I love Jersey Mike's. I have been here a lot. The first time I tried it my office got it catered from here. Today I got The Original Italian and got it mikes way. It was so delicious. They do not skimp on the meat. I also got as a side Miss Vikkie's smokehouse BBQ chips. I was informed it was a national cookie day and they gave me a free cookie. Everything was delicious. Unfortunate customer service experience. I placed an online order to be ready ASAP, which usually means about 15 minutes, but when I arrived I was told it wouldn't be ready for another hour. I asked if they could make it since I was already there and the only customer in the store, but the employee refused, saying she had "other things to do." When I tried to cancel online it directed me to call or cancel through the store. But when I asked her to cancel it, she said I had to do it online, which wasn't possible. She stood there, clearly annoyed, while no one else was even in the store. After a while, she finally made my sandwich, but the whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. I can understand that someone might be having a bad day or that there might be staffing issues. However, that does not excuse the laziness shown and unwillingness to put the customer first. I would also like to reiterate that through this whole interaction that I was one of two customers that were in the store, with this other customer having the same issue as me and being shown the same lack of care. I have been a loyal customer of Jersey Mikes for many years, and have been to this location many times. I will not be going back after this experience. 3.5 Finally getting around to trying JM's since they've seemed to pop up everywhere. Cold Sandwich was pretty good (#13 Italian). Toppings were fresh. Meats were solid. Bread was pretty good. I like that it has four meats instead of the common three. I would definitely eat it again. I would consider trying the steak sub but not many other subs on the menu catch my fancy. One thing I believe is key is maintaining the sub. If it stays in the bag all twisted up it can get soggy and effect taste and aesthetics. Yup, went there on a simple sub lol. Manager was very rude. She removed the cutting board while the young Mann was preparing food. I asked if she could bring it back so he could continue to prepare food in a sanitary manner. She (manager) came back shortly with the board. There was a bug in the bread when I showed them the manager immediately became upset and decided to prepare the food on her own, never one pulling the clean sheet of paper to lay over the prep board. read more

Let me preface by saying I love cheesesteaks! It's my go to sub when I'm visiting a sandwich shop. My husband and I were out and got hungry so we decided to grab an impromptu quick dinner. We placed a to-go order and both ordered the #56 which is The Big Kahuna cheesesteak. I ordered my sandwich with the jalapeños on the side. The sandwich was delicious with the cheese mixed into the steak. The bread was slightly chewy while being soft which melded well with the steak and cheese. A bonus is that it doesn't get soggy. I have been to Jersey Mike's several times and keep coming back because of the good tasting subs. With that said, I didn't have a completely positive experience at this new location. They just opened and the lines were very long. I have no problem with that and understood the wait. However, I received the wrong Sandwich. The one I did receive was similar, but i was overcharged a couple bucks because of the error. Also, it didn't have the toppings that I requested. Overall, the food I did receive tasted good. I attribute the errors to the grand opening and will be coming back. I would likely rate higher next time, assuming my order is correct. read more

I love Jersey Mike's subs- just not from this location. First off, service is extremely slow- even if there is no one else in the restaurant. Second, my sub seems to always be a little sad. Yesterday was my breaking point to finally review them. I walked in behind a group of 3 people. Those 3 ordered hot subs. The guy at the counter gave the order to the cook and then took my order for a cold sub. He then went to ring up the hot subs. At this point, a line had formed behind me. He proceeded to take all of the orders of the customers who had walked in without starting any of the cold subs. When a 3rd employee came up to help, he pushed her out of the way and told her he didn't need help. When he finally did get to my sub, he shorted me on meat (I wish I had taken a picture) and then put on so much Mayo, that there was more mayo than anything else. It was very disappointing sub that I spent 20 minutes waiting for. Although this location is the most convenient, I will not be returning. I can't stand this location.......I vowed never ever to go back, but my girlfriend was not feeling well, and wanted Jersey Mike's. Since this is the closest, I decided I would go to this location this one last time only. Needless to say, they were slow, screwed up the order and I left this location and drove an extra 10 miles out of my way to get what she wanted. This location is simply not good......the food doesn't even taste consistently fresh j like the other locations I frequent in Rochester Hills, Madison Heights and Troy.
