the ground floor level of the Marriott Residence Inn LAX has 3 retail spaces a Starbucks, Jersey Mikes, and a busy Pizza joint. I was staying Nextdoor at Hyatt House LAX, and walked over to Jersey Mikes to grab some food around 6pm. There was plenty of parking, some indoor tables, and ample outdoor seating for a large sum of customers. at 6pm there were a steady stream of persons employed at LAX coming in to order food though during my visit this did not result in a notable wait to put in my order verbally. my choice the Jersey Mike Cheese Steak, I order a large but a regular would have been a more realistic serving size given that although the sandwich was very good and loaded with meat, and grilled bell peppers, and onions it was far to much food for a single meal for me. Overall the staff were pleasant, the sandwich prepared well, I would happily come back to this Jersey Mikes location. read more

Walked over from my hotel to grab a club supreme sandwich for lunch. The restaurant was clean, team was friendly, and the service was quick. Sandwich was good, right amount of ingredients and not sloppy when I got it back to my room. Sandwich and chips came out under $15 which beats any of the hotel restaurants. We were so hungry and wanted something delicious and simple. This Jersey Mike's was attached to the Residence Inn Airport LAX. A close walk for us and we chose to go with a Giant sub. I believe it was roast beef and provolone. We had it "Mike's Way" mostly, cut up so it's easy to eat. The service was fantastic, it was a football day and they just rolled through the orders with care and hospitality. They have sitting inside and outside that has a hedge around it, we decided to eat outside. They have fountain drinks, we ordered regular sizes and some mini cookies that were freshly baked. It's minutes from LAX, and at the bottom level of the Residence Inn next to other businesses. There was also a game that night at Levi's South so people were probably trying to get some grub in before heading over. They've got plenty of choices, most of the time people now like their subs toasted, I'm still a cold cut sub type of guy, and ordered the turkey/roast beef, you get to choose the toppings, mayo/mustard, that type of thing. My intent is to provide a review for the Jersey Mike's inside LAX near whatever terminal is default-assigned to Delta flights. This probably isn't it, but it is the closest I could get on the map. I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient they were given the crowds seeking subs. They even route those asking for hot subs around to the register past people who are making choices as their cold subs are assembled. I did have to wait 10 minutes or so for the order, but that gave me time to check in with Delta and come back. Note: whereas most JM locations offer mini / regular / giant sizes, to streamline things (I'm guessing), this one offers regular only. So eat half if you want a mini or order 2 if you want a giant. I had a bad personal history with seeking cheesesteaks in the north bay area, so I was pleased to eat here during my short layover. read more

Only one worker doing it all so naturally everything takes much longer than it should. Nobody's order was ready when they arrived so the place got crowded fast. The handwritten receipt is an interesting concept -- the poor gal has to write out the order, hand it to the customer, who then hands it back to her down the line at payment. I'm sure there's a reason but it's odd and a waste of time. And it's very loud (HVAC system? + music) so communicating with the worker is impossible without shouting. But the guy who was making the sub was not that efficient. I guess he thought that I was just a girl and didn't give me two full sized bacon. And only two pieces of tomato. Been to a handful of Jersey Mike's throughout the years but never really care for leaving a review for one since they never really stand out, until I came to this one. Upon entering we were welcomed by a smiling employee, while we looked at the menu , a different employee asked if we were ready or needed more time, to which we said we needed a bit more time. Once we were ready, we approached said employee and we put our orders in. When it got to preparing the sandwiches, the sandwich artist asked us how we wanted it, Mike's Way of course but "easy" on the mayo, add jalapeños. After adding a slight dab of mayo, homeboy held the bread up and checked with me if that was enough. Bonus points right there. If I'm ever by LAX and hungry as hell, I'll be thinking about this place with the outstanding customer service and stacked high piles of meats. read more

Probably the worst location! I ordered pick up and I walk in and there's 5 workers behind the counter. I get no greeting or acknowledgement so I try to speak to a worker and she's looking at me lost? I tell her my order and she hands it to me from the back counter without a word. As I'm waiting, I'll see a bunch of flies swarming around the place. Ordered at 3:30ish, app said would be ready by 3:45. Arrived at 3:45 and the workers had not even started preparing my order. Waited another 10 minutes in store. Finally received my order and the bread was toasted rock hard. The bacon was burnt as well to the point of being inedible. Sub tasted like it was covered in grease. I went back inside and asked for the order to be fixed and the girls told me that the bread is already pre toasted and that it was my fault for not asking for it not to be. Politely asked for it to be remade and was met with hesitation and attitude from both workers (one of which was apparently store manager). Remake took 20+ minutes? Seemed they just took their time correcting it as they did not want to do it. I come to Jersey Mikes locations all of the time and never have had an issue. It was the first location where I tried their subs and wowzers it was delicious. A nice lady by the name of Jessica. She was very helpful with us and recommended the Chiptole Steak and Cheese. She also asked if I wanted to add grilled bell peppers since I asked if I can have it more flavor rather than just meat and cheese. When asking for the type of bread she recommended the Rosemary Parm and I thought why not. I didn't know the food was that fresh either lol. Never going back to Subway again. I work in a nearby office building so like to order online, pick up and get back to the office, especially with long lunchtime lines. Last four online orders: 1) mini Italian. Get back to office and it's a mini cancro. 2) and 3) clubs but bacon was left off. Not a club is there's no bacon! 4) pick up time was 30 min after order. Showed up 40 min after but wasn't made as slip had fallen and was forgotten. A reliable staple has fallen. Nearby Rinaldi's is more reliable for online orders and Trimana for a quick grab. read more

I ordered a simple sub with no onions or mushrooms. With grilled banana peppers and jalapeño on wheat bread . I returned my sandwich 3 times based on them screwing up my order. Finally I asked for a refund because my 1 hour lunch break was over and still I have yet to eat my lunch. First time at this location and had a wonderful experience. Surprisingly for a holiday weekend it was not crowded at all although this location seems to cater to the business weekday crowd. The employees greeted me as a I walked in and got started on my wrap very quickly. The employee also offered extra veggie toppings if I wanted any, which was a nice touch. Before I knew it the wrap was ready to go! I took it back and enjoyed it at the hotel. If I had to eat it at the restaurant that would have been fine. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. The outside was a bit more crowded because a bunch of people were using the tables from the neighboring Starbucks and pizza place. Not my first time at Jersey Mike's but my first review. I went here during the COVID19 pandemic and felt comfortable with the amount of PPE and social distancing. I went with the Philly cheese steak keeping it simple and tried and true. While the meal is simple the amount is plentiful, and the grill was cleaned and the food was hot and fresh. While you are going to pay more than subway you are going to get better quality bread, meat and cheese which is worth the cost right?
