    Onion rings and hamburger
    Mary X.

Way too long to get any type of service. Parties sat down and left because no one came by to take their orders after sitting them. Didn't check up on us at all. Asked for burger to be plain but still came with everything. Onion Rings were good. I'd skip this place and try something else in town.

We had a group gathering in the back room during the morning hours. The waitress came by to check on some of our friends to see who wanted to order food as some were hear to just chat and not eat. The area was spacious for our 20 person event. We ordered the omelet, house potatoes with sourdough bread and it was really good for the price.

When I saw Totem Cafe listed on Yelp, I was instantly drawn to it. Could this local spot be symbolic to our trip? I wanted to try it and glad I did. I really enjoyed my tasty breakfast mainly due to the great service from the lone waitress. She was very attentive and friendly. The dining area has a nice laidback atmosphere. It's also clean and spacious which is always good. Definitely give this cafe a try if you're in Lone Pine, CA.

I got the breakfast burrito and it was probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had and I've had many at many places. Hats off to Totem cafe for great breakfast food!

    Salmon with baked potato

Came here for dinner with two friends after a long day outside. The waitress was friendly and there were plenty of empty tables around 7:30 pm on a Friday night. We were seated right away. I ordered the grilled salmon with baked potato, one of my friends ordered the salmon with French fries, and our other friend ordered the tuna salad. The food was fine and decent. The menu can be somewhat limited if you have dietary restrictions in your party. Overall, our food was fine, but it didn't stand out enough to seek out this restaurant next time we're in town.

I Stepped back in time, at this rusty Wild-West Café to enjoy an amazing ribeye steak, Just like John Wayne might've had back in the days when he was shooting Western Movie in Lone Pine California Area. I took this Color Dark Tones shot that captures the Rustic atmosphere at the Totem Café.

Super yummy spot to stop in for breakfast. Got seated right away on a Saturday morning. We got the pancake combo and eggs with potatoes and a side of bacon. The bacon and pancakes were the star of the show. The only thing we'd do different is get the potatoes extra crispy.

Always a must stop on Hwy 395. Good food and service. Tip: Eat outside on the patio and take in the sights of Mt Whitney and the Sierras.

It was around 1pm and I was still looking to have breakfast, but my hubby was looking for lunch. This place seemed to offer both and the reviews were good too! We were able to park right up front. They have an outside patio in the front area as an option to dine at. It was definitely a hot day in the high 90's, so it wasn't an option for us to sit out there today. Although they did have misters on which was a nice touch. We walked in to a busy place and there were only two tables available, so we sat down right away. It took a while for us to get our menu's, but we can see it was busy. Our server was really nice and once we ordered our food, it was served pretty quickly! I ordered the Ironman Scramble with the Cheddar Jalapeño bread which the bread was so delicious! I also ordered a refreshing Peach Iced Tea. My husband ordered the Alabama Hills Bacon Cheese Burger and a Strawberry Lemonade. We were both very happy with our meals and even ordered a Cinnamon Roll to go! All the baked goods looked amazing too.

It took a few minutes of waiting but our waitress came by and took our order. We ordered fresh OJ while we decided what to eat. Unfortunately our waitress never came back to take our food order after we got our OJ. Around the 10min mark of waiting and wondering where our waitress was, we overheard the staff telling some of the customers that their systems were down and were not able to take orders or payment. Oddly, they only seemed to communicate this to guests who were waiting or standing in line. I saw one customer pay cash for their food while they let another customer go without asking for payment (they told him not to worry about it). However, I didn't see any of the staff communicate to patrons who were already seated, including us. After another 10min of waiting to see if someone would come by to tell us of the issue, we decided to just get up and leave after being there for almost 30 minutes. On our way out, we handed some cash to a random staff member to pay for the OJ, but she didn't even seem to care. Although I was excited to try their breakfast items, their service (or lack thereof) has turned me away from wanting to visit again. I understand you're busy and having your systems offline added to the chaos, but the staff could have easily just made an announcement to the whole restaurant (it's a small restaurant) about the issue, thanking people for their patience, and letting us know what to expect.

We love to stop at different little coffee spots and were pleasantly surprised with Vibras. They have a large coffee sign outside which is how we knew they serve coffee in addition to fresh juices. We ordered a drip coffee an oatmilk latte. She gave us the drip coffee immediately, which was nice. The coffee was rich and very tasty (not bitter or flavored). You should know though they do not have a public restroom, which is somewhat of a draw back when you are serving hot and cold beverages and want to attract travelers. I still gave them five stars for their coffee and service. I think that possible they are more of a juice bar, but we were very happy with the caffeine fix.

It took us so long to get our food that we had to completely change our plans for the day! However the acai bowls are great and so are the teas. They were out of a ton of syrups though when we went as well so I think they need to do a better job of stocking their stuff and manning their area with people to service the customers. We would have come again and again if the place could keep up. Another morning I got a couple juices that were delicious.

I mean for the last 6 years this has been a regular spot and nothing really seems to change. The ladies here just don't seem to enjoy their jobs. During our last visit we needed to use the restrooms and they were very unclean. My brain always connects dirty bathrooms to probably dirty kitchens. I never like to give poor reviews and give regular spots multiple tries. We just can't do it anymore. There is a coffee shop and juice bar across the street we will be trying on our next trip.

Whitney. We had looked at the menu online and had an idea of what we wanted in advance, nope. Out of: the elk, all lamb, trout, and the filets- we ended up with two orders of top sirloin. I had mine with the mushrooms and my husband had his with the green peppercorn sauce- I guess you can still have the sauces even though the meat is gone. The steaks were ok, I definitely did not get what I wanted and probably wouldn't have stayed if I had known just how bad it would be. I did see others walk out, and people that ordered after me were not happy. There's a really easy way to fix this- daily paper menus with what you actually have. Maybe even update them as things run out. Just cross stuff out. Let the guests know up front. If I had known how limited it was, I wouldn't have ordered a drink and eaten the tasty bread roll. Service wasn't that great either- the person that brought the drinks was very friendly, but otherwise our waiter was pretty inattentive. I had the Bees Knees which I enjoyed, I ordered a glass of red to go with the steak, and that didn't show up till I was well into my meal. Weirdly, I would give this place another shot, but would order before even sitting down. That way when I am told that all I can get is a steak that I'm not that interested in, I'll go somewhere else. Or eat at the bar, have a decent drink and leave when you see how dire the menu selection is.
