As a sandwich place I would probably give it five stars, but always hate to do that when there are quite a few crazy-good restaurants around. Nevertheless it is my favorite sandwich place and I have eaten there many times. Coming from the Jersey shore and having hung around Point Pleasant many of my younger years, I appreciate the sandwiches "Mike's Way". No Mayo here. I generally order the traditional Italian Sub (#13) on white (Mike's Way). But I have ordered others and my wife likes the Tuna Sub. I have ordered the Philly Steak and it is good too, but a bit salty for my taste. I have eaten at other Jersey Mike's and have found the sandwiches to be good in all of them. Quality control seems better than some fast food places. Sandwiches are certainly better than Subway, but Quiznos is often close, but getting harder to find. BTW: I think the mini sandwich roll is not as good as the regular size, so I tend to order a bit more than I probably need. read more

First time at Jersey Mike's, and will be my last! Employee Marcellus "Mgr." Was flat out rude! Not to mention if he would moved any slower... he would be still! When I asked the kid at the register the name of the employee at the scale, he said Marcellus. I asked him to write the store mgr. Name and phone # he wrote Marcellus... I said he's the mgr. And he replied yep... WOW! When I asked for his boss he said it was Jo Henry (DM). The kid told me to call the store sometime and see if he was there....Theres customer service! Sign on door states patrons should wear masks. Staff all wore masks. Ordered food then in walks a man without a mask, instead of asking him to don a mask the counter person takes the order. All the while the guy is hanging over the counter where food is being prepared. We inquired if they were going to ask patron to use mask. We were told no that they would not refuse him service. They didn't want to lose his business. We walked out. I would not eat at this establishment. It's COVID waiting to happen. read more

The Jersey Mike's on N Thornydale in Tucson is excellent. Very clean, and love the way they slice the meat to order. We had two of the best Philly Cheese Steaks I've ever tried. It was our first visit there and we used a Val Pak coupon. We will definitely go back, even without a coupon. This is my second visit to a Jersey Mike's and I must say I'm quite a fan of the cheese steak- it's all I've had on both visits. I love that there is a wheat bread option. I got a regular- the large looks HUGE - and it was wonderful morsels in every bite, packed with steak and cheese and some peppers. This location is just as friendly as my Speedway visit, and I signed up to the club and earned points toward a sandwich. I'll be back for sure! read more

Uncomfortable experience today. Loud music girl behind the counter talking while looking at me. I say what did you say. She is spacey and disconnected. She says oh nothing I was talking to them (her coworkers). When paying she asks "would you like the senior discount?" I was stunned then said well yes if I were a senior. I went here on Sunday evening. I have been to the AZ Pavilions location before, but never the one in OV. Amazing service - Luke and Eric were really friendly and got my order out in record time. I've been to this location specifically many times, and every time they're always good. Their ingredients are great quality and the sizes are more than fair for the price. The only thing to mention is the employees like to go nuts on the oil and vinegar which makes the sandwich a bit sloppy to eat, however the flavors are all there and I don't mind the extra challenge. I highly recommend Jersey Mike's over subpar establishments like subway or jimmy johns where they don't care about quality in the slightest. If you aren't here for the prices, then Firehouse Subs is the next best thing IMO. Besides the food, the employees I've seen were all very nice and concerned about the customer experience. Location is also a plus being very central to shopping and other options if someone in your party doesn't like subs. read more

Food is, well, great. Service subpar. In customer service arenas, it's all about the service! If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. This is my 2nd visit here. The first one was just after their opening which is not the most typical experience when all are 'putting their best foot forward.' This time, I dropped by for a late lunch. Put in the order with Chad, who was the most professional and courteous worker there. He is excluded from the negatives to follow. (If he is not the mgr, he should be.) [Btw, no one has a name tag on at all, so if you want to complain to a mgr, you would have to resort to describing the person's appearance.] The tall kid who places the items on your sub from the bins in front asked me if I wanted mine "Mike's Way." That's a moniker for "tomatoes, onions, lettuce and 'The Juice,' a blend of vinegar and olive oil" which the sign clearly displayed in front of me. I said, no, I want mayo, tomatoes, onions, light lettuce and the juice. He began putting tomatoes on my sub, then gingerly placed 4(!) thin onion rings on top of that. I stated that I wanted "light lettuce, not light onions" could I have some more onions please? He grabbed more onions from the bin and plopped them on, so many I had to ask for some to be removed. Then he proceeded to pile the lettuce on. I told him that I don't call that "light" lettuce, that's more like heavy. He begrudgingly pulls off the extra lettuce and throws (literally throws!) it back into the bin in front of me. Then he speeds up the process and dumps some of 'the juice' on my sub, slaps the top on and rolls it up as quickly as possible in the paper, shoving it down to the cashier, turns on his heels and sprints into the back room. I, however, am still waiting for the 2nd sub I ordered, a cheese steak, to be finished on the grill. Expecting to be able to add a few items to that when it's removed from the grill, I hang out in front of the bins. The cashier asks, "is that all?" I say, "no, I'm waiting for my 2nd sub." Oh, that's ok, he says, I'll ring you up now. (Grr. I know this is going to mean I may not get extras on the cheese steak), but I go ahead and pay and about that time the 2nd sub gets tossed at him to be placed in a bag. The entire time this transpired, a young girl (poss. the same one previously mentioned in another review (?) as spacey and disconnected also sprinted for the back room. Must be an important conference taking place back there.) However, unlike the previously mentioned reviewer, I wasn't offered a senior discount although I'm sure I'd prob. qualify. After paying, I tell the cashier I wanted some of the add ons for the cheese steak. Guess he couldn't handle that, as he, too, left for the back room! By now, Chad came over and asked what he could help with. When I told him I'd like some of the peppers, he helpfully put some in a cup for me, as well as asked me if I were discontent with `something.' Yes, if it weren't for you, the cust. svc. in here would be totally abysmal. I won't be back again. This is service which isn't up to par for long-term business.
