This isn't my first Cane's rodeo. I used to hit up the Costa Mesa location a lot back when the chain was first expanding in California. The core experience here is similar, but this location does a great job leaning into local Long Beach culture, something other reviewers said too. Cane's seems genuinely involved with local high schools, and the walls are lined with alumni photos and neighborhood history. Much appreciated. Service is fast, genuinely faster than In-N-Out, which is saying something for a California chain. The value is strong too, $10-15 usually gets you a solid amount of food. The standout is the Texas toast which is buttery, nicely crisped, and honestly kind of unique for a California fast food spot. The chicken itself is fine, nothing special, but it doesn't need to be great because the real star is the Cane's sauce. A smoky, tangy mayo-based dip that's genuinely distinctive. There's a reason you can find it bottled in grocery stores now. Fries are just okay, but again, everything's better with the sauce. A few downsides: the drive-through moves surprisingly slow for how popular it is (never seen it move fast, even on slow days). The interior can also feel overstimulating. The disco ball is charming but the lights are a bit much, and it gets loud. That's especially true late at night, since they're open until almost 4 AM and it draws a big crowd of post-club twenty-somethings and students from CSULB and Long Beach City College. If you can look past the slower drive-through and the sensory overload inside, it's a great spot for a late-night bite. read more

The chicken was rubbery and dry. It looks nice but this is why you need canes sauce. Fries overly salty. Also the chicken is smaller than advertised. (Maybe a disclaimer. ) Also the cashier up charged me more for the lemonade. I didn't know it's extra. I'd just say no. But. No mention. And that was just sugar water. But Green. I tried to. Mix w sweet tea. And lemonade is gone. Which means there was none at all to start with. The first time was great. The second time was OK. I came here after an event, and it was nice. There was a large crowd of younger people with a good vibe. It's a hangout for school-age people. Love it. Now, if you know Canes, they have the best Chicken Strips with fries and a nice piece of toasted bread, along with a special sauce for dipping. Well, after all these years, I finally made it to raising Cane's !! my son had been bugging me to come try this spot for a while and quite honestly I'm usually not a fan of chain restaurants with gimmicks .. this reviews for the new location of Carson Street by the Long Beach town center, which I couldn't find an address on yo so here it is. We decided to split a caniac combo because I knew he would eat all of his food and I honestly just wanted to try a couple chicken strips. This new location is big and even has misters on the patio which was kinda nice in the hot weather. The staff were all pretty cool. The place was clean, but the bathroom already had a broken soil dispenser, which is kinda hard when you're trying to wash your hands before you eat. Now onto the food, honestly, I was surprised on how things tasted. I hate to admit it, but it was actually pretty dang good. The tenders were juicy. The fries were good and the sauce well I think it's a little overrated tasted like thousand island with a ton of pepper in it. I recently visited and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the fries were extremely salty, to the point where my fingers were covered in excess salt. Consistency seems to be an issue, as some days the food is good, while other times it falls short. Additionally, the fountain drinks did not taste right. The Sprite, in particular, tasted more like sparkling water. I did speak with the manager on duty, and although he attempted to correct the issue by changing the syrup, the taste did not improve much. I would recommend that staff regularly check the soda machines (ideally hourly) to ensure the quality of drinks, especially for drive-thru customers who may not realize there's an issue until they've already left. It may also help for staff to monitor or sample fries periodically to maintain proper seasoning levels. With better quality checks and consistency, this location has the potential to provide a much better experience. read more

I ordered my food, and provided the sheet of paper with the fundraiser promo code. As I was throwing my trash away, I noticed that the receipt didn't have the promo code listed anywhere on it. I went to the counter and asked them to make sure it was applied to my meal. They said that I was supposed to provide the code when I paid. I LITERALLY GAVE THE PIECE OF PAPER WITH THE PROMO CODE ON IT TO THE CASHIER WHEN I ORDERED!!! Not sure if it was an oversight or they just didn't want to support the PTO and keep the money for themselves, or what. Either way, pretty infuriating. This is a great location with great customer service. I frequently visit this location and the service is always consistent. The food is always hot and fresh, it's not sitting under a warmer. 09/21/23 What does every teenage girl want to eat with their friends besides Chick-fil-A and Starbucks? You guessed right if you said Raising Cane's. The obsession is real. So my daughter was finishing up her second year on the varsity volleyball team this past season and sadly, it was her last being that she's a high school senior. So every girl on the team hosts lunch before a game. It started off with pizza, then sandwich trays and chips, then one day, someone brought Olive Garden pasta's, red and white, bread and salad. No holds barred from there. The next parent took their Chick-fil-A orders, then another time, a parent got Chipotle catered and set up a taco bar. I was having a hard time deciding what to feed them for our turn. I had to think smart and practical. And what do I do? I think like a teenage girl again! Lol I matched the energy of the parent who brought Chick-fil-A but refused to take their orders. You get what you get and you're gonna like it! Lol And they did. I ordered the 50-Finger Tailgate pack. It suggests it feeds 13-17 people. I ordered crinkled fries, toast and coleslaw as well. Can't forget the Cane's sauce. I was a little worried ordering online thinking that they'd mess up the order or that it wouldn't be ready on time because I'm just paranoid like that. But it was ready when I got there and everything were in the bags. Great and fast customer service. Appreciate that. All under $200 for 13 girls and 3 coaches. And there was half a tray of chicken left. We shared that with the physical trainer and some kids hanging out. This was a perfect choice. Absolutely terrible experience at this Cane's location. We placed our order, and once our food was ready, we were handed it in to-go bags and told we couldn't eat inside the restaurant. This was not communicated to us beforehand. If the dining room was closed, why let customers in to order and sit? To make matters worse, we were also denied use of the restroom. One employee had said it was okay, but as we walked toward it, another staff member stopped us and said--word for word--"my big boss is here," and told us we'd have to drive across the street to CVS if we needed a bathroom. Completely unprofessional. We ended up eating outside in the cold, with no access to restrooms, while the drive-thru continued operating. The raising Cane's is a good option if you want something fast fresh and moderately seasoned. The chicken isn't seasoned enough for me, but that sauce makes up for it. I come to this raising cane's location often since I live nearby. They've made a mistake on my order on a couple of occasions. Instead of including my coleslaw they've given me extra bread twice now. I love the coleslaw so I didn't enjoy those meals as much as I usually do. However, during my latest visit the coleslaw had a piece of PLASTIC I almost swallowed! Photo attached. This is not cool. Unfortunately my fiancée threw away our receipt so I feel I'm unable to contact customer support. The guy has kept us waiting for almost 2 minutes while he was on his phone. Knowing we are right in front of him and we can see him and then gave us an attitude and when we went home we found out.
