My boss has been bothering me about giving this place a try for a while now, so I finally did. I'm a longtime Subway guy and know that they don't absolutely have the best sandwiches by any means, but old habits die hard. Anyways, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the place was while still being inviting. Some places end up feeling extremely sterile when they're on top of cleanliness, but this place struck an even balance. What may have also contributed to this is how friendly the staff comes off right when you walk in. I ordered a Jersey Shore's favorite sub at the behest of my boss with all the things (I could've gone off script, but I wanted to make sure my experience was exactly what he wanted me to get). I also got a giant size since I usually put down a footlong. Now that I'm on the other side of the whole experience, I wouldn't recommend eating the whole thing in one sitting. If you're with someone who has similar tastes as you, split it with them. I will be enough. They don't skimp on the freshly sliced meat, and the veggies, while there isn't as much variety as I'm used to, are very fresh. There's a "juice" you get when you order something Mike's way, which is an eponymous way of saying everything on it. I'm not 100% sure what makes up the juice, but it brought about a nice flavor, which was probably more prominent because I decided not to get any mayo or mustard. I think the place is decently priced considering how much they give, and I'm keen on trying their chicken Philly next time I come in. However, this experience on its own wasn't enough to really convince me that I should prioritize this place over other sandwich spots. read more

Ordered the largest size which I think is a deal because I split it with my husband and half the large sandwich is still bigger and filled wayyy more than something I'd get at subway. What's the point if the sandwich is all bread. I appreciate Jersey mikes because you always get what you expect. I never have to worry about them skimping on my sandwich here. Agreed with other reviewers, the African American lady was very rude! Crazy thing the owner was obviously training a new employee and should have been paying attention but he was teaching the new employee how to cut bread. This is by far the best Jersey Mike's location in greater Sacramento. I don't even live in Elk Grove but come here for work and I always enjoy the sandwich. Workers seem happy which is a sign of a good manager. The gal with the red braids hooked up my sandwich as you can see! I appreciate that the meats and cheeses are sliced fresh and that they wash the knife between cutting different sandwiches. You go to Jersey mikes for the quality. I read some reviews of bad service before I decided to try Jersey Mikes off Laguna, Oh Boy, was I surprised in a good way. As soon as I stepped in I was greeted by a few employees, even spoke to the Manager (Rafael) on shift at the time. Excellent service The 2 sandwiches ordered were the Turkey w provolone, added avacado/pickles & the Roast Beef w provolone with bacon added. Overall the sandwiches were good as a first timer not knowing how or what is added. Now I know how they make their sandwiches, perhaps next time I will ask for more of salt/pepper/vinegar. Not a deal breaker though! This Laguna location is right next to Smashed Burgers/Starbucks. Convenient if you crave something else. Poor Counter Service - might be better using the app to avoid inconveniencing the staff. My husband (first time going to JM) went in to place an order for our family. He had each order via text so he could provide the orders to the staff. Staff were very rude, unhelpful, and by the last two sandwiches he was told they only come as listed on the board- no substitutions or changes, even though JM prides themselves on made-to-order sandwiches. JM has great sandwiches- if you are craving one and want great customer service and want what you ask for, you may want to avoid the Laguna store and go somewhere else. One of my favorite chain sub spots and I have been to a bunch of locations but this one was different. The cold sandwiches are solid compared to other places but my go to at Jersey Mike's is the Big Kahuna. This is a fully loaded cheesesteak with peppers and extra cheese. Given the name of this sub, it should be stacked with meat and cheese but the ones I have gotten here are not that. I have gotten the regular and giant, which is like 2 regulars. When I get it here it just does not hit. The bread is good, white or rosemary, but the sub seems lighter, and the ratio of bread to meat is off. Usually I come here to write happy and nice reviews but this one pissed me off!!!! I stop there to get a sandwich for my 8 year old and it's 8:30pm they close at 9. All I wanted was one turkey sandwich with mayo only. The Asian girl helped me and seemed annoyed. When we got to the mayo she pulls a plastic fork out of the hot red pepper relish, slams the relish off then scoops the mayo and spreads it on the bread. There was red in the mayo that's still there for others and on my sandwich. I asked is that hot? She said no did you want some? It's already on the sandwich. I said I just want to make sure it's not hot it's for a child. She said it's not and wrapped the sandwich. I should have just left but I bought it. I know the foot long was a lot at almost 20 bucks. It was so worth it. So tender and juicy with a lot of meat. I enjoyed it and couldn't finish it. So much flavor. I am a fan of hot sandwiches. Jersey Mikes has a vast selection of hot and cold sandwiches. I tried the Chipotle cheese steak, which was basically a cheese steak with Chipotle mayo. It was really good. Aside from the messiness and the fact that it was a tad overpriced and maybe not the best choice if I'm trying to eat healthy...it was a good sandwich. I'm a fan of the bread too.
