I can't speak about their food as I was ordering and picking up for work. But their service was terrible. I called way in advance to order a dozen bagels, traveler sized coffee, and a platter of salmon. A male employee helped and said it would be under $100, my company's limit. Couple minutes later a female employee left me a voicemail about confirming if I still want a traveler as they only serve it for 8+ people. I called back, the male employee answered, and I confirmed yes. When I arrived, they did not have the traveler ready claiming I never confirmed, I told them I did. Apparently, the male employee never communicated that so they were scrambling to make it. I was late for work because of that! When we were finalizing the payment, it was $200! Apparently the male employee didn't factor in the price of the salmon platter despite me saying "salmon platter" 4 times over the phone! I had to decline the platter so I can keep it within budget. The female employee was accommodating and gave me two extra spreads as an apology for the mishap. I would have given this 1 star, but because she did an amazing job making the best of the situation, I'm giving it 3 stars. She's the saving grace. But the male employee whom I spoke to and worked at the counter, fire him! He's not a good listener, and not a great communicator. I repeated my order and even had him repeat it and he still got it wrong with the staff. If he did his job better I wouldn't be writing this terrible review. I ordered a breakfast bagel with egg and cheese. The cheese was American cheese which in my opinion is not cheese at all. I should have asked. The bagel was outstanding. I had a sesame bagel and I was surprised that there were actually sesame seeds on both sides of the bagel! The bagel had a good crunch and chewy inside. Very good! Don't waste your money on the coffee- the only kind of creamer they had was Coffeemate, and it was all flavored. So gross. I ditched it and went across the parking lot. The shop itself is dated and needs a redo and updo. Coffee and drinks are not conveniently situated to straws, stirrers, coffee jackets or lids. Very odd. Floor was dirty. Service was good - but not worth a second trip. Sorry Brooklyn- won't be back. read more

A really solid bagel option near LAX in Westchester. This area is not as walkable as West LA but the parking is a lot easier. They have a giant, free, parking lot directly behind the restaurant. The entire staff was very polite during our visit and everything that we ordered was ready very fast. They don't have a very large menu, but they do have a lot of great options on it. I like how they have many breakfast style sandwiches too which really gives options. Inside is quite large and they have indoor tables to dine in but most seem to get to go. My favorite part of this place is their large coffee bar. They have coffee ice cubs, as well as many coffee flavor options plus sweeteners and creamers. It was nice to have so many options. For our bagels we chose an Everything with avocado and cream cheese, and their Egg & Cheese bagel on Garlic. Both were pretty good but far from the best that I've had in LA. Sometimes I'm in the mood to drive further and wait longer for my favorite bagels in town, but when I'm not in the mood to do that or are in a rush Brooklyn Bagel is a great alternate option and I would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

My coworkers and I (teachers at a local school) have always loved ordering from Brooklyn Bagel. It's been a go-to spot for us, and we usually have great experiences, which is why today was especially disappointing. I ordered a lox bagel (which isn't cheap) and when it arrived, there was no lox inside at all. I called the store hoping for some help, but the employee told me it was a DoorDash issue and that the manager wasn't available to speak with me. What I'm struggling to understand is how this could be a DoorDash problem when the food arrived completely wrapped, bagged, and sealed. That suggests the mistake happened during preparation in the store. I would have appreciated more support or a clear solution instead of just being told, "I'll let my manager know." I had the strangest bagel I've ever eaten in my life here. The texture was all off, the outer crust was nonexistent, and the insides of the bagel sandwich I got were reminiscent of what you'd find at an airport Panera. It's just not giving high quality. That being said, I did have a sample of a muffin that I liked so despite the name, maybe it's better not to get a bagel here. But the bagel sandwich I got wasn't completely inedible so not the worst experience. Just a weird one. Vibes are kinda off here too. Wow, i just read a review that could have been written by me. It seems the exact same inexcusable thing happened to me as the Denay review from February 2026. And unfortunately, this is the second time it has happened where i didnt receive any LOX on the LOX and bagel sandwich, just like Denay. What is eerily similar to Denay is that when i called the person on the phone said the manager was unavailable and was extremely rude and playing dumb. I have ordered here for years and it is obvious now that the people working there are not focused on the customer's experience at all anymore. In the same order, they also sent me the wrong muffin and the lox sandwich was also made with the wrong bagel. (this is something else that has happened many times here, so it is basically a crap shoot whether you will get the type of bagel you want) The easy fix is that DoorDash/ Uber Eats restaurants can easily text the customer and let them know they dont have your bagel choice, and ask what kind of bagel would you like? But that has never happened. You just get what they decide to give you. And even decide to not give you things you paid for. I could have written this review many times before, but after reading the other review with almost the same exact experience i knew i had to chime in. Nice sandwich shop where I've found they are so much more than just bagels. It's a good place for a quick lunch pickup. I do enjoy a good breakfast sandwich on a bagel and their "Brooklyn Breakfast Sandwich" is really good and filling - it sustained me through the whole day. Their Pastrami Ruben on rye is also good with their spicy mustard, as is their Tuna Melt. I couldn't finish mine in one sitting so I split it and save half for dinner. The bagels are huge compared to other bagel shops. Literally twice the size! You get a great value for what you order there. They are as close to NY type bagels as you can get on the west coast. They are tasty and toast up nicely. I had a plain toasted bagel with tuna and American cheese and it was a pretty good size sandwich. Their prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. They served pickles with my order. The cream cheese was delicious. I even bought some bagels and a container of cream cheese to take home. The quality of the smoked salmon (lox) was excellent. I wish they also offered some side dishes like potato salad or macaroni salad. I believe they only have hash browns. Customer service was outstanding! They were super friendly and really wanted to make sure we were happy with everything which we were! The restaurant has ample seating indoors. Here at Brooklyn Bagels, a bagel's a bagel. Nothing super special but they at least had an option for me to choose from. As someone that's plant-based, the only spread they had for me was using avocados. I therefore ordered an everything bagel with avocados and added mushrooms and sautéed spinach. The amount of avocado they gave was honestly laughable and the sandwich felt very dry overall. My friend ordered a cream cheese bagel with fixings that made it much heartier. Fortunately, she was able to take the red onions and tomatoes on the side and gave them to me, which amped up my sandwich ten-fold. If you have friends ordering a heartier sandwich sans certain ingredients, ask to have them sidelined and given to you instead. Overall, it's a safe bagel shop but not one I'd be running back to anytime soon. read more

I wrote a review a couple of months ago for this place and was overall really pleased by the options that they offer. However I have been 5 or so more times over the past couple of months to get the coffee and have come to realize that I really only like the coffee and the self customization options. The bagels are mostly bland and don't taste like anything at all or they are overly salty, the staff generally is not in a good mood, and any of their sandwiches or add ons don't really help improve the food.
