I like trying new restaurants that come to the area. I have never had Jersey Mike's. The sub was Ok, a slight notch above subway. The lack of value is the shocker. We got a foot long turkey and a six inch turkey and the total was $27! I would rather go to about 15 different places for that kind of price. Tried out this new location by our house and we were disappointed. My husband said when they were making the sandwich they went very slow and even the person ringing us out went super slow. We asked for mustard and there was none. We asked for mikes way and we found our sandwich soggy from the amount of oil and vinegar they put on. For lunch today I went to Jersey Mike's. Even though I don't particularly like the local one on Signal Butte and Baseline, it's the closest to me. This was at about 12:35pm on 4/22/21). They were busy, and I saw the woman who was making the subs, going back and forth from handling cash to handling subs without changing gloves. I looked on in horror because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. After a moment, I just walked out and tried another sub place close by. Even before Covid, handling food and cash would have been disgusting - now it's potentially deadly! I am a big fan of Jersey Mike's as a chain. In fact, they are my favorite sub chain; however, I can't see myself ever going back in this location until they get their act together. This is what happens when the place is run by kids. I feel bad for them. My wrap took 30 minutes to make and the sandwich my husband ordered at the same time had been forgotten. THEN, when the "cook" brought "#26" 10 minutes later we walked out. One of the servers walked leisurely to our car to tell us the real #26 was "being wrapped up now"....good grief, how hard is it to make two sandwiches?? It wasn't terribly busy, everyone waited, no one seemed happy (customers). We decided to go here to avoid the wait at In and Out...how foolish were we? Needless to say we will not go back. read more

I ordered online thinking it would ensure my food was ready within a reasonable time. When I showed up at 6:40 as per the confirmation e-mail, my sandwich hadn't even been started. I proceeded to wait 40 MINUTES. I even asked an employee where my food was halfway through my wait and was told "We'll get that started for you right now" only to end up waiting 20 minutes before leaving empty handed. When I called to cancel my order and get a refund, an employee straight up lied to me and tried saying they had finished my sandwich right after I walked out the door. This was an absolutely HORRID experience and I will not be returning to, or recommending this location to anyone. This is hands down the best place for a good old fashioned sub. We love the Jersey Mikes near us in Minnesota and now there's this one. Yay!! Unlike other popular sub chains Jersey Mikes really piles on the cheese and meats. I always have my sub done "Mike's way" delicious! We were here yesterday and came back today. For your own health, don't eat here. Their lettuce was brown, I wouldn't even feed it to my turtle. They took their sweet time, which is fine they are getting paid to be there! Essential workers at their best. They took my order, but I guess a number 8 mikes way was too complicated for them, so they gave me a tuna. After 20 minutes of being there, I had to wait another 10 minutes just so they can actually make what I ordered! The staff was very rude, even to other customers. That 20 minutes I stood waiting for my wrong order, I could have spent driving to a better jersey mikes! Worst quality of staff & food! I placed an online order this afternoon (Friday) for two subs, one drink, and one bag of chips. I asked my admin to go and pick up the order. She drove straight to the location at Signal Butte and Baseline Rd. The subs were ready, but they argued with her about the drink and chips saying that we didn't order them. (Then pulled the receipt from the trash to verify that we did indeed order the drink and chips and it was paid for.) That would be irritating, but not terrible. We both got sub sandwiches, mine was a Tuna and hers was a Philly Cheesesteak that we requested with extra bell peppers on half. Her sub did not have extra bell peppers. My Tuna sub was the soggiest, messiest, most inedible thing I've ever been served in a restaurant. The bread was the consistency of a bowl of oatmeal. My desk was covered in oil, or vinegar, or grease- something. The brown paper bag it came in was translucent now. I couldn't taste tuna on the sandwich at all- although I'm sure it was part of the mush that I'm looking at. I decided to email their guest relations prior to posting this review. I did not hear back from them. (I waited from Friday until Monday morning.) UPDATE: I was emailed by their director or operations on Tuesday morning and invited to order again and have lunch on them. If I decide to do that, I will update my review.) $21.65 is a lot of money to pay for inedible food- especially when you pass no less than three subways, one jimmy johns, a firehouse subs, submasters, krazysub, and a subslingers to get to Jersey Mike's. read more

I was in this location about a week ago, the line was to the door at about 12:00. It took about 25 minutes to get my order and was very chaotic through the entire process, what I witnessed was quite amazing. The manager whom I met today on my third visit to this location was extremely calm. Even with all the chaos, he managed to keep his crew calm. "Calm is key," I told him he was to be commended for the way he handled the crowd and his employees under pressure. I think folks forget that most of his young staff are probably working their first position ever and were probably overwhelmed, to say the least. Mistakes are going to be made! Wade managed to keep his employees calm and praise their work regardless. Sure they may have a lot to learn, but they are lucky to have Wade Woodward as their manager. Remember folks, this could have been your child working their first position. Life lessons are so important, the Jersey Mikes corporate office should be extremely happy with Wade and how he is representing them and especially how he manages his employees. So for all who were not impressed, give these folks a month and I bet you will be impressed with the food and location. Thank you Wade, it was a pleasure to meet and speak to you on my last visit. You have some lucky kids working for you, I am sure you will teach them not only to make a great sandwich but some life skills they can use forever. The roast beef sub was the worst I ever tasted! It was definitely not fresh. Also the staff was doing a poor job of cleaning the tables and controlling the trash. Someone emptied the overflowing trash can and then walked past the few pieces that ended up on the floor like it didn't matter. Jersey Mike's is my favorite place, but the last few times being into this location, I've left very displeased with the lack of professionalism and zero work ethic by many of the teens working here. They don't wipe down their counters at all and you will easily wait 20 plus mins for a sub or wrap with one other person ahead of you. Most of the time one person will be doing all the work while another waits to put your food into the paper bag. Nobody smiles or thanks you and they all seem pretty miserable. The manager should be embarrassed they allow this to continue. read more

Once again I placed my order online and these people didn't do anything it even comes close to looking like what it's supposed to be my sandwich is soaked with oil and vinegar when I asked not to have any there is no veggies in the salad it appears as though they doubled the meat and the cut half of the veggies out of the salad when I started trying to get the man to remake the salad customer started shouting at me not to order online and not to order on the phone because it slows down their orders. The big problem is this place doesn't ever listen to what you order we often have to turn around and come back this time once again not the first time but no salad dressing for the salad and you order a sub in a tub you expect to be able to have some dressing to go with it maybe and once again we will pass down to the neighborhood what is going on at this place I don't recommend that anyone come here ever again. read more

Glad they opened one up near my house, now I don't have to drive all the way out to queen creek. Clean and new! Crew is very friendly. Online ordering currently is working 100% , places my order on the app and when I got there they had t started to make my order yet because they had to print the order out manually and then make it while I waited. Food is always good, very rare I get a bad sandwich from these guys. Only reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 star is due to the online ordering issue. I want to tell you how much we love Jersey Mikes. We were a Jersey Mikes family before my experience today. Now we would never go to any other sub place EXCEPT Jersey Mikes. We had a friend who just lost her 37yr old daughter this morning. I called Jersey Mikes (Mesa AZ - Signal Butte and Baseline) to have food delivered to my friend and her family. I got a lady named Maddi when I called. I explained to her my reason for ordering so much and she told me that they do not normally deliver but in this case she would be more than happy to get it to the family and deliver it herself when she got off work. I couldn't believe it! I said to her you don't need 24hrs notice? She said no...I will through fresh cookies in the oven right now. I thanked her over and over and asked her how to get her a tip. I'm originally from South Philly, and I'm in the restaurant business for over 40years. Last week after a hard day on the floor, I got off a little early on my previous visit to your store in Mesa, AZ. I noticed your hours of operation, I thought well if traffic allows I might be able to make it before they close, 34 miles later I pulled up and yes they were open, it was about 9: 30pm, I walked in and was greeted warmly by two ladies behind the counter, they had just started their closing procedures, being in the business I apologized for being so close to closing, the ladies said don't worry, how may we help you, no hesitation to help me, they were so nice I had to apologize again. I ordered my regular # 13 Giant, they made my order perfectly, just like it was the first order of the day, I was amazed, we laughed about my driving technique'to get there before closing, and my wife's surprise when I get home with this great surprise, she loves # 13, The ladies wrapped it all up bagged the sandwich and wished me a good evening, and hoped that my wife would enjoy my surprise. I walked out the door, hauled my tired self into my truck and sat for a moment and smiled, I thought about how nice the ladies were, how nice they were, but most of of all I thought that's how a service business should be.
