I had the green chili double/no mayo and the wife had a single combo. The burger was hot, juicy, fresh and the green chili flavor was there. Wife enjoyed her burger and fries. I haven't been to many Whataburgers since I don't eat meat. Stopped in for breakfast and mentioned I was vegetarian, Armando was so nice! No weird looks like I often get at fast food places. I ended up getting pancakes which come with a side of sausage, I told him to keep it in the order for my husband. When he brought the order out he had it packaged separately from the pancakes so it didn't touch them. So thoughtful! The place was nice and clean too! read more

It's a Whataburger. While I typically enjoy this place, I have not been in several years. The food was about as I remember it, which is a solid OK. You can order from kiosks, which is nice, but you still have to get your drink cups from a person so that you can head to the fountain. There didn't seem to be any communication between the kiosk and the employees who were on shift (and not helping anyone else) because we had to track someone down and tell them that we ordered drinks at the kiosk and needed our cups. We got a suspicious look, which made it feel like they thought we weren't being truthful. Seriously, do many people walk into a fast food restaurant and steal soda by asking for a cup at the counter? If you don't know Whataburger and want to try it out, I suggest skipping this one, even though it looks shiny and new. I don't expect table service at a fast food place, but I do expect someone to care that there are customers in the place. If you know Whataburger and can look past the shortcomings (maybe some of it is opening/growing pains), the food I ordered was fine. I suggest not requesting too many changes to the standard, though, as that seemed to throw the whole machine into chaos when my wife tried. For some reason my husband has been itching to go to a Whataburger lately. I was game, even though we noticed the two star reviews here. I understand that fast food isn't fine dining. But wow - my meal was so bad I threw more than half of it away. The bun was stale. I don't like just plain mustard so I added ketchup and mayo. Huge mistake. It was like someone applied them with a fire hose and there were condiments oozing and glopping out everywhere. I used multiple napkins to try to shear some of that mess off the burger and clean up the wrapper. The fries looked appealing but were lifeless and tasteless. Ah, well. For about a year since this location opened, I've been meaning to stop in as I've always loved their onion rings and chocolate shakes. My Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I decided to stop by through the drive thru to take to eat at her house. We both were very happy with the food quality and the prices. Though the $.40 for a Ranch threw us off as she didn't expect that. She did advise it was a decent portion for $.40 but wasn't her favorite in flavor, so it's a skip next time. Since we dined in the drive thru, I didn't get to see the interior but from driving by it seemed clean and comfortable to dine in. Gluten free eater. I haven't had a whataburger since I was in New Mexico over a decade ago. I was hoping for green chili on my burger. Did not disappoint. If my pinnacle of fast food burgers is in and out this place is solid. The green chili burger was ordered without the bun. The tea was good, not my favorite fast food tea but I would get it again. And the fries were golden and salted well. My husband gor the avocado bacon burger and he had a similar experience as I. It's not the best out there but for what it offered it was good. I must admit there were some hiccups when they first opened but went yesterday and it was great! Long line in the drive thru so we went inside, staff was friendly, looked like they were training someone new, but were efficient and helpful. The girl with the orange bow who looked like she might be the manager was great, she answered customer and employee questions, was friendly and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. Everything was very clean even the bathroom. I like that behind the drinks you can kind of see into part of the kitchen too. Food is always delicious even when they were having some long waits. It's obvious that the people that work here couldn't care less about the food they are putting out. Whataburger used to be so good. Times have changed for sure. We got 2 burgers. My husband took a bite out of his and it had no meat. He took the bun off and the patty was folded in half. They didn't even bother to lay it flat on the bun. My burger has a big lump in the middle. When I took the bun off there was 4 slices of tomatoes that looked like a tomato was just plopped down, wasn't separated a bit. Everything was plopped in the center on the burger, pickles, tomato, onions and lettuce. If there is this little effort in making this product, what goes on behind the scene. First time here was just after they opened. They were only able to do drive thru orders so we waited for a while after we ordered our food. Our green chili burgers had maybe a 1/4 teaspoon of green chili and no lettuce or tomato even though we requested and paid extra for it. The burger was cold and the bun seemed a bit dry. We figured it was due to the chaos of just opening We went again a couple of days ago. There was only one vehicle in line but I still had to wait for a while to get to the window. When I finally got there they gave me our drinks and asked me to pull forward and wait for our food. I'm thinking it's going to be fresh so I didn't mind. We're only a few minutes away so when we got our food out to eat we got skinny shoestring undercooked fries, and another cold hamburger with a dried out bun. First and last time at Whataburger! Talk about disappointing! I had been seeing tons of Whataburger locations all over the valley area of AZ and saw that they opened one up closer to my location. I ordered online via their website and the website was not user friendly. The estimated pick up time was incorrect. Had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our food. Ordered some burgers with fries and a kids meal. The burgers were tasteless, extremely bland, and lukewarm. One of the burgers was completely coated in grease. It was so greasy, it was slimy! Yuck! Ordered mustard and there was hardly any mustard on the burgers. Fries could have been cooked more. The dessert was missing from the kids meal. The drinks were completely filled with ice and hardly any soda. Will not be returning! The parking lot to this location is an absolute nightmare! I work nights at Amazon, I've gone here several times around 1AM -3AM and the food is always good. The service however is amazing. The people that work the overnights are so friendly.
