Came here frequently when worked nearby years ago, and just revisited recently - the quality and value is just superb. I got a Sweet Thing - Cold sandwich with honey turkey and honey ham, and a few veggie modifications on french bread. Large, delicious and satisfying; enjoyed it over the course of two meals. If you can afford the calories I say eat your heart out. There are endless beverage, chip, and dessert options, it's insane. With so much inventory I'm always amazed at how they manage to keep the store so neat and organized. There are no empty spaces on the shelves, everything is always fully stocked. On my recent visit I placed an order online for pickup and even the website is appealing. You can build your own burger or hot/cold sandwich if you don't want the menu options and they have this easy, detailed check list of toppings, condiments, sauces, etc. for your to pick and choose whatever your tastebuds desire, there is something for every taste palate and they have excellent vegetarian sandwiches as well. As for the pastries, I try so hard to look the other way when I'm in the deli, but I always end up grabbing a sweet treat, like the Oreo cheesecake. They have cake slices, mini pies, bananas pudding, cookies, you name it. Lastly, The employees are always super nice, like literally, the customer service here is the absolute best. I had wondered will it be a full serving of meat for 4.50 extra or just half but as you can see below I shouldn't have been worried. I am a HUGE fan of Boar's Head meats and cheeses, they are always dependable for the excellent quality of their products. (Boar's Head Brand was established in the New York City area in 1905). Since this was our first time, and we were having a difficult time choosing from the tempting offerings, we relied heavily on the staff to help us. The woman taking our order was fantastic! She knew the menu inside and out. She gave us options and encouraged us to make additions and substitutions to fit our tastes. Hubby had the #1- Bold Cajun Turkey, Pepper Jack Cheese on Squaw with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, jalapenos, honey mustard & mayonnaise. When I ordered, they have a specialty sandwich called the "ZUZU SPECIAL" on squaw bread (pumpernickel). it's a breaded fried chicken patty, Cajun turkey with lots of toppings(I submitted photo of listed items" it comes with Cajun mayo and avocado, but I ordered without with a side of their honey bbq sauce. When you walk in, it's very spacious, two lines for ordering and pick up. (If you want to avoid lunch rush, order online for pick up) as it does get busy around 12-2pm hour. When I tell you it was one of the best sandwiches I had. It was seasoned and stuffed. Popped into Mike's Deli for a quick lunch and left totally impressed and very full! I got the tuna salad sandwich. Super flavorful and fresh. My boyfriend had the Zu Zu and kept saying 'you need to try this'. Portions were massive. We both saved half for later and were still stuffed. The cashier was so sweet and genuinely fun to chat with. To say that the parking lot craziness was worth it was an understatement. Deliciousness at its best. Every bite of our sandwiches was filled with loads of freshness and flavor. I thought we would be there for quite some time given the true madness of the parking lot and arrive there around lunch time. But this place has it down! My husband loves it with bacon on it, but I have them set it to the side. It is just great. The tuna is of great quality and it is cooked to perfection.
