I'll start my review with a disclaimer.... i don't like eating sandwiches when I eat out. I can make a killer sandwich at home... so I usually don't bother. Nonetheless, on a friends recommendation, we went to Jersey Mikes to have a sub. The place is small, with some T.v.'s playing NFL or baseball. What's different at Jersey Mike's? They slice the meats and cheese to order. So, what's the big deal? I think in the end, the meats and cheese are less dehydrated because the thin slices aren't sitting around in the fridge waiting to be used. We ordered #13 (4 meats) for my husbands carnivore pleasure and he enjoyed it. I'm not big on cold meats, but I admit, it was very good and I ate my share. Bread... this is the most important part for me (carb queen that I am). The wheat bread was delicious! You can actually see and taste the grains of wheat in the bread, it's not just "brown" bread (I wonder sometimes), but actual grainy wheat... anyway, that just made the sandwich super. OK so I must be the one weirdo who doesn't like it here. Came here for dinner at 8:30pm- let me state right off the bat the employees were very nice and attentive. I ordered the Italian, Mike's Way. I was not impressed. Sure the meat is sliced right there and the bread was not bad but OMG I think I could have died from salt intake, the sandwich was wayyy too salty for me. I had maybe 5 bites and gave the rest away...and I don't give my food away to anybody! It was a bit pricey for a sandwich, but I am willing to pay money for a decent sandwich. Ok I love their sandwiches but service sucks. They have a misunderstanding of service. We had a pickup order that had a time schedule for say 12:50. I arrived at 12:30 and checked in so they knew I was there. 10 people waiting for pickup. After they cleared the line of walk ins 2x and it was 12:40 I said where is mine? I'm in the queue why isn't it first come first serve. They said no I have to wait to the schedule pickup time. So while they do nothing for the 10 people waiting for pickup they are handling the new people coming in and out because they have to make U wait until the original quoted time. I think this is stupid and made them give me a refund. We both lost. When customers are waiting onsite take care of them that is service. There are other places to get lunch.. Takes forever, bunch of high schoolers working here, they don't hit the +30min deadlines for a sandwich and have waited over an hour in an empty store. Sandwiches are great though that's the only reason I consider putting up with it. read more

He left a message that detailed concern, I wasn't able to communicate to him when he reached out to me but he never gave up trying. After the 3rd time, we were able to make contact. He wanted to make the situation right by offering us a free meal and introduction. I told him I wasn't looking for anything free and that I wish more managers/business owners would care enough to resolve their one star reivews. I explained to him that one person will not deter us from visiting this location. We like the product and perhaps that employee on shift was tired. This place is near my house. I like the sandwiches. they are pretty filling. I haven't had any problem with my food here. so that is a plus. the place always looks clean. This is definitely a good place to go if you are tired of the Old Subway and Quiznos fare. read more

All I have had for most of my east coast life, when it comes to subs, is a subway sub. After visiting this place for my second time the other day...subway sucks! I love the fresh sliced options of meats/cheeses and adding the "Mike's Way" to a sub is a must! I would go back to this place over and over and over again...good bye subway...UNLESS I only have $5 in my pocket for lunch. I absolutely love Jersey Mikes Subs! They have the best quality, largest sized subs out of all of the chains. Being that is less than 2 miles from my house, I frequent it often(but not as often as I would like). First of all, unlike Subway, Quiznos, and Togos their customer service sets the bar of what sandwich shop service should be like. Second they all are college students. What a great company to only hire college students. And all the tips go to their college funds. Sure, it's probably not much but every bit conus when you're in college. Second, the quality of their ingredients are apparent from first sight. They have a meat/cheese slicer and cut it fresh in front of you. I always go when I get a coupon from them. One of the my favorites is a buy 2 giant subs, get the third $2.99 (it use to be free but inflation and all). I ALWAYS get the #20, Pastrami Reuben w/ extra 1000 Island dressing (I'm a fat bastard). It is the best reuben in town, HANDS DOWN!!! Next ill either get a #13 or a #56 which is a Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. Loaded with steak, mushrooms, jalapeños, onions and peppers. I get mine with chipotle mayo. It adds even more of a kick! My wife gets the #7, Turkey and Provolone Mikes way. Flavor= alright Price=not a value The lunch line is sooooooo long and that is mostly due to the fact that they have ONE guy cutting your deli meats/cheese whilst the other guy down the assembly line often has to WAIT until the first guy gets the sandwich on his part so that he can assemble....you know how this story is going to end, don't you? It takes far too long to get a sandwich on a lunch hour and the price is $7.75 for the regular sized turkey and cheese sandwich. The price would be worth it if I got more turkey on the sandwich but that darned machine slices you 8 PARCHMENT PAPER THIN layers, so you'd better get that lettuce going on the sandwich or you'll feel as though you've had Chinese for lunch...hungry two hours later. read more

Of the 2 locations Ive come across in Orange, this location stands miles apart from the other. They put on at least twice the amount of meat and the staff is much friendlier. Always enjoy eating there and have even taken clients from the office that have heard thee name but have never tried the food. Now, its one of the first things mentioned when they return. I visit this Jersey Mike's often. Tristian greeted us with a friendly smile and was especially attentive this particular visit which is what prompted me to writ this review but I always receive excellent service and the food is delicious. My favorite is the California Club. I can no longer eat Subway because of the high quality ingredients Jersey Mike's uses. It's perfect to come here before a Disneyland trip or the beach to pack food and save money. Plus they offer students a discount off a regular, chips, and drink. read more

Had the Philly Cheese Steak. Second visit to this chain and would recommend over Jimmy Johns.

The most disrespectful visit we had as a customer by an assistant manager named Austin. We had a simple order of 2 cheese steak subs and my wife requested for toppings. The assistant manager seemed annoyed and impatient for some reason and told us "we dont put toppings on these subs". It wasnt busy at all, only one customer behind us. So we asked is it extra to add toppings and the cashier named Juan said no and its ok for us to add toppings at no extra charge. So my wife asked Austin to add toppings to one sub and in a hurry Austin wrapped both up in a rush without asking if we wanted toppings on the second sub. At this point my wife felt annoyed and told Austin we don't appreciate his attitude and again he states that its because they do not add toppings to the cheese steaks. My wife was fed up, asked for corporates number and Austins reply was "you can look it up". Since when is adding toppings on a sub such a hard task to do when you work at a restaurant. Especially as an assistant manager, should be pleased to serve the best quality subs to their customers. They lost a customer and will definitely spread the word about this place for as long as Austin is working there. read more

I personally know it's no fault of Mikes with the current situation . I could see the stress in the employees faces while still holding a smile , but I don't think I'd ever return while social distancing in place . I got to Mikes about 11:45am and it took a 1/2 from start to finish . With about 10 customers . The sad thing is I walked out with my order and looked in my bag and the young girl with long brown hair forgot to put chips in my bag . Then I got back to work (late) my bread was not what I ordered and it was missing the vinegar and no napkins . Start to finish a bad experience . At least get those things right and let your customers worry about social distancing . There is 6 of you hip to hip behind the counter with no social distancing . You've provided social distancing stickers that's enough . Let the rest happen . Don't police it's not your job and I'm not saying that in a bad way, but it's to much for a business to worry about . They make it, cut it I half and then charges my dad for 2 regulars instead which costs way more than a giant. My dad sadly didn't see this screw up and paid the price. Not impressed...... I'm staying at a hotel nearby, and ate here twice. The second time was only for variety's sake. I ordered online, and I do like their online ordering system. For the money, it is not worth it. I really should have taken pictures. FIRST TIME Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak- VERY DISAPPOINTING. It was so soupy, because there was way too much chipotle mayo on it. It was like cream of chicken soup, with very little chicken, or onions. I got mine with no peppers. ALSO, I ordered on White, and it came on Wheat. THAT WAS A BUMMER. I was so looking forward to it, and was thoroughly bummed when I bit into it. It was a great idea, but with really bad execution. I would have complained if I was there, but got it as take out. JM's Famous Cheese Steak- My brother ordered this and his was good. Enough meat, and was night and day compared to my sandwich. He said it was OK, not bad. The Original Italian- Got this to put in the fridge and ate it the next day for lunch. Got the Vinegar and Oil on the side so it wouldn't get soggy. This was a decent sandwich. SECOND TIME Club Supreme w/Extra Meat- Turkey, Roast Beef, Bacon, and Provolone. I paid $2.25 more for extra meat, and it wasn't anymore meat than what was on my brothers Italian. It was maybe a 1/4 inch worth, including the cheese! So imagine what the regular meat portion would have been. Not what I'd expect in a $10.20, 8 inch sub. I'm thinking that maybe they forgot to add the extra meat to mine, or they added the meat to the Italian. It seemed like there was a lot more meat on the Italian this time. The Original Italian-My brother got it this time. Was good, and seemed more substantial than the one we got the other day. $19 for 2 regular sized subs. It was very disappointing. I think it is hit or miss with what you order. The Italian and the Regular Cheese Steak were OK. The other's weren't worth it. I will add, the white sub rolls are excellent! If you read my other reviews, I am pretty easy to please. I think I'm fair because I base my reviews on price, service, and expectations, not just food quality. Afterall, you get what you pay for, and when it is better, I reward extra stars for it. This would have gotten a 4 if they were solid subs, but half the order was disappointing, both times I ate here. I don't think it is any fault of the staff, or establishment. I just think it is the franchise itself and how they expect the sandwiches to be made. Ate at a couple Mike's locations in Vegas whith friends, and was never impressed. Capriotti's are way better. This review goes out to all the Jersey Mikes locations. I really love this sandwich place. They have delicious subs and you get what you pay for. The meat is fresh, the bread is fresh (expect after 9pm. The bread gets a little hard probably because it's been sitting around all day) the veggies are also fresh and I love when they do my sub "Mike's Way." Every location I have been too are really friendly. Especially the one in Irvine when I forgot my wallet in my car and they trusted me enough to let me take my sandwich and go get my wallet. This place blows Jimmy John's, subway and togos out of the water. If I wasn't on a low card diet I'd eat here every day and get the California club seven days a week. The sandwiches are great here. The service however is horrible. No name tag - tall white guy with Justin Bieber hair and the koi fish tattoo, was extremely rude! He was so upset he had to take our order... Even mumbled to a co-worker "if we keep doing this were never going to close" oh you mean close the shore? Which closes in 3 HOURS. Couldn't even look at us in our eyes kept mumbling stuff under his breath the entire time. He was even tapping his hand on the table, as if we didn't know what we were ordering. Mild pro of being in the healthcare field is pharm rep lunches.. jersey mike catered to our office and brought a delicious turkey sub w/ bacon that had yummy bread and good seasoning. My tastebuds were quite delighted. This might say a lot since I think chain subs are good, nothing I ever crave. Subway, Togos and Quiznos are usually second choice meals for me because I don't see subs as a craveable meal.. Jersey Mike's is on it's own level. Will definitely try to make it out to jersey mikes on my own and drag along a friend or two. read more
