This particular Jersey Mikes is actually located inside a convenience store and you might miss it unless you know what you are looking for. I've stopped here a few times on my way up Highway 395. I did not see any indoor dining here, but did notice they have some outside tables. This particular location is probably best suited for take out. One nice thing is that you can also pick up some additional items at the convenience store while you are there. The sandwiches here are basically the same as you'll probably get at any other Jersey Mikes location. The prices seemed a little higher, which is probably reasonable given this somewhat more remote location. I ordered the mini sub with tuna and it cost me $10.45. Jersey MIkes sandwiches seem to offer much better quality than their competitors, and the one nice thing is that you can have your sandwich customized to your liking and watch them actually build it right in front of you.

Jersey Mike's is my absolute favorite but this sandwich was just a disappointment between two pieces of bread.

So given that I was out all day and was getting back to the hotel late and my choices were limited (lets face it I would rather have a cup-o-noodles than a McMeal) I gave these guys a try and came away pleasantly surprised. It also violated one of our culinary rules about eating prepared food from a gas station. First off the staff was super friendly, worked fast but got the sandwiches right, and paid attention to glove changes and the like. The sandwiches follow a common theme. Bread baked in house, but at JM's the meat and cheese is sliced per order. I did go back multiple times and on occasion they were out of an item (given its rather remote locations it does not get daily supply drops) the staff were quick to make suggestions to sub in. The fixing were always fresh as well. You can really ask for more

Stopped for lunch before heading out after a weekend of hiking. It was great. The food prepped did an amazing job loading up the sandwich, beautifully placing toppings and wrapping up the giant sandwich we ordered. It got even better enjoying the goats outside under the trees while we ate.

Still had 6 hours till we got back to LA so decided to stop here for a quick bite. I was a bit confused on the ordering process but I was born confused so just went with the tuna sandwich. The gentleman who attended me was friendly & very quick on making my sub. They are very limited on toppings but that's probably due to the location. I got the basics; lettuce, tomatoes, onions & peppers. The sandwich was fresh & tasty. Definitely better then subway & I love subway sandwiches. Things to note: - They offer wheat, white, rosemary parm & gluten free bread - They sell bowls & wraps - They have chipotle sauce & other sauces - This is probably the best sandwich spot in the area ! Definitely found a new spot to come to when I pass by again :)

We come through Lone Pine at least 1x/year and I just tried this bistro and enjoyed it so much. The ladies working there (family owned) are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. It was so nice chatting with them while placing and waiting for my order. I am picky on coffee, but it was delicious and perfect. A MUST to visit.

There is a small gift shop with lots of sundry stuff. We have been regulars when we are traveling up and down the 395 which happens a couple times a month. I always appreciate hospitality service workers and make it a point to be friendly and appreciative to everyone. It's just so darn difficult here. I mean for the last 6 years this has been a regular spot and nothing really seems to change. The ladies here just don't seem to enjoy their jobs. During our last visit we needed to use the restrooms and they were very unclean. My brain always connects dirty bathrooms to probably dirty kitchens. I never like to give poor reviews and give regular spots multiple tries. We just can't do it anymore. There is a coffee shop and juice bar across the street we will be trying on our next trip.

My order was supposed to be ready by 1158am. I got to the place around 1210pm. When walking in I noticed there were about 4 people sitting down eating subs and 5 people in line. There was only 1 person working the counter. I went over to the mobile order pickup spot and asked for my order. The guy scoffed and said "You'll have to wait." I told him I ordered over a half hour ago and he just pointed to the people in line. So while I waited for the guy to make every person's order who was in line, I asked if I could get a cup because I had ordered a drink. He said something to the affect of "Fine. Whatever." Then I saw that their drink machine was out of order. It said to go next door to the gas station to fill the drink. The stores are connected so it wasn't a huge deal but I could have just bought the drink from the gas station and it would have been cheaper. I had already paid for everything online so there was basically nothing I could do. So I go fill up my drink and find most of their sodas are flat. By this time I didn't really care anymore so I just shut up and waited for my food. When the guy finally got to making and handing me my sandwich I told him, "Dude. I understand. You are the only worker here and you have a lot of customers. I just wish you would have prioritized my order so it was ready for pickup as that's the only reason to order online. He said, "Well youre going to need to put the order in 20-30 minutes before, next time." I assured him there wouldn't be a next time and reminded him that I had ordered 30 minutes before coming in. He argued that it hadn't been 30 minutes. I don't know why he was arguing with me as I wasn't being a jerk about it. I was trying to show him some understanding and empathy. He then checked my receipt and realized it had been 30 minutes and said I should have ordered 45 minutes ahead of time. So it is basically my fault for not giving him 45 minutes to make one sandwich. I let him know the app said it would be ready before noon. "Well we don't go by the app." I said, "Well maybe you don't but your customers do." I really didn't want to argue with the kid but I did want him to understand how he was coming off. By saying I should have done something different, he was putting the blame on me. I told him all he needed to do was apologize for the wait and send me on my way. I know this was a young guy with too much work handed to him. I can accept that but he doesn't need to argue with people. I had a right to be upset as I had taken the time to order online and was basically treated as a walk-in. I could understand if I was ordering 3 or 4 sandwiches but all I ordered was one veggie sandwich. If they can't keep up with mobile ordering, they shouldn't have mobile ordering. It's as easy as that. Needless to say we won't be returning.

They have small, old fashioned shopping carts that are convenient and save you from having to carry your items in your arms. The meats in the cold case looked good and the prices weren't bad, at all. They have large bags of ice available (always an important "must have" for the camp ice chest!), plus some clever person also included frozen 1 gallon water jus for those who know that block ice lasts longer. At $1.99, these frozen jugs are a good economical choice for keeping your perishables cold. The wine selection was unremarkable. Unless you're used to bottom-shelf wines, you are probably going to be disappointed. The beer selection is much better, an you'll find a small selection of microbrews here, like stuff from Lagunitas and Mammoth Brewing Co. The produce selection was not large, but what was there looked well-trimmed and fresh. You will find some of the basic carrots, cabbages, limes, apples, and onions, but not the cilantro or other more specialized items. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's an old-time local grocery store that saves you from having to drive all the way to the next big town of Bishop to do basic grocery resupply.
