Avocado and Cream Cheese on Everything Bagel

A really solid bagel option near LAX in Westchester. This area is not as walkable as West LA but the parking is a lot easier. They have a giant, free, parking lot directly behind the restaurant. The entire staff was very polite during our visit and everything that we ordered was ready very fast. They don't have a very large menu, but they do have a lot of great options on it. I like how they have many breakfast style sandwiches too which really gives options. Inside is quite large and they have indoor tables to dine in but most seem to get to go. My favorite part of this place is their large coffee bar. They have coffee ice cubs, as well as many coffee flavor options plus sweeteners and creamers. It was nice to have so many options. For our bagels we chose an Everything with avocado and cream cheese, and their Egg & Cheese bagel on Garlic. Both were pretty good but far from the best that I've had in LA. Sometimes I'm in the mood to drive further and wait longer for my favorite bagels in town, but when I'm not in the mood to do that or are in a rush Brooklyn Bagel is a great alternate option and I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Stopped in for breakfast bagel before a flight at LAX. Great tasting bagel breakfast sandwich. Their coffee is good too. Clean place with fast service & nice staff.

Always AMAZING fresh bagels. I will continue to come here even in traffic. I wish they sold their Brooklyn infusion coffee by the gallon because it is FIRE!!!!!! The staff is so friendly. The bagels are top on list. Do not even compare them to the lame chains these bagels are the BEST!!!!!

Just look at this Tuna Melt, absolutely amazing, the owner David is present and helping, with everything and talking to all the tables! What a friendly guy! I love places where the owner is engaged in his company and staff!

The bagels are huge compared to other bagel shops. Literally twice the size! You get a great value for what you order there. They are as close to NY type bagels as you can get on the west coast. They are tasty and toast up nicely. I had a plain toasted bagel with tuna and American cheese and it was a pretty good size sandwich. Their prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. They served pickles with my order. The cream cheese was delicious. I even bought some bagels and a container of cream cheese to take home. The quality of the smoked salmon (lox) was excellent. I wish they also offered some side dishes like potato salad or macaroni salad. I believe they only have hash browns. Customer service was outstanding! They were super friendly and really wanted to make sure we were happy with everything which we were! The restaurant has ample seating indoors. There is plenty of parking in the back parking lot.

Nice sandwich shop where I've found they are so much more than just bagels. It's a good place for a quick lunch pickup. I do enjoy a good breakfast sandwich on a bagel and their "Brooklyn Breakfast Sandwich" is really good and filling - it sustained me through the whole day. Their Pastrami Ruben on rye is also good with their spicy mustard, as is their Tuna Melt. I couldn't finish mine in one sitting so I split it and save half for dinner. After taxes and top, Sandwiches average $15@ - which seems to be the going price anywhere these days.

Garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese
    Nathan G.

I will give them credit for not having a tip line on the credit card reader. That is refreshing. I would love to give a hearty thumbs up to their bagels, but... I'm afraid middle of the road is the best I can do. The garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese ($5) was more, I don't know, bread roll-like than I expected. Garlic flavor was subtle, and they forgot to toast it (or toasted it extremely lightly). Scallion cream cheese was good. They were busy, so perhaps they appeal to others' tastes more than mine. Worth a try.

They need a new name because a real Brooklyn bagel shop would NEVR serve stale bagels from the day before at 7:30am. Truly appalling.

I don't know why this place opens early if they don't have bagels already ready to go come past 7 AM because they don't have bagels out yet

Is this still Brooklyn Water Bagel? Are the bagels still made using the "Brooklynized" water?

Yes - exactly the same. Recently there was some construction going on with the building itself - nothing to do with the bagels or restaurant as far as I was told; general upgrading.… Read more

My son suggested we stop at Ghost Sando Shop before I dropped him and his fiancée off. Great idea. My wife and I shared the Kickin' Chicken: chicken, BLAST spread, chipotle adobo, melted mozzarella and sharp cheddar, topped with lettuce, pickled jalapeño, tomato, and white onion. It was delicious. The guy at the counter was friendly and welcoming, and even delivered our sandwiches to us as we sat outside at one of the shaded tables - it was pleasant if you need a spot to eat versus taking it to go. One thing I really like on a sando is shredduce. It just makes a sandwich taste better. Not sure why. Ghost got it right. It wasn't busy shortly after opening on a Sunday, which was nice. I really enjoyed both the sandwich and the visit. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars.

It was delicious and the Dutch crunch bread was a good amount of crunch without being too hard that would rip open the roof of your mouth. I love the vegetable mix with it that included roasted peppers, pepperoncini but the Melrose spread was a tad bit much where it just oozed off the sandwich paper wrap. The sauce was good but a tad bit excessive. The staff was very nice but the food took longer than expected. Maybe that's because of them making it fresh but it seemed a tad bit longer than I expected for a non busy time I went (11am). Atmosphere is just your "fast" casual with outdoor seating which be nice when it doesn't become too cold or hot weather wise.

My order: * The Farm Club: You really can't go wrong with this one. The pickled red onions and herb aioli give it such a nice tang compared to a standard club sandwich. The turkey was high-quality and the bread held up perfectly. * Spicy Curried Couscous: I had to grab a side of their signature couscous, and it didn't disappoint. It has that signature roasted cauliflower and just the right amount of spice to balance out the sandwich. It's easily one of the best sides on their menu. The highlight of this visit was definitely sitting outside (inside is ok, a bit noisy and crowded). The patio area is clean, spacious, and perfect for catching some sun while you eat but most tables are shaded by umbrellas. Even though it's right off PCH, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the El Segundo breeze. A couple Tips: * Parking: The plaza can get a little tight during the peak lunch hour, so give yourself a few extra minutes or try to arrive just before the 12:00 PM rush. * Ordering: If you're in a hurry, their mobile pickup is always super seamless at this location and can help you get in and out or you can take your food and eat in the park like courtyard area. I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving a solid sandwich and some fresh air!
