After driving by it multiple times in the past, we decided to check out Dave's Hot Chicken and see how it compares to other fast food restaurants in the area. This location conveniently had a drive-thru and good parking. The menu lists 6-7 different spice levels for your chicken and all the different ways to order. To our surprise, the employee on the menu intercom asked if we were returning and new customers, which we appreciated. Delilah took our order and walked us through the menu, shared recommendations, and answered our questions. When we approached the window, we asked about sauces and she shared with us the popular ones and gave us samples to try--it was really nice of her to go the extra mile like that! My daughter and I wanted a quick snack on our lunch break from a class we were taking. This location is very clean and put together. The women's restroom tho gets 0 stars. There was a fishy smell in there and one of the stalls had zero toilet paper. It was like 4pm in the afternoon; they should be checking the restrooms regularly. Service was a 10/10! We came here for the first time because my child saw a video on youtube as an eating challenge for spicy food. In the video someone eats Hot Bites. We drove by and he recognized the restaurant from the video. My child was curious to see how spicy the hot bites are. We dined in and ordered the Top loaded Spicy Buffalo Mac and cheese with fries (medium spicy). I don't have a high tolerance for very spicy food, but the medium was good. Definitely spicy but not too spicy, it has a good enough kick that keeps the food from being boring but not so spicy that I am too uncomfortable to eat it. The spicy Bbq bites have more of a kick than the medium Buffalo bites. I feel they were definitely spicier but still delicious. My child had the 10 pc Daves hot bites (medium spicy) with fries. Strawberry Lemonade slushy is delicious. The air conditioning is on high and when eating spicy food it feels really good. It was a nice surprise that they also sell beer here. Zeke suggested we try the honey with the Dave's sauce and it was amazing. Mix those to add to the sandwich and dip your fries. The photos of the chicken look like heavy thick breading, but that's not the case. It's perfect! Breading is thin and dusted lightly with the seasoning. We got our sandwiches light mild heat. I love that this location has a drive through! I came on free slider day as well as the day after since I was within walking distance. Free slider day was so well prepared for at this location and the staff was noticeably going above and beyond to give great service, I believe the woman who took my order was Amanda and she was super sweet. The day after was noticeably different but not bad. I was left standing at the counter for a few minutes before anyone even realized I was there but the worker was very nice and apologetic about it.
