Let me start out by saying that if my wife didn't like Five Guys, I'd never go. Maybe it's this location but the drink machine in this place never gives a good tasting soft drink. NEVER!! Last Nite, I tried all of the flavors because the Diet DR. Pepper tasted like seltzer water. I looked around and no one else in there had soft drinks, they were drinking water instead. The burgers were good, no doubt, but for not being very busy, someone should go out and do some kind of quality control in here. Yeah, I haven't had five guys in a while and my experience was awful. I ordered a Shake -- it's liquid. Like - you would think the employees are trained to not serve something that does not meet expectations. Which also means I was serve under temp shake mix or they didn't allow for it to freeze. Then, I asked for easy ketchup and mustard, and I get it on both buns and management's response was it comes like that - well duh that's why emphasized "easy" . Also, I get soggy buns because they transfer the grilled onions over with the excessive grease/oil. Instead I just paid for extra buns... and on top of that I get charged two complete sets of buns. When I just wanted one for my soggy burger buns to replace them. And they would of known if they care about situation. Probably should use the LEARN model. I had their small cheeseburger (single patty) meal at this location yesterday and I'm still not impressed. With tip it was $17 and the burger was just okay/average. Lots of fries in the bag and they 're generally pretty good, but would rather have a bigger and tastier burger and less fries. 5 Guys gets lots of praise on social media, but I don't get it. When bottles of malt vinegar are set out with the condiments for French fries that says it all!! Offering fresh veggies like bell pepper, jalapeños, tomatoes, mushrooms, slap some mayo on the bun and voilà! Although come to think of it, the jalapeños did not even have any type of heat or flavor!! It was just like a mini bell pepper. I did call and tell the manager. The service was very good very professional and asked for light salt on the french fries and delivered perfectly seasoned. I enjoy visuals of the different city and Five Guy posters on the walls. I have always been a major five guys fan. Their burgers are one of the best. This specific location has always been great every time I've gone. On this visit I was taking my brother out to lunch. The staff was fast and very friendly. When looking for a seat I noticed this location was very clean too. I ordered a cheeseburger for me (good to note that a cheeseburger is a double patty while a little cheeseburger is a single patty), a large fry for my brother and I to share, and a cheeseburger for my brother. The food was made really fast! Everything was accurate as well. The fries always come overloaded which I find well worth the price! Me and my brother couldn't even finish a large together. The burgers also come big and condiments are done generously. The food tastes so fresh and comes out hot every time. Everything is also easy to decipher as the burgers are numbered on the receipt and on their wrapping, so you know who's is who's without unwrapping. Five guys is always a treat and I will always return! This location is always clean, friendly, and fast! read more

I love Five Guys but this location was very disappointing. The food was good but the restaurant was dirty. They were very busy this evening and I get it. However, I went to the counter and asked for a towel to clean our table that was dirty and sticky. The guy behind the counter went to the back and brought me out a dry towel. I asked for some cleaner or soap and he told me that he could not hand that to me. I asked if he could just put some spray on the towel and I'd be happy to clean the table myself. It was the only available table left for dining and it was really dirty. He said no, so I asked if he would please wipe the table down. His response was no because they were too busy. So you're happy to take my tip when I paid for the food but now you're asking me to sit at a gross table to eat my food? I wish I never tipped to start off! I have held off on putting a negative review on this location. But after multiple wrong orders I have reached my limit. When a person is paying $18 for a bacon dog and Cajun fries there isn't a lot of forgiveness for an order but 3 different times enough is enough. I would think it would have triggered a ut oh when I asked the lady who had just made my fries and handed me my bag for extra cajun seasoning, and telling her that I love a little extra that there was a mistake with the order. I don't know much more that I could do as a customer other than physically unwrapping my food before leaving to make sure that the order was right I tip every time I say clearly what I want and thus a third time wrong order. I'm done sadly with this location as it's been multiple times and as the saying goes it falls on me after a while to keep coming back. read more

I will say, Five Guys is my preferred fast food burger joint (as far as chain establishments). Their ingredients are FRESH, and it absolutely shows. You really do get what you pay for here, even if the cost is relatively STEEP in comparison to other burger joints. What makes their burgers: the FRESH ground beef. You can totally tell the difference. The patties are made to order, definitely not frozen. So you really cannot go wrong- total juicy goodness! I also appreciate that ALL toppings/condiments are included... but it would be nice to get some sort of a discount if you aren't opting for EVERYTHING on your burger, because let's be real: $10+ is REALLY steep for a bacon cheeseburger! No, they aren't "small" burgers, but I also don't feel like they are worth the hefty inflation in cost. And if I'm only getting one condiment, cheese & lettuce- why am I still paying the inflation for everything included?? Cajun fries are the way to go. Because really, while the fries are also FRESH... that comes with a bit of a downfall in potato land. They may as well be "steak fries" because they are thick & have an extremely heavy potato/starch taste. ...and totally full of grease because they absorb it while frying. You can tell they aren't soaking & pressing to remove the abundance of starch. So without the Cajun seasoning, you really have a pile of soggy, heavy, bland potatoes. But- they DON'T skimp on portions!! A "small" is literally enough to feed 2-4! So the cost for a side of fries is not at all unreasonable. The milkshakes are made fresh, to order. Excellent selection of flavors, too! But, I felt mine was rather watery. And when they ask if you want whipped cream- ask for "extra", otherwise you only get a small dollop. I ended up having to put the milkshake in the freezer for about an hour when I got home to "thicken" it up, otherwise it was more like chocolate milk consistency. But still, hands down worth the cost because: FRESH. The presentation could use some heavy improvement. Fast food is what it is: FAST... but you don't have to literally DUMP the fries in the bag on top of other food! I don't even understand the concept of their dinky, round containers to hold the fries... they are WAY too small for the amount of fries provided. And I had to literally DIG through them to retrieve the burger, at the bottom of the bag under all the greasy fries... to find a totally empty container that was supposed to be holding them... that was not enjoyable. What is the point of having a container if you aren't going to place the fries IN it?! So, needless to say- the entire bag was SOAKED in grease/oil by the time I got home. Very messy & unappealing. Overall, I do prefer this establishment to other fast food burger joints. But won't visit often because of how expensive it is. It's probably best to split fries & shakes between two, because the portions are plentiful in that aspect. Bonus: snack on the abundance of shelled peanuts while you wait! While the food is good, the owner of this particular 5 Guys (and the franchisee) might be interested to know how they treat customers. We ordered to go ($50 for 3 burgers & 2 fries + 1 shake) and the young man was pleasant enough, and we sought out a table to wait for our food. We had a difficult time finding a table without trash and/or food debris- even though it we were the only customers in the restaurant. We had to settle for a spot with a 1/2 clean table. They called our order, and I asked if I could please get some ketchup & he acted confused, so I repeated the request & he said we have this - pointing to a pump- or this fingering thru a bin of ketchup packets- yes, ketchup, thank you? Just odd. After arriving home we realized my husband's $5 Shake wasn't given to us. Great, they were about to close & we are 15 minutes away, and too tired to return anyways so I called up the store. A young woman answered and I explained what happened & she said "okay, you can come in and get it". I explained that I couldn't get there in time and asked if she could refund the $5 to my card which I used to pay ($50 for 3 burgers/2 fries & a shake). She said with a condescending chuckle "No, that's not how we run our business", I added that it was inconvenient for me- "That's how we do it" she interrupted, and I tried to add "I meant inconvenient that he forgot - CLICK, she hung up on me. Not once did she apologize. Inexcusable. Keep your expensive albeit tasty food if this is how you treat customers. I have to admit the Five Guys at Ray & 48th St in Ahwatukee spoiled me! I use to go there all the time and buy a regular order of fries and it was always perfect! Potatoes cut in the store, fried for just the right amount of time, with the right amount of salt and always a generous amount of fries in the brown bag when they hand it to you. The problem is I live near the Five Guys on Power Rd. There is no consistency between the stores. The last time I came here to get a reg order of fries a couple months ago, the fries weren't cooked enough. I thought, it happens, I'll give them another chance. Today I popped in and ordered the same - a reg order of fries. These are not cheap! It is over $5 with tax for a reg order! When I walked up to the counter to pick up my bag I could tell right away they had skimped because the bag was really light. I even said to the young woman that the bag didn't feel like $5 worth of fries and she just looked at me. As I ate them while I drove back to work I couldn't believe how salty they were! Not exaggerating, these were the saltiest fries I've ever had. And they were over cooked. When I lifted the cup up that they put the fries in, it was not even half full. They definitely skimped on this order. I'm very disappointed with this location! An essential worker comes in and tries to support your store during the COVID-19 crisis and you dropped the ball. Came to FiveGuys last night on my way to work, ordered my burger and when I got to work found they put cheese on the burger which I'm sure wouldn't be an issue for most BUT I have a Lactose intolerance so I can't eat cheese. I called and talked to Javen (said he was the manager) told him about the issue and he apologized and said they have a new guy on the grill (excuse for it being made incorrectly) I told him I wanted a refund because I cannot eat the burger. He said I would need to come back to the store. I told him I'm at work, I work in a hospital, I cannot leave. He advised me the only way to be refunded is to come back. Obviously that's wasn't possible last night. I asked him to speak to a manager above him and he replied that manager isn't here and he would tell me the same thing anyway. So I came back today. Just to find that they don't open till 11 and what do you know I have to be to work at 11 so YET ANOTHER inconvenience.
