This particular Jersey Mike's is an excellent choice for subs. The staff on a Sunday afternoon were premier. There's a young woman who studying to be a nurse and she was excellent at slicing the meat and preparing the sandwiches. There was a young guy with her who was excellent as her back up. He did a great job of putting all the toppings on the sandwiches that she prepared. The place is very clean and the folks behind the counter are so friendly. A nice overall environment. I love Jersey Mike's. I have yet to get a sandwich that doesn't taste delicious. Everything is always freshly sliced which makes a ton of difference compared to Subway where the meats are pre-sliced and sits in a tub for however long. And the Giant size is always filling and can feed me for 2 or 3 meals. And I'm a big guy. They are never shy with the meats and toppings. And get bacon on the subs. So! I go into this place @ 4:35, before my 15hr shift down the street. First off, them lil fluffers never greeted me! Then take like 5 minutes to take my order even though there's literally one person in front of me. Start making my order (finally) and let's call him "Thing 1". Well thing 1, starts making my order on the grille and passes the duty to thing 2! Thing 2 had at this point added another order to the grill and throws the meat on to cook.... Mind you!! When he was done cooking and packing my food, I asked thing 2 for veggies on the side(even though there were containers up front clearly visible) thing 2 proceeded to go to the back for one, when he came back out(it was 4:53pm at this point) he packed my veggies WITH THE SAME GLOVES HE TOUCHED THE MEAT WITH!!!!! I'm not a traditionalist when it comes to cheesesteaks. All that noise about these people in Philly slathering their cheesesteaks with freakin' cheese whiz... Nah man. I'm not down with that. And neither is Jersey Mike, apparently. The chipotle cheesesteak at Jersery Mike's comes out on a 7.5" super-soft, fresh bun. The meat is always pipping hot and coated to perfection with white American cheese, which in my opinion is the best cheese for this type of sammich. It mixes the flavors of the onions and green peppers with the meat, and the secret ingredient, the chipotle mayo, just sets it's off. I wanted to try something different for lunch one afternoon and thanks to Yelp, I was able to find Jersey Mike's sub shop. To some it up, I'd compare it very closely to Jimmy John's. The menu's are very similar to me, but just different sandwich names. The lines move fast and the orders are fulfilled quickly. Overall the food is good, but I'm not a fan of their bread rolls, they just seem bland to me. Not really sure why that is. No attention paid to the dirty conditions of this location. Management should be ashamed of the appearance of this place. From time I walked in I've doubted my choice of dining. Went to wash up and the employee that left the restroom washed their hand in cold water. How do I know cause the water was ice cold when I used the sink right after he left the bathroom. The toilet brush has toilet paper all over it like they used it to in clog a drain. Floors are completely filthy and so are the baseboards. The display case is full of dried up blood and the cheese in the case is speckled like they fell in the floor. Under the display isn't much better nor are the air vents. If I get sick I know exactly where it came from. I should've have walked out once I saw the bathroom. The napkin dispenser is also a hot mess and the bucket next too it is full of dried up lemon seeds and dirty. read more

Tell ya what... I feel privileged having a Jersey Mike's right down the street from our apartment. I order the same sub every time and they get it right every time. Gotta love the consistency. Here's what else I love: the "sandwich artists". Really I do! This is one of the friendliest crews you will every meet, and they work together as a unit. I came here on a day when they were stack packed and they still managed to keep the line moving with a magical combination of customer service and team work. I was seriously impressed. Overall, this chain has the potential to be five stars. They carry Pepsi products Here is what they do wrong: 1- they skimp on the portions of meat and cheese. They are so stingy, we actually pay for double meat to actually get enough protein to know what kind of sub it is! If you get a turkey sub, they slices are thin and piled/ folded to give the impression there is more there. Just go ahead and ask for double meat and get ready to pay for it! 2- overpriced!!! It's a lot of cash for their largest sub. For that kind of money, you can go to a sit down restaurant. 11-13$ for a large "giant" sub is crazy. Then add extra $ gif double meat! Ouch! 3- Steak sandwiches- tasty, but our was loaded with gristle! Had to pick out the gristle. If you want a solid steak sub, hit Delco or Big Jim's. What they do right: 1- bread is great 2- meatballs are among the best at a chain (still like Firehouse meatballs more) 3- Tuna- theirs is the best at a chain 4- fresh sliced cold cuts- the concept is great, they are just way too cheap 5- customer service- they treat customers very well I still think that Firehouse is better. Jersey Mike's is now my favorite sandwich shop. I got the veggie sub, and the bread is super soft and thick, the ingredients are piled high, and the dressing and seasoning are perfect. I definitely recommend the pepper relish too. That made it absolutely amazing! It's also super fast. I was out of there in less than 3 minutes. It's not the cheapest place, but I'd rather pay more than get a $5 foot long with skimpy ingredients, if you know what I'm saying. Publix is good but is SLOW. Jimmy Johns is good and fast, but I give Jersey Mike's the edge. 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a fast food sandwich shop, after all. read more

I've had two Jersey Mike's experiences of which one was good and one was not so good. Their cheesesteaks are good but it's never my go-to cheesesteak. I do like how they offer a variety of different types of cheesesteaks and I applaud them for the selection. Their meats and cheeses are sliced thin and the bread has been fresh over my past two visits, which is always a plus. I don't add too much to a sub although the condiments and toppings I do add have been just fine. I had Jersey Mike's for the first time a few days ago and I was looking forward to trying a new sub place, but I have to say I wasn't too impressed with the sandwich I got. It was extremely messy, because it was drenched in chipotle mayo and it looked as if it was thrown together in a matter of seconds. It was a nice hot sub (which I liked). The bread was the worst part... it was doughy and tasted salty. The meat/sauce/veggies was good though, so all in all I would say if I got a better piece of bread for my sandwich it would've been better. I think this is better tasting than Subway, but not even close to the taste you get at Firehouse Subs in my opinion. If I'm going to pay $7-8 for a sub I'd get one at firehouse. They are excellent. I am a big Jersey Mike's fan to begin with. Maybe it's because I am from 'Joisey'. But I must say that this particular location is by far the best one I've been to. The crew that works here would be the crew I'd want at any restaurant I owned. I assume in the training that the crew at any Jersey Mike's is told to be cheery & to engage the customer by asking the customer how the customer's day is going & to ask what fun things they have planned. The thing is that at other Jersey Mike's the crews are not as cheery & the questions feel like they're being asked because that's part of their job. Incidentally the worst Jersey Mike's I've been to is the new one on Main Street in Dunedin, FL. At this Jersey Mike's they pull it off well, because the crew comes across as a happy & engaging work team. It's very impressive. Hey, but let's talk about the food. The sandwiches are much better, in my opinion, than at other chains like Subway. The meat & bread seem higher quality, & the final marriage of flavors can't be beat. One of the condiments that crowns the sandwich is a "red spread" that I'm guessing is made from chopped cherry peppers & vinegar. You don't ever want to forget ordering that as a topping. It is what sends their sandwich over the top. By the way, I always get the #13. I get it with all their condiments except jalapeños & mayo. Then I have them add extra red vinegar. read more

This is a step up from Subway for sure and at least as good or better than Firehouse, however there are unnecessary problems which need to be fixed. The good news is that the bread is excellent, the fresh cut deli meat is FAR higher quality than the other sandwich chains. If you can visit Jersey Mikes in between the Lunch rush and Dinner time, you are likely to get an outstanding sub that is at least 4-star quality or even higher. Now comes the bad news. Because they are so much better than Subway, they are VERY busy at peak times. When they are very busy their Assembly Line process breaks down at the "Mike's Way" level. And what I mean by this is that the workers are rushed...and when they are rushed, the making of subs turns into a disgusting free-for-all of Vinegar and other ingredients being shot all over the counter and YOUR food while they are making other people's subs. Now I happen to HATE Vinegar...I mean I really, really hate Vinegar...but when it's busy at Lunch time, it's impossible for me to get a sub that doesn't have some hint of Vinegar on it because the person ahead of me in line is getting his sub "Mike's Way" and the employee is squirting Vinegar over the entire counter and then dragging my sub through it when I'm next. Until they "clean up" their Assembly Line process, this place is basically inedible for me during Lunch hours or any time it's really busy. Now this is a problem that is easily solved by the employees behaving in a more careful and more hygienic manner, but if you ask them to avoid squirting Vinegar everywhere or to clean the counter well before they re-use it, the employee looks at you like you've committed a Third Degree Felony. A good place, but very limited until they get a manager/owner who can clean up the process. read more

I've lived in the area for 5 years or so and this is my second time in the store. I've been meaning to stop in because they usual have a set up at my kids school for their winter fest and they serve mini cheesesteaks. My husband and I both had the Chipotle Cheesesteak and it was THE BEST. Everything about it was perfect. The cheese, the gooeyness, the bread...and I was able to stretch one reg sub into two meals. But what made this take out sammy deserve a five star review? I'm not sure I've seen more courteous employees at a sandwich shop. My kid and I went in about 8 pm on April 3, 2015 after his football practice. My kid is 10, and not 1, but 2 employees made conversation with us about what position he played, who he played for and they seemed genuinely happy to talk to us. Every employee was super nice. They even pretended to throw the sandwich to my kid football style. I hope whoever owns this joint reads this, finds out who was on duty that night and gives every single guy in there a raise. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered Jersey Mike's earlier today for lunch. There was a lot of staff and the line went very quickly. I told them it was my first time and they had several recommendations. I chose the #7 which was freshly sliced turkey and provolone cheese. I had it the "Mike's Way" which included spices, oil and vinegar, lettuce , tomato and onions. I had the option of adding additional toppings and I chose mayo and pickles. I believe they had mustard , jalapeños and banana peppers among others. They also had two options for bread, white or whole wheat. The sandwich itself was very fresh as well as the bread. Being that I chose to put oil and vinegar on it along with mayo the sandwich itself was not soggy . I would definitely go there again in the future and recommend it to others. read more

As a former employee and customer I would not reccomend.There is mold in the walk in as well as rust and mildew where dishes are kept. The meatcase was never wiped down nor was the drawer you would take beef out of to cook on the grill, which is also never cleaned, just scraped. The bathroom's are rarely cleaned and the floors are disgusting. The trays that hold meat and cheese in the meatcase are never changed out,There's rotting food in the walk in, and most of the employees never changed their gloves, even after handling money, I have found insects in the lettuce numerous times. The beef is watered down and doesn't taste very good, the prices are way too high for a sandwich you can make at home for a cheaper price. Not to mention working there isn't worth the free sub or the stress you have to put up with on top of the god awful customers. The verbal abuse and harassment isn't worth it, being threatened physically and verbally by customers on a regular basis isn't worth it. And the pay is not worth it. And while some of the subs are pretty good, it will never make up for it. All the bleach on the planet will never fix those floors. read more
