasty lunch pizza. My other choice was, the Apple Gorgonzola Salad. Wow. Double Wow! This has to be the best salad I have ever had. It was a delightful mix of, spinach, granny smith apple, gorgonzola, sun-dried cranberries, candied pecans, all topped with a delicious maple cider vinaigrette. I will be back for the large version and a glass of Pino Grigio as a dinner. As my usual, I sat at the bar. My adult beverage of choice, was a Peel Summer Lager. I may be going back to fill my growler, for the upcoming holiday weekend. The restaurant has a contemporary feel, but the acoustics make it a loud environment. I didn't mind the laughter and loud conversations, it was the yelling and crying toddlers that made me cringe. Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed watching the bartenders use their mixologist skills preparing all the cocktails. It pleased me to see they offer "hooks under the bar". That's a small detail that makes me smile.

Things that disappointed me on my last visit that made me decide to take a star away: They are now serving Kaldi's Coffee a STL roaster. I think it is a shame that they are not supporting one of the many local roasters on the Illinois side of the river. Was disappointed that their iced coffee lids were not sip lids. I prefer them, because I am not a fan of straws. I know some people need or prefer straws, but I like the option of not using one. Save the Turtles. Biggest disappointment was my food. I ordered the Breakfast Platter. My scrambled eggs were fluffy and hot and made fresh. They were very good. The English Muffin was also good. It was obvious it was freshly toasted, because the whipped butter spread and melted easily. The disappointments were the bacon and potatoes. Both were cold and tough. It was obvious that both sides were prepared ahead of time. The bacon did have good flavor, but it was chewy and rubbery. My potatoes were on the burnt side of preparation and cold and chewy like the bacon. Damn, when I've ordered this before it was good, not this time. I will at least say, the service and customer service is still good and consistent with what I've had before. Which actually saved them from getting two stars.

The sauce was a accompaniment. For an entree I chose, Drunken Noodles and added Beef for my protein. I was torn between Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodle and when I asked my server, she said their most popular dish was Drunken Noodles. Then when I went to add my protein it was between chicken and beef. She said beef was her favorite add, so I went with her recommendation. Once my entree arrived to the table I was surprised by its size. It was huge. It was so big, it could have been a meal for two. Guess who had leftovers for lunch the next day. The noodles were flavorful and lots of tender beef and had plenty of veggies. My spice level was 3 out of 5 and I still was sweating along my hairline. Next visit I may have to scale back to a two.
