Culver's, whyyyyy. I lived in WI for a portion of my life and this was the spot. I want so badly to love Culver's in AZ, but this Crismon location is making that impossible! Ordered a couple weeks ago and they didn't give a receipt so I couldn't add the points for my order to my account and the specialty burgers my husband and I ordered were just meh. Barely any sauce and not hot. Decided to give it another go tonight after a long night and just needing some food.... My husband gets home to find they gave us ONE burger instead of the two ordered and charged us for. Guess who is now on his way back to Culver's to get it corrected? This place sucks. It used to be so good and it's just gone so downhill. You order a burger and now you have to tell them everything you want on it? Even though they have different burgers on the menu, with photos of how they are build differently. Like the deluxe has lettuce and tomato, etc and the regular butter burger has onions, pickles and mustard, etc. You used to just be able to go up, order a burger and that was it. Now I have to tell them everything even though I'm ordering based off what I see on the menu? The workers are not friendly, clearly they hate being there. This was our first time trying this chain restaurant's food as we aren't from Arizona. We stopped by because we read online they have a vegetarian selection. Upon entering, we were the only ones at the front and therefore the cashier welcomed us. We asked for her to give us a minute and she didn't respond. She stood there and stared at us. We apologized for the delay and mentioned it was our first time here. She proceeded to just wait for us to be ready and made us feel rushed to order even though there was nobody else there to order. We finally placed our order and went to sit down. The soda at this specific location didn't taste good so we'd probably pass on that in the future. However, the burgers themselves were good. Where to even begin? Words cannot explain the terrible service and treatment I recently received at this Culver's location. I ordered 3 value basket meals at the drive thru. While ordering, the order taker was clearly not listening to what I was ordering. He stopped me in the middle of my order asking me questions that I already answered while placing my order. (I ordered a single patty hamburger, he's asking if I want cheese and if I want a double patty). I paid and pulled forward to wait for my order. The order was not repeated back to me at any time after me placing the order. The lady who brought me my order (her name tag said Amanda, but who knows if that's really her name) brought me 2 value basket meals, not the 3 that I ordered. Instead of her asking what was missing from the order and offering to go get it, to correct the mix up, she immediately became defensive. She was extremely rude, condescending in her tone, and accusatory! She was accusing me of trying to get a free meal! She kept saying over and over, "You only payed for 2!" I understand that, but I ordered 3. If I need to provide you with more money, that was not the issue. I just wanted what I ordered. She went round and round looking at the receipt and pointing at the 2 burgers that were ordered on the receipt (yet the order on the receipt was completely incorrect). She was not making herself clear at all with her attitude and pointing at the receipt. She finally said she would go get the missing cheeseburger and she made her way back into the restaurant. I ordered 2 burgers and 1 cheeseburger. I looked inside the bag to find 1 burger and 1 cheeseburger. So I went inside the restaurant to inform her that I needed the missing burger, not another cheeseburger. When I walked inside, I walked in on all the employees here talking smack about me and laughing at me! Unbelievable! I informed her that I just needed the missing burger from my order and I went back to my car to wait. Amanda and all these other Culver's employees were totally blaming me on this whole thing, yet the order taker took down the order incorrectly! Maybe they should be talking smack about their own order taker! Once home, I discovered that the order taker also put me down for a double deluxe cheeseburger which I NEVER ordered! This is why the total of my order was so much higher and why I assumed they got my order of 3 value baskets. The whole ordeal was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. I also work with the public and if you want to make fun of someone or be talking smack about them, please at least wait until they leave the parking lot or leave the premises! And FYI - did you ever consider that maybe the customer is talking smack about you......???? You clearly provided PLENTY of content to work with! read more

Culvers ice cream is so delicious. They call it something else and concrete mixers. I like the smooth and creamy taste of it. I don't like when there are ice crystals in it as much. Sometimes there are though when the ice cream scoops have water on them. Their hamburgers are pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way for them like I would the ice cream. Some of their other food is also not too memorable either. Their French fries are pretty top notch. I would just order ice cream and French fries though that is not the healthiest. Their French fries so far have been great in texture and taste. I am not a fan of the cheese curds spice in their coating. It tasted like stuffing. Maybe it was rosemary but I like rosemary too some degree. Their service is pretty fast but they get busy. When they are busy the service gets slower. read more

We went to culvers for a sweet treat last night and once again, we were disappointed. I had a concrete with Chocolate Syrup and Heath and my wife had a Banana Split. Ok, we were served pretty quick, and we ate our treats, and I told my wife that I was not really liking mine due to it had just like a sprinkle of Heath in it and it was all on the bottom. She tells me that she had no Banana in her banana split and I said, are you kidding me. So, before I left, I went to the counter and Lee the cashier, asked the guy that made the Banana Split if he put banana in it and he said, oh, I forgot. Back in late February, my friend and I came here for an early lunch after running the Lost Dutchman Half Marathon. Thankfully, they opened at 10 am. They located on Crismon Rd, just north of the 60 freeway. I ordered the Culver's Deluxe with cheese curds and a concrete mixer. I got the concrete mixer with salted caramel and bananas. We got our drinks first. Then they brought out our food to our table once it was ready. We received good service and the food was delicious. This location used to be better. Over the last few months, the service has declined and the store is not as clean as it was. We have stood at the counter with employees looking at us but apparently they are not the ones that can help us so they say nothing and the cashier is no where to be seen. It seems that no one is responsible for sweeping the floor. It must be easier to leave trash where it is. That makes it unfortunate for the carpet that has definitely seen better days. If you order custard I recommend you stand at the counter and wait for it. It will still be a lengthy wait, but at least it won't be delivered melted. Not to say the service is slow, but it is. I was a full service restaurant manager and even a fast food restaurant manager in my younger days so I know it is not an always an easy job. But it seems it is too hard for this location. read more

First of all, I love frozen custard and discovered it three years ago in Wisconsin. I had never heard of it before but now that I know about it, it one of my favorites. I just happened to be driving down Crissom Rd in Mesa and just happened to look east past the intersection and saw it, SCORE!!. Needless to say, I was excited. Aug 26, 2019, S Crismon location. Stop #2 of my day adventure to try 5 companies chicken sandwich. I placed an order for the spicy chicken sandwich only. The total for it was $5.73. Total wait time in the line and until I received the food was 6 minutes. The sandwich arrived and was wrapped in a piece of paper. The sandwich had shredded lettuce, tomato, and a few thick slices of pickle. The bun was a medium to large size and the breaded chick filled most of it. The outside was lightly breaded. I took a bite and the sandwich was still nice and hot. The sandwich had a good bite experience to it. On the initial bite and each subsequent chew you fully tasted the chicken and the crunch of the breading uniquely. I did not find that on any of the other 4 companies chicken sandwiches I tried today. The spice was very mild. The pickles on it were mild tasting and complimented the overall experience of the sandwich. The chicken was an actual breast piece and not processed like some companies do. But then again this is also not the dollar menu chicken sandwich either. There was 3 very tiny pieces of cheddar cheese in the box when it arrived. I am not sure if the cheddar cheese shreds are part of the order, or just found their way into the box somehow. I have of course attached pictures of my experience. I would put this sandwich at #2, on the list for which I liked the best of the 5 companies I tried today. The only thing holding it back from #1 was it wasn't close to as juicy as the #1 choice I liked. Don't get me wrong, this sandwich was juicy, and not dry in anyway, but not anywhere close to my #1 pick.
